Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Obviously this little girl has no entrepreneurial spirit. She’s never played Monopoly and can’t recognize that “for sale” is an opportunity.
See, she even has her hand out waiting for the NDP to place it’s bribe there.
Is there not election laws against this??? Are there no laws stating that a business cannot put out material advertising for a party? Especially, if that business has ties to the party.
Does this not count as money spent on the NDP campaign? Or can anybody set up their own business and put out “informational” documents saying vote for X? In that case does that mean campaign spending caps are meaningless? I really would like to know an answer to this.
Why isn’t the little girl she wearing a hat?
Curses!!!! Those sly folks over at CUPE are on to us….they’ve feretted out the “hidden agenda” and the “Vast Right Wing Conspiracy”…
That piece of tripe looks like the indoctrination pages they gave out in elementary school in the 70’s….
Oh the whiners. If they were going to privatize health care I’d say good! Maybe we could finally get some decent equipment.
A vote for Lorne means a vote for alternative energy. Green hospitals!
Do you realize the equipment in our hospital still works off a hand crank generator!
I’m getting a little when I’m hooked to a respirator and I see the hamster in the wheel taking a break!
hmmmm or could it just be that CUPE is paranoid about having their lip-lock on the public teat cut off ??
No more wage increases for doing less, no more automatic union dues deducted from all those hapless workers in the closed shop government offices ?
This is sadly one more example of the view unions, socialists, Lorne & crew have of the Saskatchewan populace. Simpletons and of a grade three comprehension level.
Come now little one, we know what is best. Wouldn’t want that big bad boogeyman of reality to impede our race to the bottom now would you??
Competent parties, leaders and candidates will run on proposals, ideas, and plans for the future.
Union tactics such as this (and other infantile and scare tactics), along with Lorne and crews record (proven ineptitude and lies), so well documented at “Calvert Cares” website, shows who really has a plan for the Saskatchewan people and the province.
Change long overdue, not a given, but long overdue.
The Union is talking like a kindergarten teacher simply because they are talking to people that have never mentally progressed from there.
When did the Dippers hire Paris Hilton? Man, those thuggys just love skanks, Eh!
Do you mean that there’s CUPE members who can actually read? I thought the only things they knew was A: How to plug driveways, B: Cook wieners over an oil drum BBQ, and C: Brownose the NDP. My my-the world is full of surprises!!!!
Of course the politically-correct all-ethnically-identifiable-features removed cartooning style makes the figures look like wee children or retarded adults …
Bumpkins!
You mean … you mean …
An economy run by the state is exactly what’s perscribed in marxist theory?
And Saskatchewan’s Fabian Socialists disguised in their Hallowe’en costumes as clerics are no longer fooling the populace, as they have for the past 70 years?
And that their secular progressive ideas go against the traditional values that are making the Saskatchewan populace say ‘this is not right’?
And that their march to the brave new future is inspired by putting forth an icon of the past in their current campaign?
Boy, am I glad I live in Alberta, where it’s going to be fun watching the dismantling of the socialist construct over the next few years.
Hmmmm, ‘Alberta-style bills for car insurance’…
I just transferred over to ICBC and went from ~$800/year to ~$2,000/year for car insurance. One must be insured in BC one full year before going down an extra 3%, but I kinda long for that Alberta-style of bills.
Alberta is like a 51st state and the bullshit that goes with it.
ok4ua:
So which province, in your opinion, should we all hold ion high regard?
Saskatchewan is a great province our only drawback is we are next door to Alberta.
ok4ua: talk all you want, but just keep sending us your doctors. Our department is getting two more from you next month.
“Why is your union talking like a kindergarten teacher?”
Short Answer? Because dogmatic socialism always intellectualizes to the lowest common denominator….it is ultimately where socialism/unionism drags ALL public policy…to the lowest common denominator….socialist/unionist dogma celebrates mediocrity.
This is the mindset that has held Sask. back form being part of the western wealth engine which is now shifting economic and political power to the west.
Scratch that last comment; they’re starting in January.
“Saskatchewan is a great province our only drawback is we are next door to Alberta.

Yeah.We here in Alberta disagree with you though. Keep the socialists in power, and keep sending your skilled workers and free thinkers on over. The best advantage Alberta has is a socialist/commie province to the East. Go Lorne!!!
There’s the evidence: ok4u has been reading those childish CUPE ads…and he/she gets it!!
First thing I would do as premier is bust up CUPE, stupid union has become too big. Bust them up like they do down in the states with corporate monopolies.
“There’s the evidence: ok4u has been reading those childish CUPE ads…and he/she gets it!!

Nah.He/she/it figures that eventually they can marry it!
“Alberta is like a 51st state and the bullshit that goes with it.”
Hey, if Alberta ever gets ready, we’d be honored.
My Auto Insurance dropped when I moved from Saskatchewan to Alberta as well. Typical socialist propoganda BS!!!
Of course, Alberta is made up of people like me – we lived/grew up in Saskatchewan until the lack of opportunities drove us somewhere welcoming of workers (especially the non-union types).
By slagging Alberta, leftists like ok4ua in Saskatchewan are making fun of their family members who left simply to better themselves and their families.
By the way, my auto insurance is pretty much exactly here what it was in Saskatchewan.
There is nothing wrong with the government selling crown corporations. Government is not there to run business, they know nothing about that and have no accountability to no one.
The union leadership are a genuine fascisoid elements, run mostly by gangsters that mastered the demagogue lingo. Most of the union members are just going along with the gangsters; it is easier and safer than to make waves.
Hey, while it may seem off topic, I just noticed that a Sarah Connor is a member of the Facebook group “Elaborate schemes about burning down Walmart is the hottest pillow talk”.
Sarah Connor is the NDP candidate in the riding of Kindersley.
Shows the level of maturity/intellect of those running for the provincial NDP.

HEY!!!!! UNION PEOPLE!!!! YEAH, I MEAN YOU!!!!!
Three questions:
1) Have you checked to see how much of your wages go to paying union dues?
2) Have you seen the kind of shit that money’s being wasted on?
3)Have you thought about what you could be doing with that money yourself?
I thought so. Have a nice day.
ok4ua:
Objectively speaking:
AB has:
Lower taxes
better healthcare
better education
better roads
higher incomes
higher house prices (a sign of prosperity)
And subjectively hundreds of thousands of SK people have voted with their feet and moved to AB over the years and if the polls are correct a large majority of current SK residents want to elect a government that is more AB-like.
SO, unless you could propose soon objective counters to the above I – and I suspect most of those reading this – will view your comments as coming someone who is a left-wing reactionary filled with self-loathing and who wants to see the rest of Canada and specifically AB brought down to the same level of stalinst misery as that experienced by the denizens of SK – land of frustrated opportunity for most of the last 80 years… something the cartoon above almost perfectly illustrates – pardon the pun.
Any province would be far better off as a State, particularly those in the west.
OK4UA know sh*t about life in the states, except what the natural governing party, the MSM and the warmed over socialists in Sask., have jammed down his throat the past century.
In 1994 I moved from Ottawa to the Vancouver area. I brought with me the same two vehicles that I had operated in Ontario(insured by private insurance companies). For EXACTLY the same coverage, my premiums TRIPLED with ICBC (that state-owned monopoly that the BC NDP brought in to protect us poor consumers from the rapacious, capitalistic, multi-national insurance companies). Tripled!
Well…at least my property taxes on equivalent homes declined from $5800/yr in Ontario to $2400/yr in BC…so I considered it a wash….
GDW…I would prefer NOT being in a union, and yes I see how much of my wages go to foolishness via ‘union dues’
No choice.
That’s right, the NDP are protectors of the minimum wage earners of Canada! While they pay themselves 6 figure incomes and vote themselves raises, they are championing the cause of the minimum wage earners by guaranteeing that people earning minimum wage will continue to earn minimum wage.
Better the 51st State than the 16th SSR, tovarysh.
I think the problem is that no one ever told ok4u and the rest of Lorne’s Loonies that Tommy Douglas is dead and that the Depression ended for the rest of the world 70 years ago.
Since when is auto insurance a utility?
Since when is auto ins a utility?
Ok4ua is the reason the union talks like a kindergarten teacher. He’s their audience.
Apologies to the good Mr. Rattf*c, he said it first.
Sask dwellers should hope to God those hospitals go private.
ok4u – “Little swarthy people of rich Alberta.”
“Swarthy” means “Nixon’s five o’clock shadow”, “dangerously mischievious”, and in other contexts -> Eastern Europeans, my Polish brother.
From an independent-minded Ukrainian to a Polish socialist minority: “Brats’vo i Yednist’vo – Brotherhood and Unity”.
Better the 51st State than the 16th SSR, tovarysh.
Because keeping them uninformed and reliant is part of the process…
anoninon…
Having got my rhetorical cheap shot in a couple of hours ago, I should maybe try to be a little more reasonable now and say that I am not anti-union per se, but anti-union establishment, and especially of those union hierarchies like the one that produced the pamphlet uploaded here with its insulting, patronizing childishness. A lot of voting studies have shown that there is a huge difference between who union bosses promote with “their” workers money and who unionists vote for themselves. Essentially, I think unions need to be remade from a democratic movement within their own ranks, one that insists that the people who are being represented run the show and control the chequebook.
Sask. public health care system, so revered by CUPE, has the longest waiting times in all of Canada. Scarry!!!!
Did you hear about the private clinic that opened in Regina under the NDP watch???
Do you mean that there’s CUPE members who can actually read? I thought the only things they knew was A: How to plug driveways, B: Cook wieners over an oil drum BBQ, and C: Brownose the NDP. My my-the world is full of surprises!!!!

It looks unlikelty that the good people of Saskatchewan have a major brain fart on Wednesday and keep the status quo. But if they do, hopefully benevolent Albertans will continue to send emptied oil drums so that Saskatchewan CUPE members can continue to have hot meals.
All goods and services should be delivered by the private sector. The government’s only job is to keep them honest and competitive (if that is even possible considering how dishonest and noncompetitive governments tend to be).
If we operated that way, we would have an efficient society that works far more smoothly. We would have whatever we need and not have things we don’t need.
We would also only have to pay about 10% in taxation and we would have lots of extra cash to pay for whatever fees and costs are required for THE THINGS WE NEED AND WANT.
And that girl wants to wear a hat, but she is waiting for the government to get her one.
Did you know that nothing offends a member of the comedy troupe Three Dead Trolls more than having you tell them you consider their “British Saskatchalbertatoba” an actual anthem for an independent West…
