Of course they’ve had to redefine the term “minority” – it’s hard to call “non-whites” minorities when demographically they occupy 90% of the planets population and are exponentially growing in remaining indigenous white countries.

I think a lot of racism is built on personal experience and the media.
When I look at and interact with Chinese, for example, I see the amazing Chinese infrastructure I saw on my trip there, their history, their Olympic triumph. I meet them when I canvass for my CPC candidate with expensive homes, in the best schools and most importantly their family as the base for their society.
When I see blacks, though I have black friends who have wonderful families and live exactly as I do, I see Ferguson or Baltimore, the destruction of Detroit with its burned out buildings and in Toronto the crime, welfare and fatherless families, failures in schools, black mobs and I am aware of them as potential threats to me and our society.
The same feelings are present with muslims. I have a large muslim community not too far away and use caution when going there.

In the seventies, my brother Mike lived beside a friend of his who had been a high school football star and happened to be black. One day they were outside chatting and my brother’s friend announced that his house was worth more than Mike’s.
