The IMF’s money (do you really think he paid for it himself?) not at work:
Handcuffed: Strauss-Kahn does the ‘perp walk’
Predate: Overlooked this from Kate:
The World Is Being Run By Crazy People
… and socialist perverts…
Update thought: Never would have happened in Canada, including moving fast enough to arrest the bugger (in the generic, not sexual, sense) at the airport.

“This sort of thing simply doesn’t happen in France, where the sexual peccadilloes of its leading politicians are simply taken for granted”
That’s the difference between the cheese eating surrender monkeys . . . what we call rape, they call “sexual peccadilloes”.
They also call surrender to the Germans “Victory”.
Go figure.
If he goes to jail, whos the bitch now?
Bad time to be playing hanky panky without consent while Europe is falling apart monetarly. Someone will have to take the fall.
Perp walk? He’s French, shouldn’t that be frog march?
Entitlement complex.
Ah yes, another left-wing pig at the trough.
Supposedly smart enough to the run the IMF, yet so stupid he attacks the hotel maid.
They are all the same, Clinton, Kennedys, etc. etc.
If you click on the video here:

You can see the NY prosector make a good case that he be kept in jail.
Oooh, and doesn’t he just look all CRANKY about it too. Yippie kai yay MoFo!
I’d love to see the guy who thought up the gun registry doing that perp walk. And the guy who thought up AdScam, and the guy who came up with the Green Shaft, and…
Wow, I am surprised they caught him before he left the country.
The piece in the NP says he’s a socialist who rejects Marx…sounds like he could get a gig at the United Church of Canada, they employ ministers who reject Jesus.
I suspect though that his rejection of financial reality is a greater concern. The IMF still believes you can pay your Mastercard with your Visa… forever…might be interesting to hear what former Clerk of the PCO Kevin Lynch thinks about his old boss’s woes.
Ratt, they took him off the airplane -just- before it left the gate. Last possible moment.
There he was, sitting pretty in the first class cabin thinking he’s home free, kicking back and havine an aperitif, then D’OH! he’s cuffed and dragged off the plane like a crack-head gettin’ dragged out of Burger King. I bet he pee’d his pants.
SWEET!
There is a new ice cream flavour. It is only served when wealthy, big-spending, bum-pinching perverts are arrested. It’s called schadenfreude-licious and it’s as good as it sounds!
On another note, with his intelligence and $3,000 dollar a nite hotel room why didn’t he just get a couple of hookers. I am sure he knows the Ex-Gov of NY, Spitzer, surely he didn’t throw away all of his contacts. On another another note, I thought at his age a glass of sherry and a good cigar is all you need. WTH do they feed this European Elitists ?
My comment addresses the outrageous excess of the hotel room tab, not the alleged sexual assaualt. Others will no doubt comment on the latter.
An example. When I was working for the government, I had to attend a meeting in Sydney, Australia. Government policy dictated that any plane trip over nine hours allowed one to travel business class…the trip from Ottawa to Sydney, being 22 hours, obviously qualified.
My travel agent advised that a business class ticket was $7400; at the same time, they had a seat sale for coach costing $1700. I personally could not justify sticking taxpayers with the difference to fly businss class, so I opted for coach. Best plane trip I ever took…the plane was half empty, I simply went to the back, stretched out on three connected seats, and slept all the way.
But the fallout on my return was surprising. I received phone calls from a number of my colleagues who accused me of ruining it for the rest of them by choosing the cheap option. My response was advice to engage in a sexual act that is not only biologically impossible, but unfit to be posted on this blog.
Another example. In Ottawa, at a meeting at the A/Deputy Minister level, we were discussing the option of funding a program, one that I thought was of marginal value. During the meeting, I cautioned that we were talking about spending taxpayers’ dollars. The room went silent, and I was faced with everyone else staring at me as though I had just uttered a blasphemy.
The problem was, everyone in the room but me considered that the funds under consideration was THEIR money, given that it was in ther budgets. They did not think to look past their budgets to ascertain the source of the funds.
There were, and still are, a number of people like me in government; the problem is, there are just not enough of us.
And that, dear reader, if you have made it this far, is why I am no longer working for the government.
Ratt: “WTH do they feed this European Elitists?”
Spanish fly?
So the oh-so-civilized French find it perfectly acceptable that their politicians behave like randy tom cats on the prowl? Gives a new definition to ‘savoir-faire’.
Bruce, I once worked for the feds too, and took your tack. ‘Not popular. I quit after four years.
I remember a friend in another government department, “having” to take a “business” trip, in order to exhaust his department’s budget for that year. The trip was completely unnecessary, cost a bundle, but ensured that the department would get as much money or more the next year.
Multiply that financial fiasco many times over, over many years, and it should come as no surprise that we’re running a deficit. It’s not that there isn’t enough money, it’s that too many of those in management positions are neither responsible about their expenditures of our money, nor are they accountable. Add to that, that there’s been an exponential expansion of the number of government employees, and it’s a sad situation for our children and grandchildren.
Let’s see now … socialist Jack Layton found naked in a whore house, socialist Strauss-Kahn found fleeing a rape scene on an Air France jet liner.
What’s with these vain elder male socialists .. oh wait … it must be the Viagra … since that vanity drug appeared … there’s a lot of ugly senior sex taking place …. It’s sort of like Botox for the penis. hahahaha
Bruce, the West’s democratic governments need a helluva lot more people like you and a helluva lot less of the “entitled to my entitlements” parasites. I’m a Yank, not a Canajun taxpayer, but thank you anyway for your integrity. All our everyday acts, large and small, like the ripples from the pebble tossed into the pond, keep going and do make a difference in the world, even when we don’t see them.
Memo to self : When ordering the French Maid package , make sure you go to the brothel .
As far as DSK is concerned:
What’s all the fuss about? He was just trying to do in the bedroom exactly what he’s been doing in the boardroom.
(Bruce and batb, I gather that if a government department doesn’t spend its full allotment, the next year the amount will be cut. I know it worked that way in school boards: sometimes the teachers in my department were told to go out and spend X amount of dollars on books and resources we didn’t need, so we’d not lose out on funds in the next budget. What lunacy! How about rewarding—rather than punishing—financial prudence and restraint?)
To see this entitled bureaucrat nabbed is, indeed, schadenfreude. These arrogant blood suckers and parasites, who are spending the ordinary citizen into penury, deserve all the “pay back” they’ve earned.
“On another note, with his intelligence and $3,000 dollar a nite hotel room why didn’t he just get a couple of hookers.”
I was wondering the exact same thing.
lookout – “Bruce and batb, I gather that if a government department doesn’t spend its full allotment, the next year the amount will be cut.”
A foolproof system.
“I know it worked that way in school boards”
And all those teachers, slaving away, barely able to put food in the microwave. Won’t somebody please think of the children!
“On another note, with his intelligence and $3,000 dollar a nite hotel room why didn’t he just get a couple of hookers.”
Because forcing them is the fun part to these guys. The sex is secondary.
I have asked this question of government staff but they could never explain why their budgets must be spent. As a Director of a national company I, as every manager did, would prepare a budget for the coming fiscal year. It never had a bearing on previous years, any item must be justified and any funds not spent was never spent on unneeded items or costs as my boss who approved the budget would want to know why.
Could someone explain the government budget process?
You know
Maybe they would install a high wire and skank pole for the rutting chimpanzee to do the perp walk during his allotted one hour a day exercises: who knows, the possibilities are endless.
Is the head of the IMF part of the international community who don’t think much of Canada these days?
If you care what an accused rapist thinks of you, you might be a liberal.
I’m going to deviate from my usual chums on this one … at least for now. Maybe he is guilty and if so, good riddens.
But something seems strangely fishy about this entire scenario.
Time will tell.
For anybody wondering if this guy might be innocent or why didn’t he just get some professional help, this article (from 2010, by the way) explains a lot:
Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the head of the International Monetary Fund is an incorrigible seducer whose weakness for women could fatally scupper his presidential ambitions, a new book has claimed.
Watching that kind of waste go on for years damages a person. My favourite expression was ‘some kid at Burger King is paying for that.’ didn’t make a difference. The orders came from on high. You need a big budget to justfy all the people you had to hire whether you needed or wanted them at all to justify other people with no real job.
Cutting budgets is the only way and only if they can get rid of staff.
HRC is a good example. Gun registry is another.
You have to admit that a 3K/night suite is a step up from a grotty Tornto massage parlour. French socialism obviously has higher standards than Canadian socialism.
H/T O’narcissist: ““Yes, we Kahn”.”
…-
“The Sound of Sirens
Hello darkness, my old friend.
I’ve come to talk to you again.
The most unfortunate headline of the day is from the Guardian’s Pierre Haski: “Dominique Strauss-Kahn’s fall is a blow for France’s Socialists”. The perils of the English language. The fall part is right. The blow part is now the subject of a criminal investigation. But this much is obviously true. Dominique Strauss-Kahn was a man sitting on top of the world. Why did he, er, blow it? In a little while he would have been President of France.
Everything was ready, even the T-shirts with the slogan: “Yes, we Kahn”. Even the hagiographic biography, with its chapters on extramarital sex leading to its happy ending: its subject’s proclamation of eternal love to his celebrity wife. But France woke up today to the news that Dominique Strauss-Kahn, head of the IMF and the man tipped to replace Nicolas Sarkozy next year as French president, was behind bars in New York, charged with the sexual assault of a hotel maid.”
http://pajamasmedia.com/richardfernandez/
The only plausible explanation of what Strauss-Kahn, allegedly, has done in this remarkable fall from an almost certain political pinnacle, is
1) he’s French; French men are always hitting on women (ah, yes, I remember it well, when hitch-hiking in France many moons ago), and
2) his entitled French, socialist arrogance made him reason that “she’s just a two-bit hotel maid; if I want her, I can have her.” If this had happened in France, this incident would just be another day in the life of his Greatness, Dominique Strauss-Kahn.
This is big-time hubris.
Well, all those who are sent by our government outside the country, be it military, civilian or diplomat, work to a set of regulations.
Here is the current Military one, http://www.cmp-cpm.forces.gc.ca/dgcb-dgras/pub/cbi-dra/tc-tm-10-eng.asp
Looking after someone outside the country comes with a steep price tag, and the higher in rank or position they are, the more money.
I had a friend who, as a Sergeant Administrative Clerk, was posted as the Assistant Military Attache in Malaysia in the 90’s. His position came with a car, driver, 4 bedroom estate house(with housemaid, gardener and cook).
Now, he did have certain social obligations to entertain at a certain level, but as a single man it was a wee bit over the top.
Another, posted to the embassy in Tokyo, had higher income from her salary equalization than from her normal pay.
The best part of this is imagining how this socialist, left-wing, pig-at-the-trough snob is enjoying macaroni and cheese in his NYPD cell. A little bit of change from drinking Petrus and foie gras, wouldn’t you say?
Frankly I hope the prosecutor wins on every count.
at 3G’s a nite, in one week this fool would pi$$ more money away then many seniors are recieve in a year, and are expected to live on, and this fool produces nothing
just bring good olde Clithro to mind, 2.3 million a year to run a monopoly
I’d love to see the guy who thought up the gun registry doing that perp walk.
That would be Alan Rock; hopefully that Lieberal skank will get his just due someday.
I have to agree with other posters that something is fishy with all of this.
Guy’s like this don’t get caught or arrested for things like rape, unless a bigger fish has decided to catch them.
This is nothing in the corrupt diplomatic world of our rulers, our real rulers not the local federal capo’s that sit in parliaments and congresses.
Rape is probably at the top of the non-crime “perks of the job” for guys like this.
Knight 99, he has a history of rather aggressively chasing women. All the pieces of the puzzle fit.
Now perhaps the hotel maid exaggerated a bit – although I doubt it based on what I’ve read – but even if she did, the fact is that the head of the IMF is nothing other than a left-wing French pervert who saw fit to make a move on a hotel maid like he was a star in some sort of b-rated skin flick.
How often have we seen that the “greatness” of “great” men and women is vastly overrated when the curtain gets pulled, and this is most often true for those on the left.
The other point I would add is if this maid was indeed a plant designed to finish off this socialist’s career, the hotel would have figured it out by now and would be working overtime to make sure their reputation was not tarnished.
In this case I-want-to-be-a-porn-star Strauss-Kahn is cooked like a Sunday goose.
His only way out will be to bribe the maid, which I am sure he is already trying to do. There’s nothing an ex-communist wouldn’t try to solve using a few bribes.
As another retired federal public servant–I once had to make a trip (honest business) from Ottawa to Hamilton. VIA Rail first class, which I wanted, was cheaper than air plus ground. But no first class allowed.
It’s all about perception from our vicious media rather than real cost.

Ottawa
The victim was motivated enough to come down to the cop shop and pick DSK out of line up. And, the NYPD apparently has DNA evidence.
I suspect the police and prosecutors are well aware of the danger of him pulling a pre-trial Polanski.
The chance of his fat little backside getting nailed is rather high.
I wonder if the foie gras and cognac is up to snuff in Attica?
Schadenfreude!
I don’t know what to make of this- I’ve only heard snippets. BUT…the guy did warn that Sarkosy and his goons will pull out all stops to discredit him. Looks like they might have tried.
Politics is a dirty business.
If the guy did it, I hope they throw the book at him… but I strongly disagree with what TJ said:
“Now perhaps the hotel maid exaggerated a bit – although I doubt it based on what I’ve read – but even if she did, the fact is that the head of the IMF is nothing other than a left-wing French pervert who saw fit to make a move on a hotel maid like he was a star in some sort of b-rated skin flick.”
So falsely accusing a man of rape is ok if he’s a rich socialist? As much as I hate socialists, NO WAY. No one deserves to be falsely accused of a sex crime, no matter their politics.
Mercules you are naive. Decent grown men in responsible positions, who have earned their way in life, don’t hope to score with hotel maids. They wouldn’t even dream of it. They carry themselves with utmost professionalism.
On the other if you are a rich hypocritical socialist who lives high on the hog at the taxpayers dime, then chasing a hotel maid is considered perfectly alright. Nor is it the first time he’s been less than professional.
The man is disgusting, and I hope he rots in hell. It is a hotel maid for heaven’s sakes. What a complete and total loser, and yet another example of how many of these arrogant left-wing socialists are not nearly as great as they make themselves out to be. They are scarcely above bums on the street.
Apparently the randy old sob has a track record of sorts –
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/may/16/dominique-strauss-khan-tristane-banon
Wonder if the young woman’s mother talked her out of pressing charges because he was a family friend, or because he was a fellow socialist and possible political rising star; my guess would be it the latter that influenced her. Nothing is too much to sacrifice on the great altar of socialism, probably claims to be a feminist as well.
To put this matter properly into context.
NYPD has had a long standing ugly on about the UN diplomats among other visititing foreign VIPs.
These diplomatic maggots armed with diplomatic immunity are a never ending aggravation. Everything from skating from parking, moving, drug and even violent offences.
It was not that long past, a diplomatic limo rolled out a body on Park Avenue….reported by well heeled witnesses…but diplomatic immunity made it a non-event.
IMHO, this Strauss-Kahn creep lacked diplomatic immunity and that just made the NYPD’s day. No set-up, no frame up…just the wrong place at the wrong time….and a long way from home.
U.S. does not have an extradition treaty with France, if the plane takes off with him on it, before the arrest, he ain’t coming back, A la Roman Polanski. U.S. will not probably give bail for fear of flight!
