Change You Can Believe In

Finally … action:

The United Nations will conduct its own investigation into emails leaked from a leading British climate science centre in addition to the probe by the University of East Anglia, a senior UN climate official said Friday.
Emails stolen from the climate unit at the University of East Anglia appeared to show some of world’s leading scientists discussing ways to shield data from public scrutiny and suppress others’ work. Those who deny the influence of man-made climate change have seized on the correspondence to argue that scientists have been conspiring to hide evidence about global warming.

  1. Right. The UN will conduct an investigation into the climate scandal, the same way it conducted an investgation into Robert Fowler’s allegations earlier this year, where he alleges that the only way he could have been a victim of a targeted kidnapping by Islamic extremists in Africa was “…that someone in my UN department had leaked my exact whereabouts”.
This was the extent of the investigation: The CBC’s Peter Mansbridge refused to believe Fowler in his interview (although Mansbridge believed everything else Fowler told him), made a quick call to somebody in the UN and asked: “Did one of you guys breach Fowler’s security; does the UN have a mole?” The answer: “Nope”. Then Mansbridge went on the air the next day and announced to Canada: “I investigated with the UN, and they said ‘nope’ they didn’t breach Fowler’s security — there are no moles in the UN”.
    Case closed.

  2. New flash!! Al Gore et al are repositioning themselves for the next climate change hysteria. the coming ice age. First time ever, snow in Houston on this date.

  3. Oil for food … nuclear arms inspectors…. human rights investigations….oversight of elections….war crimes ….
The only way the UN can possibly come up with a result in this matter is if they can find a way to blame Israel.
As a matter of fact …. keep your eyes and ears open because it won’t be long before somebody does.

  4. ummmm… was I imagining it, or did there used to be little thumbs up or down that you could vote on underneath the article at the train engineer.
They wouldn’t have taken them away if they weren’t going the way they wanted would they?

  5. Nonsense – Obama isn’t thinking about ‘building a more meaningful Accord’. There’s no agreement expected at this time. Obama, always and ever, has only one focus. Himself.
He won’t let the leaders of India and China grab the spotlight; it will have to be Him. And all about Him.
This is a political tactic geared to his political leftist followers; Obama has been losing them over his Afghan policy of sending troops. So, Obama will raise his Fist to global warming… to keep their vote.
Remember, with Obama, it is never, ever, about America, about the world, about the economy, about the planet. It is always and alone about Him.

  6. The CBC has only 1 reason to release this dreadful piece of propaganda: the hatred of a free market system that has given Canada and the rest of Western civilization unprecedented prosperity that has created jobs not just in the private sector, but has benefited the CBC as well. The release of the climate emails reveals a massive academic fraud, with scientists conspiring, possibly criminally, to delete emails, likely out of guilt, that would have been revealed under the freedom of information request.
These emails reveal a gigantic fraud by an institution that has influenced policy toward a system that would destroy the worlds economy.
Is that what the CBC is trying to do?

  7. I forgot to add:
Thanks Fred for the link, thought I’d send an email, too, for what little good it would do.

  8. I love that they are being pounded in the comments by people who know that the data was cooked and the UN investigation will be a waste of time, yet this is the chosen comment they put beside the story:
“Data? We don’t need no stinkin’ data! Who cares about data! Look around you and you’ll see evidence of global warming everywhere. There’s an Inuit village that’s sinking into the ocean because of the permafrost melt for cryin’ out loud! I don’t know if we’ve been causing this or not but no one can tell me that the earth’s not heating up. C’mon people!”
Journalism at its finest. We don’t need data. We can just look around and see. Well I saw snow yesterday, so I’m very concerned about the next ice age now.
I was also surprised to find out that Inuits built their villages on the ocean.

  9. Isn’t it strange too that for a story filed at 7:30 pm on a Friday night, comments are closed in less than 12 hours, long before many Canadians probably got around to reading said story?
