“Please Review Racial Purity Requirements Before Filing Your Complaint”

Well, I guess the next time someone spots a “Thanks for the truck, whitey” bumpersticker around town, they’ll know who to complain to;

Trevor Baragar says he felt compelled to phone the police and the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission after seeing someone display a sticker that reads, “Caution: I stop for all pedestrians, including natives”.

Here though, is the really funny part;

He made a formal complaint to the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission on Monday. He was told on Tuesday there was nothing it could do because he is non-aboriginal.

(Don’t help the resident lefties with this one. Let them try to figure it out themselves.)

  1. “He was told on Tuesday there was nothing it could do because he is non-aboriginal.”
    BWAAHAHAHAHAHAAA!
I wish I was more equal.
We actually spend (our) tax dollars on these people. Maybe CBC should just cover these tribunals and call it ‘reality T.V.’. George Strombo… could be the commentator.
Having kids really puts a perspective on things like this. “Dad! Make him stop looking at me!”
Kind of like the guys that made a ‘rude’ hand gesture in the legislature. “Mr. Speaker, I take offence! Apologise Mr. Harper!” Nevermind that there is a country to run. My personal offence takes precedence!
As I’ve heard here and elsewhere: Go Harper, Go!
(Sorry for the exclamation marks, but they illustrate the immaturity.)
    Steve

  2. “Don’t help the resident lefties with this one. Let them try to figure it out themselves.)”
—What makes you think the lefties can figure anything out? When has this ever happened before? I don’t hold my breath.

  3. Besides, the bumper sticker was inclusive, not exclusive, meaning that the nonAboriginal going crying like a baby to the SHRC was obviously a stupid lefty who doesn’t understand that there’s nothing bad about singling groups out for inclusion. After all, the left singles out same-sex folks for inclusion in the so-called “right” to marry, don’t they? Boy… talk about leftist inconsistency.
Complaining about an inclusive message and being dismissed by being excluded on the basis of his group membership… this lefty must’ve gone insane at the sheer shock of the bizarre irony of the situation…

  4. Anyone who would take a complaint about a bumper sticker slogan to a Human Rights Commission deserves to be hoisted on his own petard.
He should have been complaining, instead, ABOUT the fact that Human Rights Commissions exist at all.
    That’s offensive.

  5. For interested word smiths: according to The Canadian Oxford Dictionary, the expression, “hoisted on his own petard,” is actually “hoisted WITH his own petard,” contrary to popular usage.
A petard is “a small bomb used to blast down a door, a kind of firework or cracker.”

  6. Trevor seems determined to cause trouble….he’s that kind…..and He’ll find a way in this vast politically corrected bureaucracy that stands as a society now.
I wonder if it ever occurred to him that if the offending bumper sticker caused him this much emotional/intellectual distress, he could have confronted the driver directly and voiced his opinion…or he could have made a slogan to paste on his car that countered the bigot’s …that is how things are done in a civil socity where we are free to speak our opinion…..or did the prospect of having someone you disagree with lead off in chains and destroyed finacial appleal more to the statist thug in Trevor W Milktoast?
Treavor is a degenerate busy body, a chronic indoctrinate of the church of social elitism and probably one of the bigest cowards you may meet…..a perfect “quisling” for big brother.
He’s the guy that will snitch on you to the weed police because you have a dandilion growing in your yard, because he feels intimidated by you. He’s the guy who tells the cops when your plate has expired by one day so they tow your car off the treet, because you once spoke harshly to him about his poodle peeing in your shrubs….he’s the little repressed guy accross the street who medicates his coward’s soul by threatening you to focus big brother’s lightning bolts on your head if he takes a dislike to you.
Trevor was the class snich when he was a kid….no one liked Trevor because he was small, dorkish, snivelling and shy…he used to get his revenge by being a hall monitor and bossing the other kids around or snitching on kids he didn’t like so they got detentions. When he grew up he was too small to be a cop and too weak to be a politician and too slow to be a bureaucrat….but the new “snich laws” give Trevor some of his self esteme back when he rats on “law breakers” with bumper stickers, expired plates and dandilions on their lawns.
Dante informs us there is a special place in hell for snivelling tattlers like Trevor. Somehow this does not seem adequate enough.

  7. I had an interesting experience with the Human Rights Commission a few years ago. I was working in a hospital . I had been hired because the individuals working in this area were so overwored they could not cope. Upon starting the job I discovered that the 3 individuals in this lab were doing the about the same amount of work between the 3 of them as I was used to doing on my own. I immediatley started to implement my rural Saskatchewan work ethic. I also found out that this group of individuals had driven away 5 previous employees with their vile behavior. Nobody told me this before I resigned my previous job and moved 700 K.
The bullyng started almost immediatly. It was extreme, daily, pervaisive .One of these individuals went so far as to phone my former work place to try and get some dirt on me(she was caught). I filea a formal complaint with the health district,
the union, and I called the Human Rights Commission. I was told by one of their lawyers that I could not file a complaint because I was not a visible minority, homosexual, or handicapped . The fact that one of the individuals in this evil triumverat had contravened the Privacey Act by calling my former work place was irrelevant. I was on my own because I was a healthy, caucasion, heterosexual female. I could get a lawyer and take them to court on my own .
I have since left that enviroment and am now working on contract . The person who took over my position is being subjected to the same treatment that I was exposed to. The uion continues to protect these individuals and the circle of evil on the taxpayers back continues. (By the way bullying is rampant in hospitals-wonder if powerfull unions have anything to do with it?)

  9. how about “hoist with his own petard”
which means thrown by your own set bomb or in context of the play
“means caught in his own trap”.

  10. Petard: I was under the strong impression that a Petard was form of early medieval cannon, which said tools had a distressing tendency to not toss the ammo forward, but simply blow up.
They also use to load people they disliked into them.
As the point of this post:
Orwell: Some animals are more equal than others.

  11. Why is anyone surprised? This is racism in the ‘legal’ sense as set up by our governments. It makes it obvious who the ‘more equal’ are, and it ain’t WASPs in Canada–the multiculti capital of the world!

  12. he should go to Caledonia for a vivit . . he could find lots of things there to non-complain about . . would probable keep his little mind occupied for a long time

  13. Ottawa: Is it true or not that there have been federal job advertisements specifiying that candidates come from a single postal code area? (Greater Ottawa). Is that what is meant by “going postal”.
Human Rights Commission = Mommy (as in “Mommy … Trevor hit me!!!!!).

  14. This is a bit off topic but I thought I would include it:
Years ago, I took a high school evening class in a school where I, being white, was the minority. My regular high school did not offer evening classes. The teacher was white also. This was in the early 90s.
One day we were talking about racism, and it was a hen pecking party against white people, which the teacher seemed to encourange. No control over the discussion, and no fair debate over the statements made. At my table other white kids and I discussed between us that there is reverse racism too (that is the name we came up with on our own that evening). I spoke up and said to the class that white people are discriminated against also and mentioned a few examples. I could not even finish my speech before I was hollered at by the non-white kids. It must have offended them to hear a truth they did not want to hear. The teacher shook his head in my direction and said nothing to stop their heckling. The white kids around sunk into their seats, refusing to back me up. Then the teacher out of no-where said, “during the day I teach in another school with all white kids in the class, and it is soooo boring!”
To this day I am not sure what exacly he was trying to prove by that point. Although obviously he was trying to suck up to the minority kids.
Why did the teacher need to prove himself a a non-racist by putting himself and other white people down?

  15. This reminds me of an article I read online from a Halifax news website, not too long ago, about how awful real life is for a poor young mother attending school part time.
This young woman, a single mother living on government benefits/assistance, complained to the media that her dog, whom she had adopted a over year earlier from the local pound, developed a gum problem (while in her care) and needed expensive dental surgery. Now she can’t afford it and wants the HS to pay for it. Her reason is: It was the Humane Society’s fault because they gave her a dog with high maintenance problems.
The poor dog had to have some or most of his teeth removed.
What astounded me was her statement to the effect… “Well they should have known my financial status and not given me that dog in the first place.” (read – I’m too stupid to think for myself)
    Unreal.
I think socialism is so popular with the moonbats as it allows them to be completely self centered, helpless and irresponsible like this.
    No effort at all required.
Just stay stuck on stupid, it’s so easy.
Meanwhile the real ‘victim’ here is the poor suffering dog.

  16. I’ve slightly reworked an earlier post on another thread here. But the message is entirely the same and seems to be popping up everywhere. Only minorities, of one kind or another, are considered worthy to be the recipients of “equality”. The board I work for has just done an “equity” survey, asking for information about both race and sexual orientation. Many teachers–I suspect the excluded very well in “Bad Moon Rising”:
I see the bad moon rising.
I see trouble on the way.
    I see earthquakes and lightnin’.
    I see bad times today.
    Chorus:
    Don’t go around tonight,
Well, it’s bound to take your life,
There’s a bad moon on the rise.
    I hear hurricanes ablowing.
I know the end is coming soon.
    I fear rivers overflowing.
I hear the voice of rage and ruin.
    Chorus
    All right!
Hope you got your things together.
Hope you are quite prepared to die.
Looks like we’re in for nasty weather.
One eye is taken for an eye.
PMSH and the CPC are a light in the darkness. I hope it’s not too late.
And I hope the CPC has the cojones to big time kick butt here. Will I ever be disappointed if they don’t. Because if they don’t, it WILL be too late.

  17. This is interesting: My above post is incoherent because nearly all of it disappeared after I clicked POST.
This has never happened before. I’ll leave this as is , unless I have time to try and retrieve or rewrite.
    Any ideas, Kate?

  18. P.S. With commentary on the specifics, I pointed out that the public schools of this country have exactly the cringing attitude of the HRCs concerning certain sectors of our minorities, E.g., The more dysfunctional one is, the more likely one is to receive kid glove treatment, while the responsible adults trying to help these kids by NOT letting them off the hook–and any innocent bystanders–are subject to one indignity after another. Not a pretty picture.
The PC public school systems are spawning grounds for the most egregious inequities and many more to come.

  19. Who uses “petard” in a sentence to begin with? To boot, incorrectly, as was pointed out…
    lol!
BTW, I’ll gladly suffer through a bit of reverse discrimination any day than trade places with an individual who is in the minority. Isn’t there an old cliche about walking a mile in someone’s shoes? There are obviously not a lot of things right in the world when it comes to equality, but you can either do one of three things:
    1) ignore it
    2) hate
    3) learn to understand, and work to make it better as best you can, adjusting for reality.
Filter your views through the above matrix before you make your next grandiose statement on how you feel you’ve got it so bad when it comes to racial equality within society. BTW, the above three options are descending in terms of effort.
I don’t claim to have any answers or solutions either… I’m muddling through it with the rest of you.
    Cheers!
    Leto

  20. Trust Leto to suggest that only “minorities” own shoes or walk.
Then, he ices the cake by proposing there exists a “matrix” through which one must “filter their views” and falsely declares there are only three paths to a solution, in order to push the reader to the one in which we must learn to “understand” – that is, accept a societal construct of identity groups defined by melanin-coded racial grievance.

  21. Herr Leto said:
“There are obviously not a lot of things right in the world when it comes to equality.”
Equality was supposed to mean equal before the law [rule of laws not men]. To achieve your kind of “equality” [read: egalitarianism] you have to treat people unequally.
And YOU would like to choose these unequal treatments wouldn’t you?

  22. Interesting etymology:
French pétard, from Old French, from peter, to break wind, from pet, a breaking of wind, from Latin peditum, from neuter past participle of pedere, to break wind.
    So, who uses petard?
One could say, in an archaic way, too many do — either literally or metaphorically.

  23. Kate, thanks for pointing out the structural rigidities of my statement. I did not mean to prescribe my views as thoughtlessly as I did, as much as it came across that way. I did not profess any “clarity” of the issue, and went out of my way to suggest that.
These are just my own views and I should have coded it in that manner. I’ll try my best to do that in the future.
    Cheers!
    Leto

  24. Mr. Me No Dimmi:
All I ask is that I have the right to choose when it comes to my beliefs. What I choose to believe is neither within your domain of implied omniscience, nor within your power to deny me.
Obviously, I have chosen to write something that prescribes my muddled views upon others, and in retrospect was quite foolish. No excuses.
Someone please give me a hug.

  25. Da Wife asked, “Why did the teacher need to prove himself a a non-racist by putting himself and other white people down?”
Well, off the top of my head I’d guess that the white teacher was a socialist leftie, who figured that any “traditional,” “boring,” “quite possibly Christian,” “historically ‘privileged'” white person needed a slap down.
The pattern here is that the “racism” card is played by anyone who wants to overthrow our democractic principles of freedom and the commensurate responsibilities expeceted of members of a democracy, which are based on Judeo-Christian values, or at least have been in Canada until very recently.
“The enemy of my enemy is my friend” is at work here. White lefties do not relate at all to their “own” whiteness; they equate whiteness with historical oppression, not for a minute examining their own prejudices or mistaken assumptions, and infrequently taking into account that all races are prone to racism outside of their own circle.
Lefties’ sole purpose is to destroy the “status quo,” which in their limited understanding is the patriarchy, the nuclear family of mother, father, child(ren), the Church, law and order as practised in Canada over the last 200 years, which they would see as dealing with only patiarchal concerns, and the list goes on.
To them, the “status quo” is entirely negative. Never mind that since their own “open,” “tolerant,” and “diverse” ideas such as multiculturalism, legalizing pot, not disciplining our children but excusing their bad behaviour because their lives have been tough, creating quotas for minorities who may or may not be qualified to do the job, Human Rights Commissions, Same-Sex Marriage, etc. have gained ascendency in Canada, law and order have been on the wane. Big-time.
Never mind that our children are becoming less and less literate, less and less orderly, more and more deliquent and troubled, more and more likely to commit suicide, become addicted to drugs, to drop out of school, to not commit to a stable relationship, etc., etc.
What do the Lefties care? The government has made sure that all of these problems will be “fixed.” Huh? How?
Endless government programs and grants for them and their friends in the dysfunctional industry. There is no end now, thanks to the teacher Da Wife was talking about and a whole lot more of his clones, to minorities and victims who need to be taken care of by the State. And white Lefties are right at the front of the lineup for the grants/salaries for life industry that has grown up around these minorities and victims.
The CPC has the number of this fraudulent charade, this “the State knows what to do” mentality, but it’s going to take a long time to turn this ocean liner to Utopia/Hell (depending on your analysis of the situation) around/
In the meantime, most white leftie/lib teachers will continue to take the side of the poor, hard-done-by minority students. So what if they bully, bring guns and knives to school, intimidate and threaten teachers and other students? They’re victims and we need to wrap them in cotton batten; in other words, ghettoize them twice. But the leftie/lib has no concept of this, having not lived in the real world, well, since Trudeau.

  26. Leto asks, “Who uses ‘petard’ in a sentence to begin with? To boot, incorrectly, as was pointed out…
    “lol!”
‘You want an answer? A LITERATE person, that’s who. I’m the one who first used it, and then pointed out, myself, that the common usage is usually incorrect.
Do you have a processing problem?

  27. And, sorry, Leto, I don’t give indiscriminant hugs. If I knew you, I might, but I don’t. 🙁

  28. Thanks, Ramon Daley, for the etymology of pétard: French pétard, from Old French, from peter, to break wind, etc.”
“Hoisted with his own petard” takes on a whole new meaning…
    ROTFLMAO…

  29. I guess I have a “processing problem” as much as you have a “take things too seriously” problem then… lol!
    Sheesh…
“hell hath no fury as a literate person scorned…”
    ; )
My apologies for the remark then… I’ll keep my thoughts to me, myself and my dictionary from now on.
(I’m still angling for that hug!!)
    Cheers!

  30. Dear Leto
You seem sort of mixed up. You propose solutions (sic) and then backtrack . . . I’m not sure what you’re trying to say.
But I know what I and many others here are trying to say: Let’s treat minorities of any kind with the dignity of expecting them to live up to high standards. That’s what I do with my challenged students, who often rise to the occasion. (THAT’S exciting!) Letting them off the hook is the worst kind of discrimination. It produces “toddlers”, not responsible citizens.
In Canada, we now have a critical mass of “adult toddlers”–not just certain minorities who exploit the system, but the bureaucratic idiots (THEY’RE EVERWHERE!) who allow–heck, INVITE–them to, at the expense of the rest of us. (This is NOT a victimless gambit.)
Unless standards in all kinds of systems are set fairly for everyone and our courts apply the rule of law in a culture- and colour-blind way, we’re on the way to Armageddon. That’s what you get when irresposibility and barbarism are rewarded, as they now are in Canada, far too often.
Believe me, you’ll feel better if you’re thinking clearly! So, I hope you weigh what I’ve said with an open mind. (If you do, consider yourself cyber hugged!) Have a good evening.

  31. Petard, schmetard! Who cares? “This is the sort of pedanticism up with which, I will not put.” – Winston Churchill, scrawling on a staff memo in which a staffer had tortured a sentence to avoid ending it with a preopsition. 🙂

  32. Mark: Heh, if you find out it is, perhaps you can tell us if W L Mackenzie redux at June 18, 2006 08:31 AM got his amsuing characterization right!

  33. There is a fine line between ignorance, stupidity, black humour and hate. This one is not hate. In a free society where free speech is a necessity there should be a high tolerance of ignorance, stupidity and black humour in order that our free speech is not endangered by speech police. Nontheless, I am glad that we have a limit. Ernst Zundel found that limit.

  34. “At my table other white kids and I discussed between us that there is reverse racism too (that is the name we came up with on our own that evening). I spoke up and said to the class that white people are discriminated against also and mentioned a few examples.”
Indeed. I can’t tell you how many times I have been called a “cracker” by Natives. When Natives park in my girlfriend’s parking stall at her apt, and she complains to them, they tell her “dis iz our land.” Same with my buddy who owns a corner lot in the “hood.” When Natives constantly cut across his lawn and he complains, they inform him that “dis iz our land.”

  35. “This young woman, a single mother living on government benefits/assistance…”
Oh, don’t get me started. My girlfriend’s neighbor was on welfare (she quit going to school at SIAST because she got $50/month less) and stormed over to Kelly’s place asking to use her phone because the pawn shop would only give her $20 for her young boy’s skates–which she said had cost $80. She got on the phone and whined to her bf that she was out of cigarettes–get over here quick. She was willing to sell her son’s skates for 1/4 of their price and she was too damn lazy to even roll her own smokes.
She wasn’t Native; she was White Trash.
It infuriates me knowing that I am supporting irresponsible trash like this. GRRRRR!

  36. Hey lookout!
    I’ll take what I can get…
    : )
Good points all. Tell me then, what is the difference between catholic children getting to go to their own school, first nations people having self government (don’t get this confused with self determination) and knowing how to speak french in order to get a job with the Federal government in Saskatchewan?
From what I hear you say, would it be fair to infer that for you there should be no difference at all between any of the above examples in regards to how the current system is flawed when it comes to dealing with minorities?
I hope I haven’t twisted the debate too far with these examples… I’m trying to be as rational as I can here…
    Cheers M8!

  37. Hey guys:
Interesting site. Enlighten me on one thing; is this Clintonian wanabee, Trever, for real? This little twit is in severe need of a good G.I. party, Canadian, Brit, U.S., or otherwise. Better yet, a ROK Army whipping is due him.

  38. my one and only and failed encounter with the human rights commission came with a job at a telecommunications firm in beatiful downtown burbankburlington ontariario.
I wuz discriminated aginst. t’ont mattah ’bout whut.

they didnt have the frigin brains to articulate it for one thing.
so the immigrant at the human rights commission kiboshes the complaint of the canadian born middle aged white male.
    screw them.
I just continue to find the most clever and devious ways to cheat da gubbamint out of huge piles of cash in order to compensate myself for all the money they waste on things like impotent human rights commissions.
