Judy Sgro, You Have A Lovely Daughter

I was given a heads up this weekend about allegations regarding Judy Sgro’s daughter, and campaign co-chair. A few quotes taken from over 25 pages of complaints and discussion which date from the beginning of the year to the present;

Deanna Natale, the former lawyer at Total Credit Recovery recently had a difference of opinion (involving injuries and lawsuits) with her old alma mater where she enjoyed many felicitous years of gouging the public through litigation and unscrupulous mortgage brokerage practices. She is now plying her trade up the road at Global Credit and Collections located in the Motorola Building at 8133 Warden Ave., Suite 400, Markham, Ont.,Tel. 905-479-2222 or 1-800-463-4929. Natale’s office is just down the hall in suite 405 at 905 413-8748. Basically, it’s just a fancy boiler room operation with lots of security and carded entry. They haven’t made too many friends. I wonder why.
You didn’t mention whether Global had bought up your account or were just earning a commission on it from someone else. Sometimes collection agencies will buy up large amounts of old and SOL (stats barred) paper for almost nothing on the dollar, send out bluff notices and play the numbers. Surprising, the money that’s lined up to buy the stuff.
Last week, I had a guy from New Brunswick send me several emails concerning exactly the same phoney statement of claim from her. Maybe she’s sending them out en masse and just working the numbers.
Natale sent him one of those bogus Form 7A’s (Statement of Claim in Ontario Small Claims Court) threatening legal action in her jurisdiction of Richmond Hill. (I thought it should have been Newmarket, Ont.) In any event, his line of credit was just over the 6 year mark since the date of last activity on the account – which is the limitation period in NB). Natale wanted $6,000 OR ELSE! It was even more confusing since the address of the bank where the original line of credit loan was taken out and the borrower’s address were in the same New Bunswick town. That would mean that any lawsuit would have to be filed there, not in Ontario, irrespective of whether or not the debt had been bought up by Global. These bogus Form 7A’s always have a blank red seal in the upper left hand corner and the word “Draft” in the top middle. In this case, I told the guy that Global was SOL because the debt was SOL.
It seems you also are just one more target of Natale’s huffing and puffing. Since Natale is using bluffs and threatening lawsuits when, as a lawyer, she knows full well what the provincial laws of jurisdiction and limitation are, then people should send in a formal complaint to the Law Society of Upper Canada keeping copies of all her correspondence with her as submission evidence of professional misconduct.

A typical complaint;

Last Friday I received a letter and suspicious looking forms from Natale Law Offices. I too have never lived in the GTA. I do not owe money to the institution she says she’s is collecting for. The forms she sent look phony. Im happy she doesn’t have my SIN… Funny how she threatens to proceed with this fraudulent claim if she hasn’t heard from me within 10 days of the date of her letter. Yet I received the letter 14 days after the date of the letter. I have already reported this to the financial institute that she says I had owed money to. I will also report this to the RCMP tomorrow and to whoever else will listen!
I have since checked my credit rating with Equifax; it’s clean as a whistle.

And another;

From BC: I decided to do a google search on Deanna Natale after we too received a letter (this is the 3rd one) from Natale’s law office last week, claiming we owe money to Hilco for an account purchased from Wells Fargo that goes back to 2000. I checked our Equifax report and it has nothing on it, and I’ve never heard of either one of them. I got the whole package from her, the phony looking form 7a with the phony looking red seal.and the gmail?? come on!! What respectable business person uses that! SCAMMER is the first thing that came to my mind, so I just chucked them in the garbage. I’m going to take the advice of Raymond and make a paper airplane. . I wonder how many people actually pay, thinking they do owe it.

  1. As stated by Jim Lahey, “the shit apple does not fall very far from the shit tree”.

  2. OK Kate, here is some info using freely available tools…..
According to fingerprints left on the Net, aiwlibraryfurniture.com in 2003 and 2004 belonged to:
Artistry In Wood of Syracuse, Inc.
    6804 Manilus Center Road
    East Syracuse, NY 13057
    Toll Free: 877.438.9003
    Phone: 315.431.4022
    Fax: 315.431.0887
I thought they likely let their registration expire and someone snapped the name up from them – as has happened to many a person…..
…but the current owner of that domain is:
    Organisation Name: Artistry In Wood
    Contact Name: Gregory McCartney
Address Line 1: 6804 Manilus Ctr. Road
    Address Line 2:
    City / Town: East Syracuse
    State / Province:
    Zip / Postcode: 13057
    Country: US
    Telephone: +1 (315) 4314022
    Fax:
    Email: aiw1000@aol.com
…and they have held the title to it since Oct 08, 2003.
The IP of the machine that hosts the website is 65.36.167.35 and is registered to LNH Inc. who has a Delaware address, and the reverse IP points to mail.natalelawoffices.com in Newark, Delaware.
Further compounding problems is that natalelawoffices.com is registered with GODaddy.com using a proxy meaning we can’t find out who they are unless they’ve committed a crime. The website is on the same machine as aiwlibraryfurniture.com though.
Seeing as how we have registration of the first domain to Gregory McCartney would anyone want to contact him? He may not even know that his domain is being used for a scam. It could be hijacked.
Also a good idea for anyone who has received a letter to contact GoDaddy.com – they can pull their registration and end this mess for now.

  3. I should have mentioned, both look to be hosted by:
    HostMySite.com
Contact them. What is happening is surely a violation of their Terms of Service.

  4. Thanks for posting this Kate.
One of the more insideous aspects of life in Onterrible or Quebec is their debt claims enforcement and process…essentially there are many privateers out there buying up so called debt claims from so called debtors ( most with expired enforcement limits and many are pure mistakes) and basically, defrauding people into thinking they actually owe these debts…there has been no clamp on it and when we see the quasi-fraudulent recovery industry shysters always hooked into either provincial or federal government networks we can understand why this shake down industry exists…maybe even protected.
Alberta and other provinces who have the statute of frauds employed in their claims laws, disallow 90% of these back dated claims as exceeding reasonable limitations on collection.
I’m not surprised to see degenerate Liberal party sycophants deeply involved in this unprincipled quasi-legal racket. The business certainly fits their ethical profile.

  5. “Artistry In Wood of Syracuse, Inc.”
    Owner: Anthony J. Soprano
    Just an educated guess.

  6. Good comment Kathie, know exactly how that came to mind!
Agree , WLMR, it does fit the ethical profile of the Liberals.
It’s a tough task to put down a corrupt political party with one fell swoop, one election doesn’t get under all the rocks after over a decade of connivances. So many mazes to get through.
Better be careful here Kate, the mother or the “Lovely Daughter” might sue.

  7. When I read the headline of this posting I fully expected to read a story about Judy Sgro’s daughter becoming a stripper….but that would have been much too honourable a profession for her to be truly comfortable in doing.

  8. I wonder if she was the lady from Global that phoned me and made very serious threats against me. She hung up when I asked, Does your mother know what you do for a living?

  9. *
this sounds like some fairly serious scammery…
before this is all over, judy may just end up
wishing her daughter was “on the pole”.

  10. From disgraced and booted liberal’s (who still owe Canaada the millions they admitted stealing) daughter’s site.
    “Background:
Deanna L. Natale was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1994. During her years of practice she has specialized in Creditor Law and Creditor Litigation.
Deanna L. Natale has extensive history and experience in creditor’s rights and collections for Government”
    Geez I wonder which “government”???

  11. I got one of those phoney scam letters from here. I immediately filed a complaint with the Consumer Protection Board here in AB. About 2 months later I got a nice letter from the Upper Canada Law Society saying they are already doing an investigation. I was told that what she is doing is totally illegal in AB AND Ontario and the Fair Labour/Consumer Laws. Funny. Haven’t heard from her since. BTW,my “debt” was for a student loan, from a bank I’ve never used in a province I’ve never lived in! Yeah,it’s a typical Librano $cam.

  12. Liberals.
Scamming innocent Canadians out of their money.
    Again.
We did not make this up.
    Choose your Canada.

  13. “Natale Law Offices has a website hosted under the unusual url of aiwlibraryfurniture.com. Bizarre.”

The rest of your post I agree with and the woman seems like a slimy, and bad, lawyer.
Yet the above is just an example of sloppy or ignorant web design. They should have used an .htaccess 301 Redirect… instead, the site isn’t redirecting and I guess she had some old URL she used that she thought might as well be forwarded to her business site.
As you’ll see, she also hosts the same identical site at natalelawoffices.com.

  14. I was hoping someone would catch this from my earlier post….but Christoph was getting on track.
The same website hosted in two places. Isn’t it possible that the scam site just copied Natale’s?
I mean, they are scammers! No need to be true about who they really are. Say you are a collections lawyer and send out some letters.
You know all those banks that send you emails saying you need to change your password and send you to a fake site that looks like the real one? I believe that’s called Phishing.
I think the scam site is just a scam of a real site. Don’t quote me.

  15. We should send her after the $60 or so millions the Lieberal party is ALLEGED to owe the people of Canada.
30 % commission on THAT would buy her a lot of brass poles….

  16. “I think the scam site is just a scam of a real site.”

They’re identical sites. It’s just a different domain name. Again, probably because she had an old domain name and decided to keep it active rather than lose whatever traffic it had.

  17. I have one question for the librano defending leftard. Where is my pizza and stripper?

  18. I wonder if this is the same Deanna Natale who served on the parents’ council at my daughters’ school in Thornhill? She certainly was in a hurry to spend every dollar we collected, without any seeming thought as to whether the money was spent wisely.

  19. Cristoph, the furniture website isn’t registered to her, isn’t registered in Canada even, and in 2003 and 2004 it was a real website selling library furniture and I suggested maybe it had been hijacked. Check out archive.org for the original website. That domain never changed owners and isn’t in the possession of the people who own natalelawoffices.com. So no, that wouldn’t be an old domain of hers – or the legal registrant would belong to her I would think. However, why they are hosted on the same machine? That seems more than suspicious – but hijacked domains do go like that. Someone needs to contact the registrant of that domain – Kate?

  20. Hey Kate,
    Thanks for the mention…
I was truly alarmed at how many people complained to me by phone , on my site, by email etc regarding Deanna Natale… It was alarming.
I spoke to her on the phone and she was pretty non-chalant about it.
Hopefully none of your readers had a problem with her.
