6 Days In The Life

Of SDA.

(Clarification – those are the server stats for hourly traffic for the first 6 days of November. I’ve edited the title to reflect that. In October, SDA served over 2.2 million pages, – 90 gigs of content – to over 77,000 unique visitors.)

  1. Congrats again.
And to think I’ve been coming here for four years now, what has the growth rate been over that time, sort of like Evil Alberta’s economy? Certainly not like Saskatchewan’s population.

  2. Interesting. I would consider your hourly spread very consistent with just that little drop early in the morning.
Although your bandwidth usage would kill me! Not sure how you pay for that without sponsors.

  3. Wow! That’s awesome. It sure tells you people are tired of the old media and their control of information. Where do they turn for information SDA! Great work, cool diagram.
Unlike here in Kelowna, our local Castanet (online news and forums)if they don’t like your comment, they delete it. Westbank is in the middle of an election for incorporation,(they could have amalgamated with Kelowna,) with WFN land right in the middle. Lots of funny business going on out here, with NO independent forums. I admire how you allow everyone to have their opinion and rarely do you have to delete comments.

  4. …wow kate! congrats!
Mine site is pretty popular too! I get 2 visitors a day and the other person is me checking to see who’s been there…
    😉

  5. Of those thousands, I wonder how many are media types ?? —- lurking, to see what the people know.

  6. Not sure how you pay for that without sponsors.
A dedicated, managed server capable of handing that type of load is not all that expensive (think less than $100/mo). The monthly transfer for the setup I’m familiar with offers 1000GB/month and I’m guessing that most page loads for SDA are text-only (the comments pages).
