My view is that the Trudeau government’s carbon tax has always been a Trojan horse or, if you prefer, an elaborate bait-and-switch scheme, built on the logical fallacy that paying a new tax will make most people richer.
Trudeau obviously hopes that when people living in the four provinces where his carbon tax applies start receiving quarterly cheques in July — with an initial double payment to cover the January to June period this year — they’ll forget that most of them will be paying more in carbon taxes than they’ll get in rebates.
I’m leaving this hellhole as soon as I possible.
I recommend Uruguay. Works for us – learn Spanish.
The big issue was tax out and my govt pension. Seek a lawyer prior to moving abroad.

because the tax is opaque, you can’t actually tell how much you are paying in carbon taxes.
which also means that you can’t use the tax to change people’s behaviour, when they can’t see how much they are paying, so it fails that “justification”.
and the GST is charged on this tax, which won’t be covered by your “rebate”
but the low info and the ignorant will see the checks and think “i must be doing better”

This article (video by CBC) claims that the Ontario NDP are going after a potential Conservative candidate ( in the upcoming Ontario prov. election) with accusations of having participated in a theatrical slave auction at a Western University (Kitchener Ont. ) event in 2006.
I was sold at a slave auction on High School initiation day back in 1964. My master (who paid $12.00 for me) was 5’4”, blond, , blue eyes, of French Canadian origin. Should I go to court and attempt to extort $$ from her having performed human trafficking?? Beside colluding with the Liberals, how low will the NDP go to obtain a few votes??
