  1. ‘Watched this over at Power Line last night. It is simply and beautifully done and makes the point: We have no nut-nutties today.
I do have one small quibble, however. At the 2:12 mark, the narrator says, ” … instead of hiring squirrels, they hired less …”
He loses the “less,” “fewer” war here. šŸ™
He should have said, ” … instead of hiring squirrels, they hired fewer …”
    Sigh.

  2. Yeah, I liked the Nuts and Doorbell ones too. These presentations are even easy enough for the socialist dimwits to get—that’s if they were so inclined, which, in their dystopian La-La-Land, they don’t appear to be. I thought the Doorbell one was even a bit like a horror show. I found it sort of scary: maybe that will appeal to the zombies!
Speaking of zombies, there was also a very well done Zombie poster: creepy, with a whiff of the decrepitude of Obama and his thug administration. (The zombie’s head reminded me of the ā€œObama Jokerā€ā€”the take off of his Hopey-Change icon.)
BRAVO, Power Line! I hope their winners and runners-up— Canadian Oxford Dictionary!—get a very wide distribution. Thanks, Kate, for posting this. Perhaps SDA could post some of the other entries.
(And, re the squirrel video, like batb, I noted the use of ā€œlessā€ā€”for a singular noun—versus ā€œfewerā€ā€”for a plural noun: that’s a point of grammar that’s probably lost forever! Just like no one ever seems to use the perfectly good contraction, ā€œthere’reā€, for ā€œthere areā€, as in, ā€œThere’re 20 kids in the class.ā€ That’s what I still say, but just about everyone else now says, ā€œThere’s 20 kids in the class.ā€ Go figure, and I realize that language ā€œevolvesā€ and I just have to get used to it!)

  3. Yeah, lookout, and as “language evolves” our ability to think deteriorates.
    Lovely. :-/

  4. But, according to most media, anyone trying to bring gov’t spending under control is a terrorist. aka Tea Party member. It is ok to incite violence against them, even in newspapers.
[ Today Tucson congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) cast her first vote since she was critically injured in a January shooting.
You’ll recall that in the weeks that followed, the media bemoaned the incivility — supposedly predominantly conservative in nature — of the political debate which had allegedly created a climate of hate.
But there appears to to be no firestorm over how, just last week, Arizona Daily Star cartoonist David Fitzsimmons fantasized about President Obama sending a SEAL team to assassinate Tea Party-friendly House Republicans.]

  5. This video reminded me of another rodent-themed animated production, Mouseland by Tommy Douglas.

What is odd is that if you ignore the socialist political bent of Mouseland the ideas in it could be applied to the Tea Party. The US votes for either the GOP or Dems to control the various levels of government. Both parties are fat cats beholden to interests of the political class, not the citizens. The laws and regulation benefit these cats at the expense of the mice. No matter how much the media attempts to de-legitimize the Tea Party, the idea behind it cannot be contained.
