Enjoy it, it’s a great town but you have to see a certain side of it — I”m sure you already have a booking but I highly recommend the Double Happiness hotel. Not super swank but great, little hotel smack in the middle of a hutong. It was fun just walking out to the main street to start the day. I also recommend the subway, don’t take cabs everywhere – super easy and you won’t forget the experience.

I am getting off topic here, but the fact Conrad Black is in prison in the US, does not mean that his reclaiming his Canadian Citizenship is out of the question.
Why don’t you email him yourself “chutzpahticular”, he will reply.
One proviso of course is that you cannot hide behind an ” internet Pseudonym” when you email him but will need to identify yourself.
