Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

The Weather Network ran a long piece from some enviro law profs on its website this morning, full of advice on how Trump could “restore trust” in the EPA. Nicely written, very pious. Said all the nice things. And completely from fantasy land.
That agency abused its power during the obozo years and I think Trump would rather leave regulations to the states.
TWN has gone political since Trump was elected and embarrasses itself regularly.
Getting rid of TWN was almost as satisfying as dumping Facebook.
TWN was one channel that my father insisted on having on after he switched on his wide-screen TV in the morning. How many times in an hour can one watch the same scenes of wild weather or unseasonal snowfalls?
Now that I’ve inherited his house, I’ve never watched it. If I want to know the weather forecast and current conditions, I check Environment Canada’s website.
Washington Post and Amazon owner thumbs his nose at Trump by opening the new Amazon facility in Trudeau’s Ottawa. Ottawa apparently signed away it’s life blood, to the tune of 65 million in concessions, to secure the deal, so Bezos makes off like a bandit, thumbs his nose at Trump and hands Canada the bill. All in all, another day in the life of a Liberal Government.

Actually this is not the big new corporate office — it is just a distribution centre. There are already a number of them in Canada.
The EPA went completely off the rails some time ago. Returning them to sanity was long overdue. The unanimous decision of the SCOTUS against the EPA in Sackett vs EPA was one sign of rot. The culture of bullying and abuse was another. For example, here’s what how a top EPA official saw his enforcement role:
“The Washington Post, which editorialized that “The EPA Is Earning a Reputation for Abuse.” The editorial began by condemning the now-infamous remarks of now-former EPA administrator Al Armendariz, who compared his enforcement philosophy to Roman crucifixions: “They’d find the first five guys they saw and they’d crucify them. And then, you know, that town was really easy to manage for the next few years.”

Reforming the EPA and reducing regulations is about more than just global warming. It’s about taming an out of control monster.
O.M.G. !!! You’re making that up. There’s no way an unelected bureaucrat in a “science-based” Department of MY Government would liken his “mission” to Roman crucifixions. That couldn’t possibly happen in my country … whose founding and central document is the US Constitution which bestows (legally) ALL the RIGHTS, FREEDOMS, LIBERTY, and PROTECTIONS that flow from GOD! There is no way an unelected bureaucrat could possibly remove the Constitutionally guaranteed RIGHTS of American citizens.
Could they?
The more stories I hear, like this one … the more convinced I am that GOD has used Donald Trump to FREE his people of America from the leftist pharaoh’s who treat us as their slaves.
Pruitt did one BIG thing while at the EPA. I hope his replacement will do more.
“The days of regulation through litigation are over,” said EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt. “We will no longer go behind closed doors and use consent decrees and settlement agreements to resolve lawsuits filed against the Agency by special interest groups where doing so would circumvent the regulatory process set forth by Congress. Additionally, gone are the days of routinely paying tens of thousands of dollars in attorney’s fees to these groups with which we swiftly settle.”
However, I am at a loss as to whether this actually accomplished anything. The EPA web site shows 18 lawsuits for 2018 though it is confusing as a number of them listed look like repeats…..

God I hope Trump is being seen as a blueprint for future success of politicians across the western world.
It’s so refreshing to see someone who isn’t afraid of the media and far left elites. Even Harper (who I admire and miss) had his moments of backing down and making policy to appease the mushy middle and left wing of canada.
No, I’m not holding out any hope that Scheer will see the light…it will have to be someone with a little more backbone than him that comes along to lead the conservatives in canada.
Keep in mind that the EPA has done exactly nothing to reduce pollution. All they accomplished was to move factories to China and India. The pollution moved with them. China poisons the air and oceans with impunity, resting easy that their agents in the “green” movement will look the other way. They’ve even gone back to using CFC’s.
What? You thought the children of American and Canadian workers were to be allowed to enjoy wholesome food, fresh water and clean air? For free? At the risk of their growing up to compete for some globalist’s spoiled brat’s place at Harvard or Yale?
You might as well have suggested that the kids be taught how the banking system works.
No more. Shut down the EPA, replace it with nothing, and put Americans back to work, making the high-quality manufactured goods they used to make. If the local hippies have a problem with that, they can move to China.
GREAT Comment A Canadian…(am one too)
Donald J Trump is a “GODsend” no question about it…
Stand 100% with him on pretty much everything – Especially Climate Change Scam – NATO
epa.
I recollect a story by perhaps John Stossel how the epa threatened to ‘clean up’ a contaminated mining site somewheres NW USA area, by trundling HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of dump trucks thru the middle of town, contminated dust fly everywhere, gawd knows all hours of the day, etc etc.
this was back in the days of the ‘superfund’.
sorry cant provide a link, it was a rather long time ago, but showed the epa heavy handed mindset all too clearly.
I will believe that they are reforming the EPA when they prosecute people for the Gold King Mine disaster.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015_Gold_King_Mine_waste_water_spill
If this was a private sector fiasco, people would be in jail, and the contractors would all be bankrupted. No one in the EPA was even fired.
Trump is the Cassius Clay of diplomacy

You can just expect the usial Junk Mail from the Greens STOP TRUMP FROM WIPING OUT THE POLAR BEARS whata load of Malarkey these Eco-Wackos need to Get A Life
If they truly cared about the polar bears, they’d be up in the territory volunteering to be sustenance for said bears in the absence of seals.
