  6. Whittle is as effective and meticulous as ever. One small correction though, already mentioned above – Whittle says “lean” is a “codeine-based” concoction. The Robitussin used in this case does not contain codeine, but rather dextromethorphan, a substance that when taken in excess (kids generally consume an entire large bottle at once instead of the recommended tablespoon) causes a dissociative state that can include paranoia and severe hallucinations.
    Codeine cough syrups require a prescription in most places, and the high is opiate-based, so more characterized by delirium than psychosis.

  7. Comments on this site constantly talk about the right to self defense. Trayvon was stopped for no reason on the street threatened by an armed stranger. He thought it over and decided not to put up with it.
    Now he’s being trashed by this ‘news’ announcer because he went to the store.
    You can’t have it both ways. The other guys have a right to stand their ground too.
    This was a stupid, unnecessary killing. Getting away with it doesn’t make it right.
    Countries with tighter gun laws have less violence and lower murder rates.
    Could it be that the men hiding behind their guns are the real cowards?

  8. Lays out the information ignored by the MSM quite well except for a major error. Codeine cough syrup, in the US, is available only with a prescription and thus TM could not be making a “codeine based drink”. He was making a DXM based concoction and the effects of DXM and codeine are much different. TM seems to be confused about the differences between codeine and DXM in his texts (and likely wouldn’t be able to understand the difference if it was explained to him).
    If TM were to have had access to codeine cough syrup, he would likely be far less violent as codeine is just an opiate which would have made him mellow or put him to sleep depending on the quantity ingested. DXM is an NMDA receptor antagonist and sigma-receptor agonist. The antitussive actions of DXM are thought to be related to its action on sigma receptors but, in high doses, the NMDA receptor antagonism predominates. Alcohol is also an NMDA receptor antagonist among other actions. In high doses, DXM acts similarly to PCP and ketamine and while psychonauts will argue endlessly about the subtle differences between various NMDA receptor antagonists, almost all will agree that these are very dangerous drugs in high doses. I prescribe DXM to people in low doses to prevent the development of opiate tolerance and also prescribe ketamine nasal spray for the same reason. However, to get a buzz, one has to go way higher with the dose and that’s when one gets behavioral changes in some people. PCP users have a propensity for violence and, while on high dose PCP, they can’t feel any pain. Similar considerations hold for other NMDA antagonists.
    What’s interesting is that violence associated with NMDA receptor antagonists is partly socially determined. 45 years ago, a lot of people I was in high school with were devotees of Romilar, a relatively pure DXM antitussive capsule. They described primarily psychedelic effects from the Romilar and were easy to spot in class sitting quietly and occasionally grabbing at imaginary objects. Maybe listening primarily to psychedelic rock mellowed people out unlike the violence themed crap that most black people listen to.

Traythug had 4 minutes to git “home”, and yet he CAME back to were George was, why didn’t he just go home and do his drugs? George was doing his “job”, and that was keeping an eye out for suspicious characters in the housing complex. Traythug is 100% to blame here, George 0%, as George was at home, and Traythug was a visitor. Try sticking to the facts, and don’t PC bullsh1t yerself!!!

  11. It is interested how the judge tried to disarm the defense. The whole thing was started by Zimmerman mentioning to police that Martin appear to be on drugs. Martin did have drugs in his system but Zimmerman’s lawyer was not allowed to present evidence on the drug use. All kinds of irrelevant prejudicial stuff was presented against Zimmerman while a basic defense was disallowed. I am still not sure how having some police training makes one more likely to kill people but I do get the drug thing.

  15. So many inaccuracies, it is hard to know where to start, L. So I’ll just go over a couple.
    First, Trayvon wasn’t on public property, he was on the private townhouse property where Zimmerman lived. The right to self defense (even WITH Stand Your Ground laws) kick in when you are attacked. They do not cover a “threat” alone. And there is no evidence Martin was threatened. And there is no evidence to suggest that Martin knew Zimmerman had a gun…in fact, any reasonable person would deduce that had Martin known that he would have taken off. Martin and Zimmerman were separated for four minutes during which time, Martin could have easily walked to the place he was staying. He chose not to, but rather circle back to attack Zimmerman.
    So your comments in that regard are just nonsensical noise.
    Also, your comment about countries with tighter gun laws having less violence and lower murder rates is simply untrue. So too is it untrue that jurisdictions with tight gun laws in the U.S. have “less violence and lower murder rates”. In fact, the opposite is true.
    If you are going to come to this site and debate, do it with facts and not childish emotional statements. Thanks.

  16. Any idiot can look up murder rates on the internet and find that the US is on the low end. But they don’t because they are idiots and truth gets in the way of making a good point.
    I also don’t understand why black people are momentarily down on self-defense as a defense for murder. Proportionally, they are 5 to 10 times more likely to need it.

  17. C’mon glasnost,,, I’ve never been a troll. I think I was one of the first commenters at Kate’s site that started using a sigle upper case letter(I’ll defer to any old timer’s here that knew of someone else prior to me.)
    That Zimmerman was found not guilty is irrelevant to the noise machine running DC and the USA right now.
    This case was judged by a jury as self defense,, not murder.
    Yet how many murders occur nationally in the US that are not even fully investigated let alone processed ?
    What does anyone in the mainstream media care about the stats from this weekend alone in sh!tholes like Chicago Detroit or Philly?
    And this case is feeding a news cycle????? Give me a break!
    Valerie, Oblameya, Eric et al need a bigger diversion,, like a race war, to keep the peons at bay and not to notice the disintegration of the economy,unemployment, and administrative ineptitude that should be the main focus of every citizen of the USA.
    Instead, the focus is on a White Hispanic That a White African President wants to nail to the cross on some sort of bizarre civil rights Issue.
    And might as well throw in some gun control crap too,, see if that sticks to the wall.
    Zimmerman must have a case against a whole plethora of justice related asshats (all the way up to the White-house) for having his civil rights trampled on.

  18. Bill Whittle makes a mistake on the codeine cough syrup, as Loki explained. That doesn’t detract from the main thrust of the video.
    Whittle’s main point is the irresponsibility of both the media and the politicians, not to even mention the professional race hucksters Sharpton and Jackson, in hiding the real story,covering up the evidence to make their own narrative. I guess we can add Obama and Holder to that list of race hucksters now.
    This was a blatant attempt to lynch a man,and thank God the jurors aren’t as stupid as some in the media,or they would have succeeded.

  20. The MSM isn’t “malfeasant” in the fallacious narratives they propagate, they’re just fulfilling their function as part of the kleptocratic/malfeasant power structure. I think true journalism (the type where the press/media had a jaundiced eye towards big government and career politicians) died a long time ago. Big media cannot afford to be digging too deep on any political story because the corruption is so intense and wide spread, they would destroy the rainbow-unicorn narrative they have built over the last 50 years. Recently though the dino-media are complicit in covering up the crimes and illegitimacy of the current Washington regime. Holder and Obama should both see impeachment and incarceration if there were a functioning congress – but hey, that isn’t part of the concerted MSM narrative is it.
    The alternate reality which MSM narratives represent are nothing less than soviet styled mind control conditioning – and you thought the MSM was about news, fact and public dialogue? That is anathema to their purpose in the established power structure

    Six female jurors – with an opposing and hostile to the defense judge, ruled otherwise as thankfully they followed the law.
    FOUR MINUTES – that’s long enough to get away from any crazyass cracker in my books. But instead he decided to confront, attack and head pound GZ and not so surprisingly died because of it. Case closed.
    This adult sized, almost adult aged “child” who was obviously an ‘at risk’ [criminal – risk]senior HS student, was let down by his own, (his own parents, school, police, political policy) not anyone else.
    That he was into drugs is no surprise either – just read his social media sites- I did before they scrubbed it all.
    He called himself ‘no_limit_nigga’ on one of his social media accounts and called for the murder of someone who slighted him on a tweet he did before he became nln. If he truly believed that then someone/thing messed up his mind but good.
    The will be no civil suite as it will show the real TM and that just wont do. BHO will have to wait for another crisis to run his anti-gun laws through on. This one won’t fly.

I’m approximately the same age you are, have lived in some of the same places, been exposed to the same sort of people, and developed similar attitudes and come to a lot of the same conclusions you have — but I’m not a doctor (or any other kind of therapist). Your expertise fills in a lot of blanks for me.
    You mentioned how “…violence associated with NMDA receptor antagonists is partly socially determined.” I’ve actually been thinking about that issue without knowing any of the chemistry. A couple of young people who report to me (I’m a kind of IT contract manager)have been getting into the “psy trance” scene. They’re in their 20s, they hang out at raves and go to all-night psy trance events where they listen to psy trance music, which is electronic music with occasional vocals and fast-tempo electronically-generated rhythms. I’ve gotten them to play some of it for me, and most of it is pretty bad — like most of the psychedelic music of the 1960s and 70s. Most psy trance fans are on “designer” drugs, principally MDMA (“Ecstasy”) and related compounds. They are not gangsters or petty criminals, and the music does not encourage violence. They appear to be almost allergic to hip-hop/rap and related music.
    My own experience has led me to the view that the right amount of “recreational” drugs to do is zero. I have been trying to suggest obliquely to these guys that they don’t need drugs to enjoy life, that things always go worse with drugs and there are always inherent dangers, and they really shouldn’t be staying up all night. Since I’m more than twice their age, I’m their project manager/boss (at least for now), and we’ve only discussed all of this in an indirect way, it’s unclear how much of this has gotten through to them.

    As for American media, I think back to President Kennedy, who was portrayed as a healthy young
    family man. It has gradually become known that he was so unhealthy that he probably would have
    died in a few years if he hadn’t been shot. As for his sense of family ….
    And it is being suggested that Robert Kennedy may have strangled Marilyn Monroe.
    Not to mention that one from the current generation has just visited the Canadian Arctic to shoot
    baby seals!!!

  31. Regarding the codeine vs dextromethorphan. Does it really matter? Both types of cough syrup are being abused by the hiphop crowd, and both will f*** you up, when you chug back an entire bottle at one time.
    Most OTC drugs carry wording on the label to the effect, “this package contains enough drug to seriously harm a child”. Guess what, boys and girls, they aren’t kidding.

    after about 2 years of living together my X stated that some of the things she experienced hanging around with me in our earlier times were things that only happened on TV.   35. EBD, my mistake. I assumed since one can’t get the equivalent of Tylenol #1 in the US, then there are no OTC codeine products (222’s allow for easier extraction of codeine just using vinegar). Let’s assume that someone drinks the contents of a 100 ml bottle of Robitussin AC which will only give one 200 mg of codeine, approximately the same amount that one would get by ingesting 6 Tylenol #3’s. When that comes with a huge amount of guifenasin and promethazine one has to be very determined to get what is just a weak opiate buzz.
    People vary immensely in how much codeine they convert to morphine which is presumed to be the active opiate. 7% of people are unable to demethylate codeine to form morphine and these people have absolutely no analgesia from the codeine. Usually these patients come back, plunk down the bottle of T#3’s I’ve prescribed for their pain, and loudly announce that they’re useless. Then there are other people who demethylate most of the codeine they ingest into morphine and such people would be at risk of overdosing on 200 mg of codeine. There’s at least 1 infant death that has occurred in a breast feeding fast demethylator which makes it difficult to know what to use in breast feeding women as opiates are by far the safest analgesic in this group of patients.
    Promethazine is, IMO, a phenothiazine which means that it has extreme sedating effects in most people. It does have antihistaminic effects as does Promazine. The latter drug was marketed as an antihistamine in the 1950’s and is is quite similar in structure to chlorpromazine, an antipsychotic. Once when I ran out of antihistamines and tried a tablet of promazine samples that had been lying around the lab for decades, I slept all day. That may be an idiosyncratic reaction but chlorpheniramine is something I also find highly sedating. There are some people that like the relaxation they get from that generation of H1 blockers but I normally have no trouble whatever sleeping.
    If one instead drank a bottle of the pseudoephedrine containing mixture, that would be 600 mg of pseudoephedrine which is quite a hefty dose and could potentially elevate blood pressure to dangerous levels. There used to be a product called Eltor which contained 300 mg of sustained release pseudoephedrine but it’s no longer on the market. Some people seem to enjoy pseudoephedrine but methamphetamine is far cleaner. Cathinone, the favored stimulant of Somali’s, is simply alpha-keto ephedrine which can be easily made by gentle oxidation of pseudoephedrine and, in stimulant potency, lies between pseudoephedrine and methamphetamine.

    Right on the mark Revnat. I would argue that humanity has been in “chains” for millennia he difference now is the chains are invisible and to a large degree are self-constructed through acceptance of media mind control agendas – the allegory of Plato’s cave has never been more relevant than today and the “shadows” projected on our cave wall (TV screen) by the shadow puppeteers have become our reality – this puts you in chains, alternative media and critical thought allow you to walk outside the cave and see what is creating the shadows others accept as reality – higher consciousness is frowned on by the power structure because that realization will free you from the “cave” where they control your reality.

  37. I wonder if that Watermelon Juice Cocktail contains grapefruit juice as one of the ingredients. Grapefruit juice is a potent inhibitor of liver enzymes used to metabolize many different drugs, including DXM. Inhibiting the enzymes would cause the effects of the drug to be exaggerated.
    As far as codeine availability, it varies by state. Some states make it Rx-only, others allow it be sold over the counter but restricted to adult purchase. It might even be the case that DXM abuse became popular specifically because of restrictions on codeine. I’m sure there will be some huge moral panic over DXM now.
