Y2Kyoto: Maurice And The Media

Finally. Maurice Strong is plopped front and center in the Kyoto debate, and in a Canadian newspaper. That said, there’s the sense of an editorial black pen at work;

The Liberals’ commitment to Kyoto is economic suicide, and I believe that the whole exercise was cynical and a favour to Liberal insider Maurice Strong.
Now the Liberals are leading a charge to force the Tories to live up to commitments that the Liberals never did in four years. That’s because they realized the commitments were not realistic.
But Kyoto wasn’t renegotiated because Mr. Strong is a buddy of former Prime Ministers Jean Chretien and Paul Martin. When he was involved in United Nations operations, he organized the UN’s Earth Summit to deal with pollution. He asked for, and got, Canada’s unconditional support for Kyoto.

Bless Diane Francis and whatever God granted her the ovaries lacking in the rest of Canadian media. Even our local radio talk hosts cut callers off when they try to bring his name into the debate, citing “conspiracy theories”.
They must not read the Wall Street Journal.

  1. I am naturally skeptical of grand conspiracy theories, yet I have also become skeptical of the morals of many more of my fellow species that I once was. With that proviso, and the understanding that you, dear readers, will decide for yourself, I offer the following video, found by searching YouTube for “Maurice Strong”, and linking to the only relevant match, without further comment:
    youtube.com/watch?v=5TiIwivBIvI

  2. This thread is way better than 24 on TV.
I’d be scared except that I’ve thought for some time that this stuff “might” be going on with Mo and the Gang of ? at Power Corp. Now I’m actually less scared because enough people here are aware of it to stop it. Plus we have Harper in and the Gang of Librano$ out .. we must keep it that way.
Meanwhile Kate, maybe you should call Keifer’s mom Shirley Douglas, who’s even more left than Tommy, and see if she would like to see this thread acted out in the next 24 series . could you please YouTube the call ..
Saturday Night Live …great fun being a conservative these days .. it wasn’t always fun … enjoy.

  3. Vitruvious, I watched your link. It has some interesting observations, particularly since it’s 15 (?) years old. Precisely because it is ancient, the guy should be more applauded for his diligence back then, than accused of being a bit over the top.
The biggest criticism I have of it is his distrust of his own government. Sure there are problems in the US but there are enough checks and balances to catch them before they get too far out of hand. Agreed, there’s enough greedy people in the world like Mo to do a lot of damage, however, they’ll never get to set up a world order .. for the simple reason that now we’re better able to YouTube them and expose them than ever before. Dissemination of Information is the key to fighting this stuff and for that the guy on the link deserves some credit for being ahead of his time.
The link is interesting, I’d call it:
The Inconvenient Truth – the Precursor.

  4. oh….! I’d be so excellent if Tongsun Park would sing for the prosecution AND implicate Maurice Strong.
Is it almost too much to hope for?
and clearly with the vote being pushed by the Liberal back bencher for Kyoto compliance, it may be that PMSH is allowing an election to be “forced”. If so, bring it on… a healthy dose of truth in this Kyoto theft will make for an interesting campaign.
thank you to Kate for these 2 articles. I love it when Maurice is in the news.
It’s interesting that Diane Francis itemizes this list of how Canada can clean up its act, and places the retrofitting or closing of all coal fired plants as the number 1 priority. Wasn’t this in Mr. McGinty’s list of what he will do as premier of Ontario? hmmm, guess it isn’t so important now that Ontario is held at the provincial level by Liberals.

  5. and now we get chirac calling for kyoto police. its strange how so many politicians want to either buy credits or fine countries and industries that don’t comply instead of spend money on technology to clean up these greenhouse gas emissions.

  6. omag I can only hope that I see the day that this lizard faced stinking communist maurice is sent to prison for the rest of his natural born days. This scumbag of a parisite has cost everyone from ontario hydro right down to the welfare bums on the street untold billions of losses. His M.O. is live off those that work, and steal to carry out his socialist/ communist bent, good post. Global warming, what a f…ing hoax!

  7. Jean Chretien’s daughter is married to PowerCorp’s Demaris; Bob Rae’s brother works for PowerCorpo and they are Maurice Strong’s nephews, Maurice Strong “gifted” Paul Martin CSL steamship lines so he would have an insider doing the international hauling (BTW – CSL sole source shipping contract for the Canadian Wheat Board); Brian Mulroney works for PowerCorp; I believe he is on the board, Joe Clark and Kim Campbell were not “owned” by them so they were destroyed; Trudeau was one of the early communists which created this cabal, Dion is one of three backed by this cabal- Rae, Dion and Ignatief, and Belinda through Magnus which is part of the cabal – any one of them would have done fine; the rest would be destroyed; Stephen harper is the anti-cabal – he is not owned by them although there are many at the highest ranks of corporations, government, etc. who are even under his leadership. Stephen Harper will be destroyed. He is an inconvenient truth in their long range plans.

  8. In the waning days of the Paul Martin days as pm we saw ever more desparate attempts to save the scumbags from no more money theft. His attempts to sway the voters were nothing short of pathetic. The reason being, he was #2, #1 cretin did what he was told by Mo, sign Kyoto and stand back, but #2 was an abysmal failure. #2 failed and it set the whole money theft back years, now the lieberals have to do everything in their power to regain power, that is POWER, at any cost,{here’s no money to steal where they are right now} they thought it would be easy. The electorate are waking up to #3 Stepon. For the sake of our grandchildren, as Susuki says, WAKE UP CANADA! Dr. Evil has his plan, it is called Kyoto.

  9. ‘Conspiracy Theories’ as fabrications by deluded people are used as an excuse by insiders to avoid or deter discussion of what is really going on. Then you have the idiots, psychos and dreamers that actually want to believe that conspiracy theorist’s are crazier then they are. NOT LIKELY! Remember that a conspiracy is just two people or more getting together in mutal want or need and using their power against another to get what they want without another’s knowledge. Now tell me that THAT IS NOT LIFE?

  10. I first became aware of Mr. Strong’s existence several year ago when, as Head Honcho of Ontario Hydro, he wanted to commit a portion of Its revenues to purchase several thousand acres of the Brazilian Rainforest to help reduce/increase acid rain/carbon emissions/co2 stuff/save the three-peckered newt/or whatever.
Many Ontarians (other than Trotskyite Torontonians) immediately said-WTF????
After that revelation, I began having serious doubts about his supposed altruistic nature. Gee, and to think I may have been right all along!

  11. Garth,
I think Branson should be charged for some criminal offense. He is promoting the suffocation of all plant life on teh planet.

  12. Nomdenet: “The biggest criticism I have of it is his distrust of his own government”
    >>It’s not so much Moe distrusts government…as a megalomaniac in an unelected bureaucratic elite, he distrusts any government he does not have policy control over.
Trudeau offered him a chance to make his wacky plans for global society a partial reality through the democratic system. PET offered his Pwercor pal Moe a liberal MP candidacy in a safe liberal riding…however Chairman Moe showed he also has distain for the democratic process as he quit mid campaign as a candidate calling the election process “degrading” and too “parochial”.
Megalomania despises the accountability and debate of democracy…despotic systems are best for installing the new global bureucracy.
Rob C: “I belive that Mulrony was part of Power Corp at one time .True or False?”
    >>yes and no..Mulroney was never a Powercor director like Martin, Rae, Strong and Chretien but he was a Family insider like PET and Goldenberg… his law firm (Ogalvie assc.)was retained by Powercor to broker deals with the Quebec government and the federal government and Muldoom worked some of these files…after he left the firm he did private work for the Desmarais family as the Pres. of IOC and association in Barrik gold… that association (I believe) Lead to him winning the PC leadership and his first federal mandate…
Mulroney had close enough ties to Desmarais and his interests to appoint him to the Privey council…one of the very few unelected members.
Mulroney now sits on the boards of a number of corporations …some of them Powercor-owned or controlled…but then, Powercor has so many ex political heavyweights tenured on their corporate director/associate roster this does not rais eyebrows any more…..like the ex fed reserve chairman Paul Volcker who was picked to investigate Moe Strong/Powercor and the UN oil for food scam..oddly, Volcker was retained at the time as an international director on a Powercor company…..no conflic of interest there…just coincidence 😉
    Re: “Conspiracy”
Why is this word so despised by rational people? If you realize that the greatest social and political events and upheavals in western culture were the result of “conspiracy” then you come to realize that “conspiracy” is a common tool for acheiving financial and political agendas in our culture.
There is little doubt that Powercor-LPC-UN have run a open “conspiracy” to gain positions of influence and make that work to the financial advantage of a patronage cabal…you have to be a “nut” to be in denial of it. The fact that the domestic MSM keep this unseemly concentration and collusion of political and corporate influence below public radar is pretty obvious…because the MSM is corporate and has a vested interest in the status quo staying as it is….Powercor is part of the political status quo in Canada.
We saw this when the US and European MSM was running with the improper connections between Paul Desmarais-Chretien-Martin-Strong and Powercor investment and Canadian foreign policy that was uncovered as the result of the oil for food scam.
“Conspiracy” is the norm not the exception in global and domestic power politics.
BTW I just read that Paul Desmarais was appointed president of the Canada-China Business Council..wanna bet extending trad deals with the Chi-Coms will be a major LPC policy plank?
I also see Desmarais is a leading director on the board of the Chase Manhattan Bank…which connects Powercor into the Rockefeller/CFR sphere of political influence…who’s willing to bet the CFR will soften its position on China investment and business relations in policy briefs to Washington?? Who wants to bet Powercor will reciprocate by selling the CFR’s agenda of North American Union through the LPC?
Naaaawww it’s not a conspiracy…it’s just big business talking to big government…that’s all 😉

  13. WLM, “It’s not so much Moe distrusts government…as a megalomaniac in an unelected bureaucratic elite, he distrusts any government he does not have policy control over.”
Sorry, I didn’t mean Mo; I meant the host- guy in the YouTube that Vit put up.
You’re right on re: Mo. He’s Goldfinger, he’s a megalomaniac. The whole POWER corporate organization is getting exposed for what it is and the Librano$ are right in the middle of it. Also look at the Desmarais names with Bob Rae and so on with your China Business Council link .. .it’s a phenomenal cabal that you’d expect to see in a turd world country. The 2-way patronage that was going on is massive.
I think that John Manley, Frank Mckenna and Tobin and the otherwise natural heirs to the leadership knew this was going to be exposed and avoided the implosion of the LPC.

  14. Mr. Redux, thank you for this term:
    Dijonettes
Now we can say Stephane Dijon doesn’t cut the mustard 🙂

  15. Does anyone recall from their history classes the “Familly Compact”?
Desmarais and PowerCorp is the modern day version. This liberal elite won’t give up their grip on this country willingly. This is the battle Conservatives face.

  16. w.l. mackenzie. you are one of the most well informed people I have ever had the pleasure to read the postings of, very well written by a deep thinker, if only people had to write a test in this country before they had the privilege to vote, the thinkers would elect the right people every time. There would never had been a Turdeau to run this country so deeply in debt.

  17. Wimpy said: “Does anyone recall from their history classes the “Familly Compact”? ”
Yes this was the prevailent cartel of insider-appointed political-business grafters that used their political influence as the government of the upper canada colony to run a nepotistic 2-way patronage ring…not quite a developed kleptocracy but close. They userped the democratic will of the colonists and ran their own profiteering agends.
WL Mackenzie ( elected rep and mayor of Toronto) led a civil revolt agaist this corruption and his actions propelled England to institute true representative democracy in the colonies.
We are certainly in the same situation federally these days and perhaps Mr Harper has saved us all a chore of lighting torches and going to parliament hill to rid ourselves of powercor-LPC influence brokering and insider profiteering.

  18. Bartinsky: I just read a lot of the documents and literature that these elites themselves write.
If you do a google serach you may stumble across the things that Chairman Moe has written…its easy to connect the dots when you know what they’re thinking out loud.
Same for the Rockefeller/CFR cartel in the US..or the Hammer-Occidental-Democrat-trilateral cartel..read David R’s writings and the policy out put of the elitist CFR. Or the wild global-socialism meanderings of Armand Hammer (Al Gore’s family patron)
Better yet if you want a historical perpective on the “unseen” governing hand that has dominated and influenced democratic governments read Carrol Quigley’s “tradgedy and hope” and Garry Allen’s “non dare call it conspiracy”
Both are eye openers on how the real world works and the behind the curtain main players in global power politics.
The jist of it is that historically the world’s elite have not acheived their unfathomable wealth by open market dynamics but by subterfuge, networking and insider dealing…they are, in fact, “monopolists” NOT “capitalists”…and they are exceedingly influential in the politics of their respective nations and in global affairs…they always strive for greater influence and have devised policy and objectives to attain it…it has also worked very well for them so far.
Quigley was in this elitist clique and his writing reflects the elitism of a cabal of Anglo-American influence peddlers and profiteers. Yet he was a democrat…we see a counter to this elitist dem-based cartel with the Straussian GOPs who wrote PNAC which is essentally a blue print for taking the US constutional republic into a corporate-militaisatic modern day manifest destiny.
One common theme I see in the wrings of the elite is that the ultra rich and influential always network from a position of seclusion from the public… and they have no loyaty to any given political ideal….but they do have a bias toward statist collectivism ( socialism, Communism, corporatism) because these systems centralize and concentrate wealth and power in the hands of a few men…and this suits the agenda of these influence brokering cartels very well…It is also why nations with these nationalist-collectivist systems are always deeply corrupted by influence peddling and purchasing.
Knowing this, it does not seem so preposterous that the ultra rich (like Armand Hammer or Rockefeller or Ford…or Moe Strong or Paul Desmarais) could embrace various kinds of statist socialism. When you realize that all forms of socialism are not about “sharing wealth” but sharing labour and concentraring its wealth in a centralized power controlled by a few, then you see the symbiosis between a wealthy monopolist and a system which monopolizes power and wealth.
Powercor-LPC-UN is just one globalist cartel that operates in Canada…there are others….but this one has undermined Canadian democracy and the popular will/agenda of MY nation…so I am dedicated to exposing it.

  19. I think most people don’t believe in conspiracy theories. My first response would be that you need another layer of tin foil on your hat. That being said, the more I read about Mo Strong from sites like this the more uncertain I become that you can just dismiss the new world order crowd. The George W. Hunt video linked above could be easily dismissed in 1992 as the ravings of a nut job but then it’s 2007 and we have the Kyoto protocol (which will do nothing to reduce CO2 emissions) in place to do exactly what was predicted in 1992. It’s kind of hard to ignore. Googling Hunt I came across this 2006 web page: (sorry if this has already be posted here)
    3w.smeems.net/fam/gov/loc/64AAPCN7.htm
[It proposed to revolutionize the development of the land and cities of each
country under strict “Soviet-style” environmental guidelines, called
    “Sustainable Development.”
The UN’s communist secret agenda through “environmentalism” and “sustainable
development” is very cunning and has deceived a lot of well-meaning people.
Most people genuinely want to protect the environment and ensure that the
earth’s resources are “sustainable” for future generations there is no doubt.
But the communist goal of “sustainable development” and “environmentalism”
has absolutely nothing to do with protecting the environment or sustainability
it is all about abolition of property rights, and ultimately, collectivization
of housing and farms under corporate State control. ]
I heard of another conspiracy theory where the highest levels of the Canadian government had set up a scam to funnel money from the treasury back to themselves and if anyone ever got wind of it there was no way for it to get back to them directly. But that could never happen.

  20. “I think most people don’t believe in conspiracy theories.”
well maybe that’s why they are still being systemically disempowered and robbed.
The Powercor crew and it’s globalist mento Chairman Moe are a matter of conspiracy “fact”.

  21. Mr. Redux, your observation:
“One common theme I see in the wrings of the elite is that the ultra rich and influential always network from a position of seclusion from the public… ”
is spot on. In older times, the influential made a public display of their wealth and influence. Nowadays, even the merely wealthy purchase privacy with their money.
Do not seek fame and fortune; anonymity and fortune is what you want.

  22. Wimpy Canadian, re your comment “In older times, the influential made a public display of their wealth and influence.”
That was called “noblesse oblige,” which was based on the biblical tenet that “to whom much is given much is expected.”
Nowadays, there’s no such thing as “noblesse oblige,” no obligations to anyone or anything. No obligation to give back or to share your much with those without much.
‘Just amass as much stuff as you can, have as much fun as you can, and all behind closed doors, fences, and wired gates.
To H*ll with everyone else. Suckers…
I liked the old way better.

  23. In reality, the no-obligation, it’s all about me circus IS Hell; Rod Serling, the genius behind the original TV series “The Twilight Zone” would have a hay day with it.

  24. Thank-you for that video link, Vitruvious. It certainly nails the old dung pile (mo tse strong) to the vermin he associates with! The elitists consider all of us ‘cannon fodder”. Nice line from that lawyer, Lang.
Not many years ago, Taylor Caldwell, the author who wrote ‘Captains and Kings’ was on the New York Times best seller list almost every year. She wrote about the evil forces that this video warns us about; ‘The Sound of Thunder’ names the conspirators just as Mr. Hunt does in his video. ‘Captains and Kings’ is about President John Kennedy. During her lifetime Taylor Caldwell wrote 40 or 50 books; all of them are ‘all nighters’, that is, they cannot be forgotten or put down until finished. It is very difficult to find Taylor Caldwell books today, I bought most of my collection at used book stores. There is a web site that sells Taylor Caldwell books; just type in Taylor Caldwell and go to the first option.
I wish that Mr. Hunt would have linked the Habitats for Humanity outfit with education. The plot to drug intelligent children and to mis educate all children is directly linked with working moms and day care institutional brainwashing. All totalitarian dictators demand control of children (Hitler, Lenin, Stalin, Pol Pot, The Liberano/dippers etc.); in the past poor children were not educated so they did not matter but today, in North America, almost all children go to school – so indoctrination of children is a formidable weapon.
Wl Mackenzie Redux, your informative posts are an inspiration to all of us – Thanks.

  25. Does anyone know why Tobin quit his MP seat and went back home, with no explanation, and refused to run for leader. I think if the liberals every want to regain credibility with the cdn people, (I know the gta voters will vote, for them without credibility) as a whole, Manley, Tobin, McKenna and a few others are going to have to expose all the pimples and start a new party. Will they do it, I doubt it. There are still 100 of them in the HofC, and until they are gone nobody will talk. Mo might be getting a tad worried he is being outed.

  26. The story on Maurice Strong may not be a thread from 24. It reminds me of Goldfinger. Someone who escalates his riches by destroying others. Maurice’s involvement with the Chinese cars and the oil for food is indicative that he is not in it for the sheer help of humanity.

  27. WL Mackenzie redux et al:
So… anyone successful in a number of areas and sector, particularly in the private sector, is almost by definition suspect an elitist scum robber-baron criminal pig.
Interesting justification for the continued pursuit of mediocrity.
Is this why people who have achieved great success don’t pay any attention to wingnut consipracy theorists like yourself, unless their lives are threatened by them as they sometimes are?
Like an idiot, I had thought that success was a good thing. I guess success is a good thing only if you are a backroom political operator who somehow becomes PM without any broad experience or “success” in the real world, or one of his supporters.
SO long as you are not armed and dangerous, you are quite amusing.
Carry on – oh careful – there are funny little green creatures crawiling under your bed.

  28. “So… anyone successful in a number of areas and sector, particularly in the private sector, is almost by definition suspect an elitist scum robber-baron criminal pig”
No that was newver said nor implied…what you state here would be a “progressivist” cat call betraying an envy of wealth from some Marxist moonbat.
Unfortunately it is Moe who is the Marxist…or self professed statist socialist to be exact. And working the free market is not his strength at all. Moe dislikes free market dynamics …Moe is a monopolist.
After researching Chairman Strong’s long sordid history of profiteering at the expense of the public purse, and constantly creating schemes to enrich himself and his cartel through the wealth confiscated by tax revenues, one would have to have their head lodged in a very dark, moist and stinky cavity to see Strong’s form of public teat sucking and manipulative political networking as successful capitalist entrepreneurship…as if it was acheived by free market capitalism…nothing like it.
Moe has always been a “Monopolist” who favors political systems which provide for public funded government monopolies and which can enrich him as an unelected commissar….like Petrocan or Crown corporations or public sector hydro utilities.
So get a grip, Moe is no successful capitalist…he’s an inside trader who scams public funds with the help of political connections.
Secondly, I never asked anyone to blieve anthing I say at face value… I do invite you to research anything I have said and I provided sources where to find it.
Lastly: I see you take the same intellectually lethargic path as all political philistines and substitute ad hominem insult and innuendo in place of factual argument or any counter evidence.
So much hollow name calling from the sandbox.
If their are creatures crawling around under your bed it’s not the result of a delusion…it’s because you are afraid to look under there… and the cock roaches rule where you are afraid to look…or keep clean.
So; keep your vision obscured by encasing it in its dark moist smelly internal environment and never, ever, look under the bed….that way you will never see or have to cope with any of the world’s unseemly realities…close your eyes tight…click your heels 3 times and repeat “there’s no place like home aunty Em”….leave cleaning the cockroaches under your bed to the grown ups.

  29. Mackenzie redux:
God help us all if you are one of the self-professed “grownups”.
I actually travel the world over in my business (yes, evil business) and see much of the world’s realities first hand, not from a darkened room at a pc laced with hatred, envy, vitriol and a healthy dose of lunacy.
Oh, and I did a little research on what you said about Strong at Hydro – seems he turned it around from a multi-billion loss to a huge profit while freezing rates. I’m sure you have had many, many far more impressive acomplishments int he business world, but as you invited research, I did a little.
As to the cockroaches under the bed, well I hope you are comfortable there.

  30. Well said WL MacKenzie Redux, You have given the perfect characterization of that filthy little vermin ridden slug; Mo tse Strong.
are_u_serious – where have you traveled in the world? What is your business? People who travel usually learn something. If you are a Liberano, just say so – Mo tse Strong is a ‘globe trotter’ too, he is a tool for elites who want MEGA Power over all humans.
Mo is too greasy looking to trot out in public, do you ever see his mug on the news? Hitler and Stalin both had egregious creatures to do their ‘dirty work’ – the man fits the job! – think about it!

  31. Well well “are U”…I see your globe trotting business accumen hasn’t given you the intelligence (or possibly ethical sense) to tell insider political manipulators like Strong from free market self made entrepreneurs like Gates or Walton…Strong is a schmoozer ho got by his whole career by connecting himself with political alignments and scamming crown corps…..enjoy your flights to Bejing…you and Moe will make a cosey couple of moral relativist inside scammers…hope you both make a killing in the political prisoner organ harvest market…open another coal-fired asia powercor plant for me will ya. 🙂
BTW: I’m a retired manufacturing engineer who has had plenty of business experience with world class electronic companies in Japan, Malasia and the UK as well as military contracting so don’t look now but I think all your alleged world travel has left you wanting for judgement if you think I’m some left wing profit hater student.
