Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Holy hell, woman. When you send someone traffic, you send someone TRAFFIC.My hosting provider thought I was being DDoSed. - Sean McCormick
"The New York Times link to me yesterday [...] generated one-fifth of the traffic I normally get from a link from Small Dead Animals." - Kathy Shaidle

James Carville should be hired as a Fox contributor to replace Juan Williams.
I don’t get the impression that Carville is a big Obama fan, and he’s a quote waiting to happen.
Cruz is one brilliant and, yes, *fearless* conservative and thinker.
James Carville knows all the dirty Clintonian secrets and is no saint. He does know politics. Still since Shillary seems currently to be the odds on Democrat unofficially I wouldn’t put it past Carville to stir up sheit and then call foul in the 11th hour.

The others in the Republican Party may want to have a look at why Ted Cruz is held in such regard.
Folding and kissing ass like John Boehner might be lesson 2.
We needed a Carter to get a Reagan. We needed a Bush to end up with Obama. Maybe the pendulum will swing back, for all of our sakes, I hope so.
If nothing else, Carville has proven to be quotable and entertaining.
He’s an old-time Democrat who does not share the values of the communist agitators who currently have Obama’s ear.
I seldom agree with Carville on policy but, as others here have stated Carville is at least a paleo-liberal/Dem and a patriotic constitutional American – so he has common ground there with the new breed of GOP like Cruz and Rand Paul who are distinctly libertarian and fierce constitutionalists and Von Mises free market capitalists. I get the feeling Obumbles nepotistic Chicago junto, kleptonomics and his statist collectivist agenda offends Carville as an American.
He is on the money when he says that guys like Cruz and Paul signal change – change will come to Congress, the GOP Party and the Oval office. I think after 8 years of watching the dissolute perfidy of Dem neo-sovietism and their kleptocratic ways, Congress and the parties will be forced to do politics differently by an angry electorate.
My dream team for 2016 – A Cruz-Paul presidential ticket for GOP
Occam, I second that motion.
I’d love to see Paul Ryan in the ticket again. He fits the libertarian and constitutional mold as well, IMO.
I’d much prefer Paul-Cruz but yeah.
I’d prefer to see a peaceful yet inexorable Tea Party revolt turf ALL of them out in 2014, and replace them with a bunch of guys we never heard of who aren’t bought-and-paid-for by the usual suspects.
Senator Ted Cruz was born in Calgary which makes him a non starter for the POTUS unless they change the laws.
What Phantom said.
Obama paved the way for Ted Cruz to be President…
This is a left-wing news station that is applauding and giving high praise to a Republican. Now think just a minute…didn’t they do the same thing to John McCain. I remember hearing the MSM describe him as a leader who could “reach across the aisle”…and we know how that turned out. This is the equivalent, to use a WW2 analogy, of allowing Hitler and Tojo to tell us which general they think would give them a good fight. Do you really think they have the Republicans’ best interests in mind? Rush Limbaugh said it best…the Left will always tell you who they fear the most when they “crucify” that person. Case in point, while the media applauded John McCain…they couldn’t say enough bad things about Sarah Palin…and we all know that it was Palin who brought out the conservative base…she was the one the Left feared the most (and still do). Don’t buy what they’re selling…they’re setting you up for another loss.
He was born to an American citizen and thus is eligible:

Was not aware of that. Thanks for the clarification.
The left is already having “fun” with Ted Cruz and the Canadian factor.

peterj, you’re so naive. That’s nothing that a little photoshop wouldn’t clear up. LOL
The message Carville is sending is this: “Cruz will be the most formidable opponent of Hillary. You need to neutralize him as soon as possible before he gets any more traction on the national stage.”
The only difference between Politicians today is who can out fox the other power for the privilege of pillaging citizens.
I am not jumping on Cruz’s bandwagon just yet, look what happened to Rubio.
