Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Those protesters are all racist!! (isn’t that the explaination for all Americans who don’t agree with the Obama White House?)
“Frustration could accelerate and descend into something worse”.Other than witnessing Sven Robinson and Lizzie locking lips,how much worse could it be with these groups at the same gathering.
Our new culture now defines all those who did not show up with $6000 in hand for a photo op are racists.
The fascinating thing is that Obama never stops campaigning; it’s essentially a neurotic narcotic for him. And this need, like that of any serial compulsive, is increasing.
He MUST be out in public, spouting off his teleprompter speeches of vapid empty emotional rhetoric, to the reaction of adulating cheers from the selected audience…or…what? He’ll wither and collapse? Move into a rage?
People are slowly becoming aware of this need for adulation, and of his inability to deal with criticism which he views as personal rejection. If he feels rejected, he psychologically feels that he’s lost control of the situation around him and that’s extremely threatening to him.
I don’t think that America has ever had such a psychologically disturbed president and doesn’t know how to deal with him. They are still trying to give him ‘the benefit of the doubt’ and remember, Obama is superb at manipulation. He’ll tell each audience whatever they want to hear; and tell a different audience the opposite the next day – and blame someone else, eg, Bush, for his ‘inability’ to fulfill their different desires.
How long will the Blame Bush tactic work? It’s becoming rather stale. So, who and what will replace him? There MUST be a replacement, because Obama is in the unique situation (for him) where his interactions with people must produce results. For those people..not just for Him.
So far, in his life, Obama’s interactions with people were geared only at producing results for Him. Getting into Harvard; getting to be President of the Harvard Law Review (while others did the work); community organizer where the blame for failure would be on the workers; member of Senate where he merely voted ‘present’.
Now, for the first time, his words to the people are supposed to ALSO include ACTIONS taken by Him! That’s astonishing to Obama. He doesn’t function that way; he, himself, doesn’t do anything; he just talks you into adulation. That’s his only agenda.
As Krauthammer has said, Obama’s fictional or virtual world must meet up with reality. And my point is that Obama is psychologically unable to live in the real world..and is retreating more and more to the virtual world.
As well, socialism is unable to function in the real world, but the BRG (BackRoom Gang) of radical socialists in Obama’s team, are trying to force this scheme through.
CODEPINK is going to be protesting Obama!
…. now that’s funny.
You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.
~Abraham Lincoln, (attributed)
16th president of US (1809 – 1865)
It looks like Urkel’s time for fooling around is coming to an end.
People are getting tired of looking at him and hearing him flapping his gums.
Only 6000 Samolians to NOT be a racist, sounds like a deal.
Has he something to say?
I love it when the left cannibalizes one of their own. It’s a good day when that happens!
Obama has officially jumped the shark! Playing the blame game is for SDA bloggers but certainly not the POTUS.
Americans love to shit on their celebrities when they smell weakness; and that’s what they’re doing…pink crap, union crap and socialist crap all over Him.

Thank you ‘ET’. That is my take on him to and his ‘BRG’
Did anyone else read the Howie Carr column at the BH site?
Moonbats!
He used the term moonbats ….
Rush Limbaugh is just now reading from one of Obama’s college papers, in which he refers to the “so-called Founders”.
But remember: he and Glenn Beck are the crazy ones!
Also? Raaaacccciiiiisssstttsss!!
“Results? Consequenses? Decisions? Work? WTF! I thought I can just keep campaigning, can’t you fix this Rahm?.. they really love me… they really love ………they really………damn Fox News…….they…”
Obama,
The first prince of Bill Ayrs
shaken too much said @12:34 – I know talking to trolls is a sin, but I just wanted to tell you how much I admire the skill with which you combine vulgarity and incoherence. I have no idea what you’re trying to say, but I would defend – to the death! – your right to use so many poopie words to try and say it.
On a different note:
ET – I agree, he’s a narcissist. What do you think’s going to happen when the tide turns against him – when, despite his having won the Presidency, notwithstanding the Nobel Prize, the adulation dries up? (I have no doubt he’s a one-termer.) Will he have a meltdown, and if so, how will that go? I’d appreciate your thoughts.
It is now 13 months to the mid terms. We will see what happenes there. I figured Rahm would last till just after the mid terms but will be gone after that.
I will admit, I am torn. I dont mind him thinking deeply about afghanistan, since I think it is a complex issue, i just wish he had started his process earlier. But this was the knock against him at the beginning thatthere would be too much analysis. If he had done what most Presidents do in the summer, reflect, recalculate, revector and retool he moight have been ok. However, Obama spent his summer tryign to push Health Care, in other words campaigning.
He might just be qualified by the time the 2012 elections roll around. But it isnt the GOP’s for sure, they will need to ind a candidate that they can rally around, has some presence and some experience.
I dont know who that is yet, but Obama is definitely working on becoming carter 2.0
I was wondering when the “blame Bush” thing would stop working. I was pessimistic, I thought it would not be till Obama’s third or fourth term, but maybe I was wrong.
Nothing inspires confidence in people like fixing a problem.
Mr. President?
Nope?
black mamba – admittedly, he’s never put himself in such a vulnerable position. All his life, he’s managed to cocoon himself against direct accountability, against criticism, and has managed to maintain control over the reactions of others in his life.
That includes his time at Harvard and the Harvard Law Review, his time as a community organizer, his time in Senate. This is the first time when he is in a position where he can’t directly control how others react to him. And he’s already becoming destabilized.
You can see how he’s reacting; the anger at opposition is increasing and his need for adulation is increasing.
Obama’s staff are keeping him ’emotionally fed’, so to speak, by sending him on a constant campaign trail. Notice, quite frankly, that this is ALL that Obama seems capable of.
When it comes to making decisions about anything other than his own Being Loved – he dithers; he wavers. One day he tells us there’ll be no public health care option; the next day, as his Democratic Masters wake up, he tells us that there might be one. One month he’s all for Afghanistan; the next month, he wavers. He, himself, has NO intellectual investment in these areas, and so, he voices only the policies of his Democratic handlers..and they are divided.
All he can do, is campaign. And these events are carefully programmed to be filled with acolytes.
Can it last? Can he be kept emotionally satisfied when his need for adulation is rapidly increasing? Can his rage against anyone who rejects him be kept in check? I don’t know, and the other question is – what will the Democratic Party do if/when both his need for adulation and his rage against criticism reach a critical threshold beyond their capacity to deal with it?
And, what if Obama, whose only skill is to campaign for Himself, not for particular policies, doesn’t succeed at getting these policies through? I think that the Democratic Party chose Obama because they thought that his manipulative public skills could get their socialist policies through.
But, his skills refer only, only, to getting Himself Adulated. That’s all. He has no ability to articulate and persuade people to agree to policies and programs. No ability whatsoever…because he, himself, is not intellectually involved in them. He’s only involved in Himself.
So, will the Democratic Party find that maintaing Obama, with his exponentially increasing need for adulation, while his returns to them of getting their socialist statist policies through don’t materialize…will they find Obama simply too expensive and too useless in results..to maintain? Will THEY dump him? Will THEY permit him to collapse IF, IF, they don’t keep him on the adoring campaign trail?
Many questions…
He’s got that old bull horn in his hands
He’s got that old bull horn in his hands
He’s got that old bull horn in his hands
He’s got a big load of bull in his hands
He’s got the windmills and the sunshine in His hands,
He’s got the tides and oceans in his hands;
He’s got the banks and Detroit in his hands;
Hey!, he wants everyone in his hands;
He’s wants the old and the sick in his hands;
He’s wants the old and the sick in his hands;
He’s wants the old and the sick in his hands;
He wants everybody in his hands;
“It is never a good sign when … a coolly calibrating intellectual … is trying to guess what normal people think.”
Herein the problem of running against your own country. How on earth do you deliver on your promises?
Speaking of greed, is the pay czar going after bambam’s cheque? Talk about overpaid and underachieving he sets a standard. I am still wondering how a community organizer became a millionare but I don’t think I will ever find out.
Welcome back ET. I’ve missed your comments.
Again, I agree with 99% of your analysis.
But you still err in attributing all the socialist policy stuff to the “BRG” and in limiting your critique to his psychic pathology, as excellent as that is!
And BTW, Michelle Malkin agrees with my point here, and in many previous posts: That he is himself an ideological hard leftist, and no mere puppet which you SEEM to be consistently suggesting.
Some people might consider this a quibble, but I think it’s very dangerous to give him this get out of jail free on the ideological front. In fact, my guess is that he’d approve of your posts on this subject.
I have an old friend — a hard leftist — who actually believes that Obama is struggling against the hard left of his party. I’m thinking Obama would approve of that view too.
me no dhimmi – well, we’ll just have to continue to disagree!
Remember, I’m not saying that Obama has not deliberately placed himself, politically, within the Democratic Party. He has indeed done so.
He made the choice of the Democratic Party versus the Republican, because the latter emphasizes individual freedom of thought and action, while the Democratic Party is collectivist, focused on an elite set of Rulers within a centralist government. Such a framework means that Obama, as a member of this elite Set, can control others. In the Republican ideology, he’d be up against individuals who reject centralist topdown control.
BUT – what I’m saying is that Obama chose to go into politics. He couldn’t become a doctor, a lawyer, etc, because these require long years of work, intellectual input and learning, and direct accountability. He’s not able, psychologically, do carry out these tasks. He chose politics, given that he could elude accountability within the ‘party’, could progress by his admitted skills at rhetorical manipulation, and could thus control large numbers of people. Perfect career choice.
However, Obama didn’t make this choice ideologically. But psychologically. His need to control others was the only reason, in my view. Obama is not intellectually involved in anything other than Himself.
I’m certainly not letting Obama off from accountability! After all, to allow one’s psychological needs to be used to promote specific policies (which are all about total control of the people)…is reprehensible.
As for Obama fighting with his BackRoom Gang, I think it’s not an ideological fight, but that he, in his need for adulation, swings his policies..dependent on the audience. He needs their adulation. So, to a crowd that doesn’t want the public option..he’ll tell them it might not be necessary. The BRG go into an hysteric flip and Pelosi publicly insists that the public option is necessary. So, Obama then tells the next audience/reporter..that the public option is still there. And..the next day, he..
My question is, how long will the BRG put up with Obama, if His Need for adulation is stronger than His capacity to fulfil their requirements..that he sell those socialist policies.
looks like Obama has the budget under control

Iggy might have been on one of those trips.!!
Obama’s staff are keeping him ’emotionally fed’
ET you have given me three squares today, thank you.
I’ve been starving, thanks for coming back.
Watching Behar right now, my wife is very concerned about a steady diet of Fox.
S.E. Cupp has some sense, Garofalo not so much, Behar still bashing Palin as usual.
ET
we might expect the Zero to appear on more and more TV talk shows, as this would feed his “ego” and allow him to sell “policy”. This would go over well with the shallow thinking leftist couch-potatoes, but he would/is steadily lose support of those who want results to fixing existing problems
the last president that PO’d a broad spectrum of people didn’t make it to the end of his first term, lets hope there is not a repeat of that because the consequences this time could be a civil (race) war!!!
ET; I’m puzzled by something. Would not a narcissist, being critisized for not making decisions, feel compelled to make those decisions in order to be loved again.
I have an old friend — a hard leftist — who actually believes that Obama is struggling against the hard left of his party. I’m thinking Obama would approve of that view too.
me No Dhimmi
That maybe true if you consider the fate of Obama’s father in Kenya… I think he, Obama, needs the support of ET’s BRG, or he could flip
He is a one term problem for the Democrat’s…
The Clinton machine is working the State races in Virginia & New Jersey..Obama is sucking his thumb & fighting with FOX
