Knowing our governments I suspect the placibo as you don’t want the first people taking this vaccine to suddenly croak when pushing this mass vaccine propaganda that everyone has to take or else.

J.D. Vance’s descent from a universally appreciated perceptive chronicler of the human condition to a villain of the left is also interesting.
I was going to buy ‘Hillbilly Elegy’ (the book), but my husband, who knows his way around our Smart TV, was able to find the movie for us to watch, and we both got a lot out of it. It didn’t sugar-coat the lives of poor southerners, addiction, lack of good parenting, and how difficult it is to rise above a meager or tumultuous existence. It’s not unusual for people to peg others as beneath them.
Another excellent movie is ‘King of Staten Island.’ We both loved it. It’s also based on a true story.
Here is a draft of an email I was considering sending to a few people, mostly liberals. I will probably delete it as I have become mostly “trigger sad” in recent times, deleting most comments here at SDA and draft emails to people I know, muttering mostly “who gives a sheet what I think”.
My wife and I watched “Hillbilly Elegy” on Netflix and thought it was excellent. I probably would not have bothered had I not heard that it was making “liberal heads explode”. Shapiro, a Harvard Law grad, talking high and fast, offers an insightful review and explanation of why Hollywood elites hate it, as reflected in a Rotten Tomatoes critics rating of 21% vs. ordinary viewers rating of 80%.
Shapiro was himself a conservative anti-Trumpist, aka “never Trumper”. As he points out about the liberal elitist sneerers, “This is how you got Trump”. Recall Hillary’s “basket of deplorables”.
I came to feel that much Trump hatred is class-based: I mean, he likes his steak well done, whereas all civilized people know it must be medium-rare. And— gasp—it is alleged that he puts ketchup on it!!!

The tens of millions of Trump who support the “Exceptionalism of Sovereign Ordinary Average People” is a culture developed and maintained throughout America.
The “one world” concept of saving the world by the George Soros __ Maurice Strong __ and the plethora of mis-educated Baby-Boomer Clutch of the Ivy league Oxford ilk which slipped into the U.S.A. and into developing the sad peoples to be ‘taken__ care__ of ‘ by the fortunate people who inherited North America__ with the post- WW Two – attempt to better the post – WW One – League of Nations with the punishment of the United Nations. The sensiblity of Ordinary Middle America would not accept any futher messing around in Europe had determined the remnant monarchial culture was even more vulnerable to Groups of Gangsters as proven with Collective ideologues moving aside any concept of Russian Democracy with Communism.

Not taking anything away from Hillbilly Elegy, but I think it’s a mistake to conflate the poor whites that are depicted in it with all Trump’s Deplorabes, although they may represent a subset. The real losers: the chronically unemployed, the addicted, the homeless, the prostitutes, the gangbangers,…. if they vote at all, voted for Biden. The progs use the stereotypes of Hill Billy Elegy and Kevin Williams as stand ins for Trump voters to reassure themselves of their own superiority. Just as a counterpoint, all the people I know, who voted for Trump, are suburban, coherent, educated, and employed but one, who lost her job do to covid. So, to recap, the Trump voter is not a toothless, gun toting, Bible thumping illiterate as the MSM would have you believe.
