  1. “Is that an aging energy pipeline shutting down, or are you just disappointed to see me?”

  2. What is highly amusing is that oil to Sarnia will be cut off….so much for “leverage” for the Carney regime.

    1. Say, isn’t that the constituency of MP Marilyn Gladu, professional Liberal traitor? What do you think the people will do now when the jobs start to disappear?

  3. Whitmer’s continued virtue signaling over Enbridge Line 5 is absurd. If she shuts it down, when she shuts it down it will damage her own state’s economy massively. 50% of the jet fuel used by the Detroit airport will immediately vanish. Apparently, she is too stupid to realize how suicidal that is for the governor of Michigan.

    1. It will vanish for Ontario too. And the courts are moving in the direction to shut it down. Meanwhile, in the U.S., they could build new pipelines for the use of U.S. consumers, but not so much for Ontario.

      1. The state and environmental groups are also moving to block Enbridge’s proposed project to replace Line 5, so they’re convinced the population can survive without energy. It’s going to fun to watch that unfold.

    2. Let us not forget that 100% of Pearson Airport’s jet fuel comes through Enbridge Line 5. I almost want to put up my feet, crack open an beer, and watch how this plays out.

    3. … finding that the company missed a 30-day deadline to change jurisdictions.

Needed energy will be cut off … on a minor clerical technicality. That’s no way to operate a complex culture. Meanwhile … multiple murderers … including Charlie Kirk’s murderer … file motion after motion to delay the trial … and their deadlines are summarily extended. Our cowardly courts are F-ing over the innocent and productive class to empower the criminal class.

    4. But it is wonderful for those of us who want anything that will help euthanize this diseased shitstain joke of a country.

  4. “This pipeline moves a LOT of Saskatchewan oil.”

I don’t think it would have much affect on the movement of Saskatchewan oil or Alberta oil. I did a bit of research about this quite a while back and it looks like the USA would be able to redistribute the entire amount of oil going in line 5 to Ontario/Quebec to other parts of the American pipeline system.

  5. So Ontario may lose its oil supply – all we can say : boo hoo, coulda had a pipeline
Now an approved gasline will collect Northern BC/Alberta gas and deliver it to the US where it gets directed to the coast and sold overseas at a profit. And this is better than a gasline to the BC coast? Liberal logic astounds me.

  6. Ontario losing a major source of their oil and fuel. Ohes Noes. Pity.

    Anyways, Ottawa lost yesterday.

The bad news for Morontariowe keeps racking up. Saskatchewan will always find a buyer for their product, one way or the other.

  7. Yeah, the USSC ruled for Michigan on something that looks rather inconsequential in the big picture. The Supreme Court case only addressed Enbridge’s effort to move the original case to Federal court and out of State Court. I can only assume that Enbridge’s legal team is a bunch of knuckleheads, because they very obviously missed the deadline to do so. This is further supported in that the ruling from the USSC was unanimous.

Meanwhile, the State of Michigan provided permits to Enbridge in 2023 that allow them to (for lack of a better term) upgrade the pipeline to make it more safe. And, Michigan’s Governor (Whitmer the dolt) tried to revocate Enbridge’s easement but lost her case…and the Appeals court wouldn’t even hear it turning down Whitmer’s request.

If I read this right, the only real obstacle is that the “indigenous peoples” in Michigan are trying to challenge the new tunnel approach that Enbridge is using to improve safety, so Embridge is already proceeding to direct the pipeline around reservation land. They started that in February. Almost immediately, environmental groups filed a state suit trying to halt that diversion construction.

So, at the end of the day. Business as usual for Enbridge and the pipeline.

  8. Maybe Fart Carnage can approve and restart Energy East. We’d be selling as much as we could pump to the EU if it were available today.

  9. I find it disgusting that Enbridge was allowed to operate aging pipeline infrastructure that endangered our national waters and environment. It should be shut down immediately and all of it replaced with new and safer lines. The same should go for any and all Canadian pipelines that might poison the ground water of the United States of America. They are probably using substandard materials from China anyway, so all of it should be open to inspection by Americans. It is a national security as well as environmental issue.

    See how this works?

  10. So?
PS. Fitzgerald was a good writer, but he had a serious flaw in his lack of editing (probably too much partying to knuckle down to his work). I like teaching ‘Gatsby’ because of its cultural importance (the story behind its popularity is an interesting one) and for its merits of which there are many as well as its flaws (also many); fun to teach it alongside Chesterton: “The Bible tells us to love our neighbors, and also to love our enemies; probably because generally they are the same people” (he had many others, but this one applies)

    1. I like him for his many colourful relatives. N. Bridge FitzGerald was the younger brother of the most affectionate of them all, M. Brace FitzGerald.
