  1. On crack is right. Mr. Iffy, comparing himself to Rob Ford is even funny. I didn’t think he had a sense of humour. Nothing could be further from the truth.

  2. Iffy had me at “I smell sulfur from Harper’s Diesel on the Liberal bus tour.”
    Great stand up comic routine…

  3. That guy reminds me of Ian Richardson playing “Francis Urquhart” – a charming, if thoroughly disreputable sleaze.

  4. Today from Joan Bryden, The Canadian Press
“Instead of harping on the Liberals’ tepid polling numbers, Ignatieff said the media should be wondering why Harper’s Tories aren’t doing much better.
“He has every advantage of incumbency, he can spray money around in every constituency in the country and look at his numbers. I mean, you know, I wish I had the tools at his disposal, is all I can say.”
He could also say how much money HE would spray.

  5. “Is this guy insane? I voted for Rob Ford,But I would chop my voting hand off before I would vote for that piece of……….. and his Liberal scum bags.”
I thought this comment by “Wes Smith” was very appropriate and captures MY feeling exactly.
Y’know,if a qualified dentist or barroom brawler was to knock out Iggy’s two front teeth,he’d look like Alfred E.Neumann’s ugly Uncle.

  6. “It’s a vote that says, give me what I paid for”
Only in Liberalville can a tax cutting election platform be considered the same as a value-for-money tax spending platform. Great analysis, Einstein…I hope MI and his team doggedly pursue this line of thought in the next election. Perhaps, to get to the heart of government waste and inefficiency problem, they could promise to assemble a team of experts and appoint a Royal Commission to a conduct a comprehensive study on how to implement “smarter” tax and spend initiatives.

  7. Yes Iggy you could fight as a “outsider” as Ford did, being more American and European etc. etc.

  8. I can’t believe he momentarily took his eye off of the average Canadian’s utmost concern . . . the long-form census!!!!!

  9. Well and truly delusional. If he forces and election he is going to get one very big wakeup call.
How could the CBC and Star possibly spin this story. They tell us not to vote for Ford because he’s a red neck, facist, stupid racist as are his followers. Now they are going to tell us to vote for Iggy because he’s just like Ford.

  10. I have but one question: Did they rehire Katsmeat?
For you confused Libs out there (I know you lurk here) allow me to clear up some of the mystery. Toronto did not vote Rob Ford because they want “better” government. They want LESS government.
That would be a government with a smaller employee head count, with fewer responsibilities, which regulates less things, and costs less.
Not “value for money”. Less money. And by “less” money, I mean a great deal less, as in less than half what is currently spent. A 75% tax cut would be a good start.
    CPC, are you listening?

  11. The iggy/Liberal desperation gets more pathetic by the trumped up headline.
He may not be on crack – he may, however, have his head up some crack.

  12. Those rose colored spec’s just turned to smoke color,
Btw whats with the Fur Coats on Trudeau & Family Christmas Cards.
Ya know its all over the media making fun of The PM’s Christmas Card missing snow in the background But very little on the outrage from the Anti-Fur activist complaining about Trudeau.

  13. What is really sad is that Harper’s Conservative government is probably outspending the previous Liberals.
I really don’t care who is in power, as long as they SPEND LESS!!!!
Where do we go when the Conservatives start outspending the Liberals?

  14. “Ya know its all over the media making fun of The PM’s Christmas Card missing snow in the background But very little on the outrage from the Anti-Fur activist complaining about Trudeau.”
Because we all know that if the Harper’s had been wearing fur, well, the fur would be flying for weeks from every corner.
But when messiah Justin wears fur….cue.the.crickets!

  15. Could it be they are smarter when they enter Harvard than when they come out? Just wondering, this clown Iggula and Obongo seem to be very dull fellows propped up by the idiots in their ever sycophant media, the same media dolts that can’t spell and believe in globull warming. This is indeed scary if the United Nutbars get their way and control the internet. Forced viewing and listening of CBC CTV ABC CBS etc, with ugly women anchors to boot along with George Strumaplatupus, oh the humanity!

  16. from the article
“The same people that voted for Rob Ford voted for me and they’re not crazy,” said Ignatieff, who has won two elections in the riding of Etobicoke in Toronto’s southwest corner. “I feel Rob Ford is capitalizing on something that I saw all summer and all autumn, which is a middle class that feels the elastic is wound very, very tight.”
IMO*This next section below is the part that really gets me a Liberal talking about every Dollar a person earns owes dollar-fifty.
the Fnnn Liberals are Masters at Taking the $1.5 from the people..
“For every dollar they earn, they owe a dollar-fifty. They’re worried about the cost of post-secondary education. They’re worried about their retirement. They pay a lot in municipal taxes — this is where Ford comes in — and they say, what am I getting back?”

  17. If I recall, (st)Iffy said the Tee-Dot election results were a “message to the Conservatives” shortly after the election. The fact that he’s decided to expand on this theory leads me to believe (st)Iffy will be riding the “better value for your tax dollars” theme in 2011.
Going back to Dion, the Liberals have been very consistent in their view that “Canadians value the role of government in their everyday lives”. I heard Dion say some iteration of this many times. I think it will be very good for the Conservatives if the issue in the next election is Less Government vs. (so called) Efficient Government.
I believe that the Ace up the sleeve for the Conservatives is the Green Shift the Liberals pushed last election. Where would the economy be today had the Liberals been in government? That is the question we should be raising this election cycle. We need to make the Liberals wear this! You can not argue for austerity when your main platform plank just two years ago was to obliterate the economy. Or can you?

  18. Just also wondering what cabinet posting Iggula has offered that leftie mmillie Peeair Bourque, should the poles ever reverse and Iggula becomes PM? That poor little racetrack loser spends all his bandwidth hammering Harper when he isn’t ooggling Pam Andersons rubber assets, and there must be something promised for anyone to prostitute themselves as Peeair does. His site is a lot like Torstar and Gropes, the headlines give our family hours of laughter.

  19. Ignatieff is proving to be an absolute moron. Is this man really as clever as his idolizers make him out to be?
Every time I hear him speak I shudder because it seems that all he has to offer is a plan to take us back to the dark days of Chretien, Trudeau, etc.
There isn’t a single refreshing idea in his Harvard-educated mind. Harvard isn’t nearly as special a place as some would like us to believe.

  20. .. On crack. Well, the interview was done at “Stoneaway”. At least according to the caption under the photo.

  21. Indiana Homez said: “You can not argue for austerity when your main platform plank just two years ago was to obliterate the economy. Or can you?”
Only if you are a Liberal. Because if you are a Liberal, you can rest easy knowing -nobody- in the MSM is going to bring up The Green Shaft during the election. Not in a question, not in a debate, not in an editorial, no place.
Which is why I LOVE the Internet.

  22. This is going to get really funny watching the coconut college journos at the star and globe spinning and twisting how Iggy and Rob Ford are political kindred spirits.I expect Mike is going to put on some weight.

  23. At first I thought the MSM just played a re-run of last years threats by Iggula.
Not even Christmas, and the count has had too much eggnog!

  24. I think we are witnessing the end of the count for real. Time for the scumbag thieving liberals to bring their best to the table, Que Justin Beiber… err, sorry Justin Trudeau.

  25. Justin Trudeau as leader of the LPC would be appropriate, karmic and funny all at once.
Trudeau mania set this country on a socialist course. Trudeau derision could save it.

  26. This reminds me of Obama’s claim that the voters were still mad at Bush when Scott Brown was elected to “Ted Kennedy’s” Senate seat.

  27. “I don’t think it was an anti-government vote. It’s a vote that says, give me what I paid for,” Ignatieff said during the interview in Stornoway, his official Ottawa residence. “And that’s the test for someone like me, who believes in good government. We’ve got to deliver for these people.”
This, from the party that stole 400 Million Canadian Tax Dollars in Adscam and haven’t paid back a penny.
“For every dollar they earn, they owe a dollar-fifty.
This, from the party that wouldn’t put property rights in the repatriated constitution, swore to recind the GST, then kept the GST building a balanced budget on it with surplusses, and later protested Stephen Harper’s lowering the GST by 2%.
Way to try and ride the wave of populism, Mikey.
Too bad the truth is a speed bump on your slick socialist street.

  28. Iggy, go back to Harvard, or Russia, or where ever you feel most welcome. Because here, in the heartland, you are most unwelcome.

  29. No, not crack, he’d be making far more sense if he was taking a CNS stimulant. PCP or ketamine are drugs more likely to be associated with the total disconnect from reality we’re seeing here.

  30. syncrodox @ 10:14, be careful what you ask for, as a whole generation might swoon for Justin just like they did for his pa.

  31. There must be something in the royal jelly Liberal drones feed their leaders which produces early senility.
