  1. Let’s be fair now, Al pays somebody a bunch of money for credits(?) to keep him from feeling guilty, that makes it OK…doesn’t it??

  2. This video is up at YouTube.
Great Climate Swindle, also on YT, is approaching a quarter of a million airings already.
Anyone seen these ‘truthful documentaries’ on our beloved media yet ??
Has Gore accepted Bjorn Lomborg’s challenge to a debate ?? Still ducking ??

  3. 18 Doughty Street: Politics for Adults.
Now, if we only had more adults in politics. Are you listening, Al Gore?

  4. I can’t wait any longer for global warming to subside. I am in great need of a great humongous earth shattering fart. The pain is unbearable!

  5. c’mon you guys the man has paid his dues in carbon credits, him and his cohort suzuki belch and fart worldwide and conscience free. you can bet those boys boys’ times are comin’ and I say hallelujah to that.

  6. meanwhile back home, all the stupidos who want to devastate our economy and throw us back to the hunting & gathering age, are lining up to commit political suicide.
Clean Air Act could trigger election
    DENNIS BUECKERT
    Canadian Press
OTTAWA — The government’s centrepiece environmental legislation, the Clean Air Act, is in deep trouble and there’s speculation it could become the trigger for an election.
This week all three opposition parties proposed amendments to the bill — amendments that would enshrine the emissions-cutting targets of the Kyoto Protocol, which the Conservatives have called unachievable.
After the amendments were tabled, the government canceled a Tuesday meeting of the committee studying the bill.
Environmentalists were delighted at the unusual consensus among the New Democrats, Bloc Québécois and Liberals, whose amendments coincide on key points such as firm limits — known as hard caps — for greenhouse gas emissions in line with the Kyoto targets.

  7. Hoax asks: “Anyone seen these ‘truthful documentaries’ on our beloved media yet ??”
CBC (news channel) had on YET ANOTHER climate fear mongering piece this evening. Increasingly I do not watch CBC, but occasionally just switch it on to see if anything interesting is on, and I would swear that about 80% of the time it’s “global warming this” and “climate change that” — getting very tedious. If I didn’t know better (:-), I would think they are trying to indoctrinate Canadians.

  8. you know, I try. I try to see why Dion et all want to sabatoge our economy for the environment.
Yes we in Canada use more energy per capita than many other nations but we live in a COLD climate.
I use a lot more energy keeping my house warm and lighted in the dark cold winter than I do in the summer. I will not sacrifice that.
Yes I have a four wheel drive vehicle, but ya know, that snow we get in the winter kinda hinders movement in a smart car. I will keep the small SUV.
So, if Canada would eliminate 99% of its GHG’s, would that be a ripple in the world output?
If it does, then the impending doom is not that gonna happen.
If it does not, then why do Dion et all want to kill our economy and make me give up my:
    4X4
    Boat
    snowmobile
    Quad(s)
    Cabin at the Lake
22 degree warmth in the winter
    reading lights
I could go on….you get my point. Some I think want to make it either too expensive or against the law to do “wastful” activities.
Just sit back and do nothing. Or pay Zimbabwe a billion dollars.
My rant for the day, Thank you Kate.

  9. This global warming stuff has a real flavor-of-the-month feel to it and it’s not much of a prediction to guess that in a year or so all the chatter will be directed at some other hysteria-laden subject, with much of the same cast gabbling anxiously about it. I can’t wait.
    re: the CBC
I’d actually like to believe they’ve the wit to mount an indoctrination campaign, but I suspect the boring truth is they’re just following their media research guy’s advice and cashing in on a current big enthusiasm. Back in the eighties they had a show called Witness which broadcast documentaries about starving babies in a different African country week after week. They aren’t a serious news organization, they have little or no audience, and they’re only sustained by government handouts. Ignore them, except when you want a good laugh (check out Rempelia Prime today, for example).

  10. So in some twisted right wing mindset, the fact that Al Gore leaves way too many lights on in his mansion is supposed to be proof that we don’t have some very serious problems with pollution, smog, acid rain, raised CO2 levels ….???
These arguments you keep advancing are so lame and so bizarre, are you guys really as dumb as you seem on issues of industrial and domestic pollution???

  11. I have one question. If you light up your farts,(come on, we’ve all done it) does that add to the problem or contribute to the solution of global warming? Just wondering. You know, just want to help where I can.

  12. “the fact that Al Gore leaves way too many lights on in his mansion is supposed to be proof that we don’t have some very serious problems with pollution, smog, acid rain, raised CO2 levels”
It proves he does not believe his own message.

  13. Well left dog I just bought one of those little toasters on wheels caled smart cars, try as I might I just couldn’t fit a 1400 pound round bale on the roof, squashed the damn car, can’t feed my cows, but I have done my part for global warming, have I not. You morons just amaze me with your stupidity, stop wasting energy people, well your food is grown somewhere dork and we just don’t have the option of driving toasters out to feed the cattle. If fools like Dion and his green pathetic ilk have their way you food costs will rival your mortgage payments clown. One other thing, every one of us ranchers and farmers have countless blades of grass and countless trees, and don’t think we will sit on the fence and not demand a payment for such to stop your phoney climate change when the time comes. Oh yes I drink pure spring water every day, and see no change in the environment because of man, wake up measure the earth, it’s big, much bigger than any stupid lieberal can comprehend, we can’t change it, get over it!

  14. Al Gore Continues to Demand Special Treatment
    March 20, 2007
Posted By Marc Morano – 8:08 PM ET – Marc_Morano@EPW.Senate.Gov
” ..From behind the scenes on Capitol Hill: Former Vice President Al Gore, despite being given major preferential treatment, has violated the Senate Environment & Public Works Committee’s (EPW) hearing rules.
Gore first demanded to be granted an unprecedented 30 minute opening statement to the Senate EPW Committee for Wednesday’s (March 21) global warming hearing scheduled for 2:30 pm ET.
(See “FULL COMMITTEE: Vice President Al Gore’s Perspective on Global Warming” )
The GOP minority on the EPW committee agreed to the 30 minute opening statement.
But then Gore demanded a waiver of the EPW committee’s 48 hour rule that requires all witnesses before EPW to submit their testimony in advance. The GOP minority on the EPW committee then agreed to waive the 48 hour rule in favor of allowing Gore to submit his testimony 24 hours before the hearing.
But in a breaking news development on Capitol Hill — the former Vice President has violated the new 24 hour deadline extension by failing to submit his testimony – even with the new time extension granted to Gore.
As of 8pm ET Tuesday evening, the testimony still has not been received by EPW, a clear violation of committee rules.
The word on Capitol Hill says not to expect Gore’s testimony to the Senate EPW committee until Wednesday (March 21) — the day of the hearing.
It appears that Gore does not believe the same rules apply to him that apply to every other Senate EPW witness.
The question looms on Capitol Hill: Is Gore delaying the submission of his testimony until the very last moment because he fears it will give members of the EPW committee time to scrutinize it for accuracy?”
    Very, VERY dangerous man.

  15. Panel of Broadcast Meteorologists Reject Man-Made Global Warming Fears – Claim 95% of Weathermen Skeptical
From Crain’s Cleveland publication on February 13, 2007:
” ..The Ohio TV meteorologists, Dan Webster, Dick Goddard, Mark Johnson, Mark Nolan and John Loufman, mocked the UN’s global warming alarmism. “You tell me you’re going to predict climate change based on 100 years of data for a rock that’s 6 billion years old?” Johnson said. “I’m not sure which is more arrogant — to say we caused (global warming) or that we can fix it,” Nolan said. “Mr. Webster observed that in his dealings with meteorologists nationwide, ‘about 95%’ share his skepticism about global warming,” the paper reported. Johnson dismissed the new UN IPCC summary, “Consensus does not mean fact. … Don’t drink the Kool-Aid.””
Isn’t it amazing how the TV Weatherman, of all people, has become a focal point for the world’s biggest scam.
Heidi Cullen, The Weather Channel’s “boss” recently called for all skeptical weathermen/women to be banned from their jobs.
She issued a “sorta appology” lately, on her website. I siffted through some of her commenters and they are mostly negative to Cullen, if not outright hostile to her.

Mo Strong, what have you done ??

  16. Well I am now beginning to feel very guilty…I confess, my name is Bruce, and I am a planet destroyer. Little did I know that when I bought my 30′ Bayliner power boat, that I would personally be responsible for killing future generations. I mean the fact that my wife and I could actually visit secluded coves and islands, commune with nature etc., never even registered with me that we were enemies of Mother Nature.
I recently filled the boat up with gas…cost me $420…that stung a little…
Oh wait…according to algore’s company, I can become carbon-neutral for that last fill-up by buying a mere $8.50 in carbon credits…
I feel so much better now…

  17. Ahem, Bruce, I beg to differ. I am the climate destroyer.
Now if you’ll all just send me the 4.5 billion in carbon credits Dion wants us to pay, I promise to stop. Honest!!

  18. I think that almost all media – including this blog – nowadays has to make a buck at the end of the day.
Everything comes down to who’s making the buck.
Liberal media and Conservative media know – or try to know – their audiences – and they cater to these audiences – that’s how they make a buck.
It used to be that Liberal types did not read Conservative stuff – and vice versa.
That’s changing. There is much more access to alternative sources of news than ever before – and people can publish and make money in many new ways than ever before.
I believe that Global Warming or Climate Change or whatever will crash and burn as people spend more time looking at it from an economic point of view and from a real scientific point of view.
It won’t be a pretty site.

  20. 21. If someone wants to slap gore with a glove make sure they put a brick in it and WHOP

  22. The real question is not whether or not there is climate change. The question is, if you think GW is caused by human activity, what are you prepared to give up. Funny how that always stops them dead in their tracks. What we have here is a bunch of Global Whiners.
