For Canadians who have chosen not to drink the Lieberal Kool-Aid, such messages will strike a chord. The number of times we’ve all heard that “Liberal Party values are Canada’s values” is endless. Liberal hack Martin Goldfarb provides but one example.
Why isn’t Comey in jail?
I think it is better to let him continue walking around. Every person he speaks with, will eventually ask themselves that same question.
In terms of the logical fallacy employed, Comey has just used an appeal to emotion. No one wants to be labelled a traitor.

One of my favourite daily online voices is Lionel (‘Lionel Nation’). He’s an original, he’s bluntly honest, he lives in New York, and he’s a virtuoso with language.
I started reading that Goldfarb link, but having just finished breakfast, I was unwilling to risk losing it. How anyone could buy into that trash, let alone create it, is beyond rational thinking.
Sadly, with the aid of the media, many buy it.
I just finished reading that drivel. It’s in the same category as Craig Oliver’s famous election night declaration that the Lieberals are the “natural governing party of Canada”.
I often wonder how people like that can sleep at night.
Of course Craig Oliver is legally blind and perpetually stupid and an asshole.
I could not even begin to read to read that dreck. Just the picture at the top of the page was enough to make me throw up in my mouth.
Big government is like a factory but in addition to poorly providing services that may or may not be in demand, it provides habitats for those pathologically disposed to implementing their beliefs on how everyone else should live their lives. Comey represents the mentality at the pinnacle of that monstrosity where politicians are considered temporary and subsidiary to the bureaucracy, particularly those politicians who might threaten leviathan. The arrogance of public bureaucracies has long ignored the taboo on a “professional public service” engaging in public advocacy and partisan politics related to their employment. Too many civil “servants” have become uncivil masters. Conservatives erroneously think that they can actually manage leviathan rather than roll it back or eliminate entirely as most government functions can and should be either decentralized, privatized or eliminated.

They should remove 2/3 of the DEA, ATF, and FBI budgets by turning them into coordinating agencies for local and state police plus narrowly defined federal policing. Etc, etc.
The bureaucracy exists solely to preserve and propagate itself.
We need to establish a well-funded Anti- Bureaucracy Department, right now!

At the place where I used to teach, I knew a department head who was like that. He was ambitious for promotion but he was not only dumb as a post, he didn’t have much in the way of talent.
So, in order to be seen as being valuable to the institution, he took great pains to become familiar with the latest biz-babble. Whenever he learned a new buzzword, he made sure to include it in every other sentence, thereby conveying the impression of being dedicated to the institution, as well as having some secret knowledge that no one else possessed.
Whenever he uttered that new magic phrase, anybody who heard him was expected to swoon in admiration. To me, he came across as a prat who had ambitions well beyond his station.
I used to shrug off articulate bullshit, like Goldfarb’s, confidant that few enjoy such a combination of ignorance and stupidity that they’d fall for it.
Now I understand that he’s pouring gasoline on a threatening fire, and it makes me angry.
