  1. BANG ON!!! I notice the deck hand that looked over the side to read the sign did not seem upset about it, probably because he knows it is true. Good on C-Fact.

  2. I’d suggest they also hang the “ship of lies” banner from the Sea Shepherd Society’s Farley Mowat, but I guess that’d be redundant.

  3. Am I a bad person because this makes me smile?
Watch Greenpeace claim foul and blame the “oil companies” for funding CFACT!

  4. Must have been a lengthy debate over whether to hang a ‘Ship of Lies’ or a ‘Ship of Fools’ banner o’er the side.

  5. Too Funny!!!
I would have thought the Arctic Sunrise and Rainbow Warrior would be plying the ice free Northwest Passage rescuing drowning polar bears rather than posing for pictures in harbor.

  7. Judging from the comments, they seem to have irked one “whopaysyourbills1984”.
And sails Rednik? Don’t be so obtuse! Greenpeace are the poster children for do as I say, not as I do. Nuthin and I mean nuthin pumps the dreaded CO2 into the air faster than a ship underway. Them lovely 10, 12, and 16 cylinder diesels are an amazing converter of fuel into CO2. Especially ancient tramps (the ships, not the crews…..well maybe).

  8. The Greenpeace Navy . . . .nothing an ADCAP or two wouldn’t fix.
Maybe the Navy could make a deal 🙂

  9. “Can’t we just sink them? Or has somebody tried that already?”
Believe it or not, we owe the French a debt of gratitude for doing just that………
    French Sinks the Greenpeace Ship
“As part of its summer Pacific Peace Voyage, the Greenpeace ship Rainbow Warrior was scheduled to take part in a protest against French nuclear bomb tests on an island in the Pacific. While the ship was docked in Auckland, New Zealand, two bombs were attached to its hull by French secret service agents. The bombs exploded, leading to the death of a Greenpeace photographer and the ship’s sinking.”

  10. Well done CFACT. Having worked in northern communities, I’ve seen first hand the economic devastation wrought by Greenpeace and their ilk. Greenpeace is indeed one of the most unethical, savage, abusive, bullying corporations on the planet. I hope there’s a special place in hell for them.

  11. “by baffling the crew with doughnuts”
ROFL! That’s the funniest thing I’ve read in days.
I wonder if the guy in that long queue yesterday who wanted to keep his a$$ warm by wearing socks was one of the crew.

  12. A well-placed torpedo into one of the ships would keep the other one in port indefinitely.
Kill two birds with one stone, so to speak.

  13. I think Lickmuffin was being smarmy.

Redundant on so many levels….I really enjoy Whale Wars for all the wrong reasons….the “Ive been shot” episode had me in stitches…

  14. Can’t wait to see this headlining the National(CBC). Climategate, the most important news story of my lifetime (bad, manipulated science meant to destroy our way of life, along with all the accomplishments and inventivness of our ancestors), gets ignored while admittedly hoax emails meant to make fools of our gov’t get 2 stories on the first day. And “associated press” sends their science editor to check if this is newsworthy. He is implicated in the emails as basically an activist pawn, interviews himself, Hadley, UEA etc. and finds nothing wrong. Peer review by “moderates” agree. These moderates(3) all have a history of support of “the cause”. I’m 55 years old, have worked hard and produced tangible goods and never imagined that I would be driven to protest, but tell me where to be and when. It’s time to let these coddled, unemployable parasites know that we will only accept their drivel for so long. News at 11.

  15. how can an organization call itself greenPEACE and name its flagship rainbow WARRIOR?
    jist askin’ …….
I’ve got a yen for a Timmies coffee now. LOL !!!

  16. Great post by Richard Fernandez at the Belmont Club:
    http://pajamasmedia.com/richardfernandez/2009/12/16/coping-in-copenhagen/

Copenhagen is shaking itself to pieces. Whatever the climate change movement may turn out to be, criminal conspiracies are typically held together by the prospect of dividing the loot. Up until the heist is consummated, a kind of brotherhood holds the perps together. But once the loot is in hand, but more especially if the loot comes up short, then the sidelong glances begin.

  17. Question: If you were a Green Peace spokesman, how would you deal with this?
You can’t very well condemn people for trespassing. Such hypocrisy is too blatant.
I think I would condemn CFACT as a corporate shill. Anti-corporatism is a dependable harbour when the seas get rough.

  18. Read the comments at the story greed. The one decenting voice is way off it’s meds and doing exactly that.
It cannot determine if it is Shell or Exxon fronting the cash for CFACT.

  19. I hear there were sit-ins in the PMs office, as well as Jim Prentice’s. I was thinking of leading a counter sit-in at the Green Party constituency office, but I don’t know if they bothered to have one in Calgary.
Abe Froman, your comment is just plain bad.

  20. I dunno Greenpeace guys didn’t seem to concerned about the whole thing, and who exactly is CFACT and are we replacing one Devil with another. I mean lets face it this is big business and lots of your money at stake.
Ok business is the wrong word, a business actually produces something of use to someone, somewhere. All these clowns do is line up for .gov handouts of my money.
I remember when Greenpeace began I liked them of course cause I liked whales, I was a kid and touchy feely scams hadn’t gotten as sophisticated as they are today.
Greenpeace may actually have been the first.

    Big Al’s Motto: I am a liar.
    …-
“The clarification said that Mr Gore “misspoke” on the polar ice prediction and that he meant that the cap would be nearly ice-free.”
“Al Gore tries to cool ‘climate spin’ by correcting claims of North pole thaw”
“Mr Gore’s office, however, stood by the choice of data. It said that the US Navy research unit was in a stronger position to give predictions as it had unique access to measurements of ice volume by submarines.”

  22. More scumbaggery , the Russkies just threw the CRU under the bus.
Posted by: Bill D. Cat at December 16, 2009 6:54 PM
I’m hoisting up some Stolychnaya in my bedtime screwdriver for that tonight!
I especially loved it when the Russian media scooped the CBC on Climategate CRU…
Absolutely, priceless…Russians scupper the “Hope ‘n Whoring” treaty.
Its a ‘Hunt for the Red October’ evening tonight.
Torpedo LOS for the East Anglia CRU!

  23. whopaysyourbills1984 – first useful asshole up against the wall if HIS paymasters ever gain power.

  24. Great link Bill D Cat. CRU seems to be getting buried like Wile E Coyote under an avalanche of rocks he’s pulled down on himself. I wonder if this explains the suggested Russian link in the original download of e-mails and data.

  25. how did that Cyndi Lauper tune go.
    Slime after Slime
I can lie and I will still be with you.
    Slime after Slime.
    Slime after Slime.

  26. Now THAT is funny. Hanging a banner off a Greenpeace ship, brilliant!
Maybe they could hang a big Communist Broadcasting Corporation banner off the CBC building next.

  27. “What I wouldn’t give to be a Danish police officer right now.”
The evening news had a couple of nice shots of Danish riot police using batons, fists & boots with remarkable organization, verve and enthusiasm, on the usual shit disturbers.
I was in a quandary, on one side I wanted to see them beat up, on the other letting the “usual suspects” into the conf hall to raise cain and disturb the great and good was also amusing.
Seeing them complaining about being pepper sprayed, and bitching about being roughed up though made my meal.

  28. A picture speaks a thousand words as the saying goes. Thanks Kate, made my trip here worth while again. Where do you find the time?
