… the ugly assassination theme has quickly resurfaced, although this time it’s being expressed as concern over the candidate’s safety rather than as active wishing for his demise, which is at least an improvement, but this fixation on assassination is still interesting. In Obama’s case, the issue is being raised by a writer at The Huffington Post who – for reasons I cannot discern – seems to think Halliburton or Blackwater or someone connected somehow with the Bush White House will try to kill Obama. I can’t figure out the reasoning, but to people for whom every evil in the world begins and ends with George W. Bush, on whom all bad things must be blamed, I guess it makes some sort of sense.
I don’t know if some folks have yet figured out that George W. Bush is not running for president in ‘08, but eventually they’re going to find themselves deprived of their Hate Doll. Where they’ll put all that energy when he is off the world stage is anyone’s guess. It will have to go somewhere.

She wants to be President. Anyone picking her as a running mate could be in trouble. Bad and strange things have happened to many clinton enemies.
Kate, probably the Republican who wins the Presidency in November will be the heir to much of the BDS. That’ll be most likely McCain or maybe Romney. The rest of the hatred will be showered on the Republicans, social conservatives and Christians and Jews.
Interesting to watch the Canadian hard left imitate the American hard left. Harper instead of Bush, Conservatives instead of Republicans, but the same-old, same-old on religious folks, be they Christian or Jewish. (Muslims continuing to get a free pass from the left and MSM in both countries.)
The threat of assassination is only too real. There is every reason to believe the Islamists would regard Obama as a Muslim apostate, and therefore a legitimate target:

As somebody who’s voted in Chicago, I can say with certainty that that’s not the Chicago Democrat way. The Democrat machine doesn’t bother getting opponents thrown off the ballot; it just does whatever is necessary, legal or not, to make sure that the machine candidate wins.
Silly Liberals…MIC doesn’t assassinate candidates….they wait until they are elected, make massive tax increases to fund American socialism then use this as an excuse to make assassination attempts with a deranged “loner” as a patsy….although why anyone would buy the loner theory after a Dem Pres robs the electorate is anybody’s guess 😉
I recall Bubba’s first 8 months in DC …the White House was a virtual shooting gallery and crash landing site for disgruntled vets….nothing like a good assassination plot/attempt to push a Dem president’s numbers up. 😉

Last evening on CTV they were saying how “everyone” was crazy about Obama, even the “blogs” were crazy about Obama.
Of course by “blogs” they mean the liberal blogs, but sadly, only informed conservatives know that.
If one was to watch only tv news, one could be lead to believe there are only democrats candidates in this race,
as if the only two possible choices for US president were Obama and Hilary.

If that’s the case, then it sounds more than a bit like Halle Berry. At the Academy Awards, she was all in tears about being the first ‘black woman’ to receive an Oscar. Although, her mother (camera cuts to mother in front row) is obviously pasty white.
