I have a confession. I couldn’t quite recall ever having heard of Avi Lewis prior to this interview in which Ayaan Hirsi Ali reduced him to tender little bite-sized pieces.
But then I remembered this;

Not to be outdone, young Avi Lewis is married to far-left-wing feminist activist and Bush-hater Naomi Klein, daughter of an American draft dodger; and her brother is a director of the far left-wing Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives (the “alternative” they speak of being global socialism and an end to capitalism as we know it, which sounds very much like communism to me). Naomi Klein was also a Toronto Star writer. She sounds very much like a communist to me.
The boy’s a product of the ideological equivalent of the first-cousin marriage. I think he’ll do well there.

I wrote the CBC Ombudsman last year re Avi’s unprofessional interview with Ayaan Hirsi Ali, where he broke almost all of the CBC’s so-called “journalistic standards”.
The Ombudsman actually admitted to me that Avi had, indeed, not lived up to the standard set by the CBC’s own policies.
This admission was never made public by CBC; I asked what consequences there would be for Avi. That was the premature end of the Ombudsman’s correspondence with me. So, I thought there were no consequences. Could it be that there were?
My honest answer is “Dream on”. But, who knows?
C. Canadian, I’ve had similar experiences with the CBC. What an outfit. Like the Hydra’s heads, cut off Avi and there are a host of other lame-brain nitwits to take his place.

I have watched that video a hundred times. Ayaan Hirsi is such a beautiful and well spoken lady. She gets right to the point, and destroyed any credibility Avi might have possessed, with just a couple of softly spoken measured words. He will be forever known as a squashed insect under the heel of her graceful foot.
I’m surprised she didn’t react violently to his usual anti-western diatribe. She has great restraint. I am further reminded why I must avoid viewing anything produced by CBC. Time to go take some blood pressure meds.
