  1. 4 more votes and I should be the “Featured Comment” – this is exciting, like Christmas morning as a kid.

  2. Ok I figured it out wrie what ever your gonna wrte and at the end put I hate Harper. And it will stick. Please vote for me as well I am Paul in Calgary and my title is while I love the CBC blahhh it is time to privatize. Read it all you will laugh.

  3. Yeeeeeees – 51 votes!
One more than the “Community Based Social Media” weenie – but how come I’m not up in lights?

  4. Here’s the response I got from Reimagine CBC:
“Balance seems like a good principle. We’d love to see a report that outlines which political stripes get more airtime. We think one of the best way for the CBC to be balanced for it delve deeper into local communities and to become more open and participatory by better utilizing social media. If they were a more crowdsourced operation they’d more likely get to a place we’d all see as balanced because it would be Canadians in the driver’s seat. That’s what is so awesome about the CBC, because it’s a public organization with a social mandate, we can ask for more decision making power in terms of programming. There’s a huge opportunity with digital tools right now.”

  5. Paul. In Calgary >
Tried to Paul but they neutered you faster than a Nazi vasectomy at Auschwitz.

    Plus ca change…!
    Idea Body:
More homosexual news network presenters, more barely-qualified viz mins, more shoddy production values for lamely-scripted dreck, more dowdy middle-aged female “news” “correspondents”, more Evan Solomon and George Snuffleupegus, more daughters of Liberal cabinet ministers, and of course…more Gee-yawn Ghomeshi!
    What could possibly go wrong?

  7. So our little experiment proved one thing –
You can get the majority of votes with the highest rating and the (Vote for Democracy) club has decided that the “Featured idea” will be:
    “Community Based Social Media”
Wow who would have ever guessed? Goes to show how stupid everyone is but at least they are there to set us on the right path with our money.

  8. Paul in Calgary: I can’t vote for you because I’ve spent ten minutes trying to find you.
What did you say that was such a hit?

“..it appears as though things have gone horribly wrong.”
    Yea, your right WE WIN!!!
Too bad that some of their Acorn voting nitwits can’t read past the Human Rights Abuses headline much less understand that context of the comment goes against their supreme masters wishes.
Harpers going to repeal section 13 regardless, it’s in the works, but it’s nice to know the lefts finally on board with him on something. LOL.

  10. How long do you think my newest comment will last?
“CBC needs more porn, but it should be made in Canada. Importing porn from France is wrong we need Canadian porn on our tax payer funded government network!”

  11. Here’s my latest:
    “Empowerment Hour”
Let’s see if the lefty loons will get behind scrapping the Long Gun Registry. LOL.

  12. Oh Oh,
looks like promoting power to the woman with gun ownership was just too much for them, I’m banned now too.
Even tried to get on with another computer.

  13. Here’s what they don’t want you to see:
The CBC needs to have community based Empowerment Hours,
To better promote the idea that Women and the disabled indeed have the power to protect themselves from violent offenders. The CBC should get behind parliamentary legislation like Bill C-10 and C-19 so that our most vulnerable in society are not continually victimized by thuggish men.

  14. How about more coverage of Brian Mulroney and the Airbus scandal — like maybe an entire week of it 24/7?
(That should kill off the remaining viewership).

  15. I just don’t think they are getting the humor! You folks are WAY funnier than Mercer or 22 mins!

  16. How come these leftard union-thug huggers don’t declare themselves as the foreign funded front group they are?
And it is not just any foreigners, but those scary evil imperialist Americans they have been warning us about since the ‘70’s.
On top of it all, it is a group owned by a capitalist member of the global banking untermensch race!
    The horror.
    If only they knew.
If they do, how do they square all the diametrically opposed issues that truth encompasses?
They’d probably lose half their followers. You know, scratch a leftists…

  17. trappedintrudopia >
Good question. I already suggested that they hotwire in Al Jazeera, to keep the “message” alive and save taxpayer money.
They knocked it out of the ballpark in under a minute. Guess they didn’t want to save us any money.

  18. I was wrong. Sigh. I can’t seem to get banned though. I’m trying so hard:
“Better looking news readers — because some faces are meant for radio.”

  19. Joel >
I feel bad for you. Why don’t you try something like:
“I love the CBC and their constant coverage of Omar Kadar Canada’s national pride and new symbol of excellence” – opening line suck-up.
“Do you think that Omar has been made gay in the American prison system, and if not why do we support Obamba so much”? – Confusion ensues with CBC censor, then tears, then frothing anger, more tears, broken keyboard, meds, then ban.
It’s a process with these people.

  20. These people are twits. If anyone can still get on,take a minute to read the page about setting up your own “Reimagining the CBC” neighbour hood meeting. A few of their suggestions;
•Respect others opinions and view points . •Bring pens (and markers if possible) so that participants can write ideas, create nametags. •Make sure there are enough seats for everyone who’s coming”
They also suggest that these meetings break into groups of three, and then get back together to discuss the ideas.
Yhey’re children trying to play grown-up. The top comment by Knight 99 has been turfed,so much for respecting others.
However,I still have 3 comments going. They probably think that having convicted murderer Khadr as a political analyst to explain the nuances of islam,is thinking outside the box.
    Simple twits,nothing more.

  21. Thanks for sending this to Sun Media. My stars were not registered either. Ezra will have a field day with this. Georgie Porgie must be scratching for $$, he should just take one of the fruit fly’s mansions and sell it, he likely paid for one of them.

  22. My comment has 6 votes, for which I’m grateful. I very carefully and diplomatically mentioned the government funding, and snuck in the bit about the French porn (as shown on Brian Lilley’s show). I relied on a return to programming aimed at Canadian values to get those two past the censor.

  23. rg at 2:52 AM: “Dear Lord, they have a Youtube channel”
Thanks for that, rg. I went. I watched. I commented. I got the hell out of there.

“Why do you spend so much time and energy on this drivel?”
    Better than Oprah?
