More than five million people, or nearly 8 percent of those who got a first shot of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, have missed their second doses, according to the most recent data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

I actually got my first shot of distilled water this morning at an Ottawa hospital, as a prophylactic not against Wuhan flu (as I’m not a Liberal Party bigshot or CCP member, I don’t qualify for a real vaccine) but against the possibility that vaccine passports will be required to buy or sell in the near future.
I’m still standing.
The nurse who shot me up assured me that, why, there was a real live journalist in just the other day who grumbled about anti-vaxx hysteria, and news these days was all about clickbait, blah blah blah. If that’s true, it takes one to know one.
The nurse also assured me that the risk of blood clots (supposedly I got AstraZeneca) was lower than that from pregnancy. To shame me into submission, of course. Surely if a woman could take a greater risk just to give birth, a man could take the lesser one.
The nurse neglected to explain why, in that case, the risk of giving birth was one few white women care to take these days.
What you really got was probably part of a binary compound.
One could hope that Trudeau might use this opportunity to persuade the Biden Administration to ship some of those unused doses of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines to Canada to be used before they expire.

This is very interesting.
Some wish to get vaccinated for very legitimate reasons such as age or underlying health conditions. But I have a hunch that many are getting vaccinated because it is the current fad and they want to be seen as hip.
If you are mainly getting vaccinated for appearances, you likely won’t be motivated to go through the hassle of booking and getting a second dose.
