By contrast, these oh-so-enlightened cognoscenti from Hollyweird are all “just” high school grads. Susan Sarandon, with an actual bachelor’s degree (albeit in drama, on a par with basketweaving, IMO) is therefore the scholar of that illustrious group. Scary thought! 🙂
I’m not one to give excessive weight to mere possession of letters after one’s name-I’ve known some very uneducated, ignorant college graduates. But it is interesting.
Bush is an easy target but mindless partisan Hollywood drones like Barbie should not be launching personal attacks with the dullest-knife-in-the-drawer argument.
The fact this wacky hollywierd Democrat zealot can’t put a competent policy argument together to roast Bush with (and there is plenty of warts in the Bush administration policy to work with) tells me the Dems have become as substanceless as Hollywood culture and politics.
Personality over substance….personal attacks over rational factual critique. Why does anyone give a pinch of coon shit about hollywood’s facile politicing?

Having an university degree does not provide immunity to stupidy. Consider the stupidity that must flow forever from the office of the Sheaf at the U of S. Consider some of the people you know that have cushy government jobs.I will admit that there are many hard working honest people who work hard in government jobs.I appreciate their efforts. It does seem to me that the closer you get to the top, the farther these people live from reality. The closer they get to the top, the more ridiculous the waste is. I have been involved in numerous government committees as a producer representative for many years. I sometimes come home and comment to my wife that my IQ has signifigantly dropped just from spending a day in their presence. Several years ago, in the times of a previous right wing government, I was discussing the just announced several hundred jobs that were being chopped in the Department of Agriculture and Food. I was talking with a well known farm leader and he said to me… think about someone who works in Government that is absolutely essential to your livlihood and tell me his/her name. After mulling over practically everyone I could think of, I told him there was some I would miss, but my life really would go on unaffected by their leaving. I have often thought about this, especially when I have been attending some boring meeting where some bureaucrat is trying to impress.
If I were to be asked to be Premier for a month, I can think of some heads that could roll and never be missed. Of course, I could only get to this job after I made a decree that there had to be at least one pair of nose hair clippers in every house in the province. Important social issues must take priority.
