Returning from over two weeks of dog shows between Colorado and Idaho, it seems my home province has decided to pour out the welcome mat…

The photo was taken south of Swift Current this morning. I’m lucky I didn’t decide to cross at Harlem.
It was still dry in Montana yesterday, but not for long.

Dryer times at the Canyon Crest restaurant, overlooking the Snake River Canyon in Twin Falls, ID. Every few minutes a base jumper would parachute from the bridge.
Thanks, as always, to our intrepid team of guest bloggers. Work obligations have meant a lot of international travel so far this year, and SDA simply couldn’t continue without them. If you haven’t already, be sure to offer your thanks in the comments.
Normal posting will resume in the coming hours.

Welcome home! You do more traveling than Tommy Hunter and Hank Snow put together.
Now, feed the kids. They’ve been whining since you left…

Welcome back to the wetlands Kate. EBD, Cjunk and others have been doing a stellar job of holding down the fort.
I thank them and you for the continued effort.

Yes, I did get a couple of whiny emails. Apparently people have this blog confused with what I do to make a living…
They all did real well. Nice to see you back with that special deft touch of yours.
I think they just love the free home cooking, hence the impatient foot-tapping…and the demands for refunds.
You might want to consider lowering the entrance fee to $5.
Welcome back Kate! The guest bloggers did a great job.
Kate,
Cjunk, lance and EBD did an excellent job, I hope you’re paying them well.
Welcome back Kate. Man, I can’t believe all the water in your neck of the woods. Looks like you have only two types of weather in Saskatchewan, too dry or too wet.
Wow Kate…just like you have described in the past…water poured on a cookie sheet with nowhere to go.
Yes indeed…
The guest bloggers did a fine job.
But…
Glad you are back!
Thanks, Kate.
Thanks, bloggers.
I’d say the Prairies have enough water to make man-made lakes every five kilometers!
Welcome back! Guest bloggers kept us informed as usual. Thanks!
Dog show!? Any winners? The scenery pictures are amazing!
Silly me…I was thinking you were in Quebec to make a deal with the Sun media/tv people…heh.
As mentioned the guest bloggers did a fantastic job.
What bugs me though is that AGW was supposed to make us warm and dry.
Old Man river is flooding. River parks shut down. Farmers have reseeded after the first deluge 2 weeks ago that left seed rotting. Won’t be any better this go round.
I just wish they would either bring on the global warming or shut up about it and quit getting our hopes up.
Thank you to all of the other posters …yes i am greatful for your posting’s again thank you …..glad to see you back kate.
Paul in calgary.
Thanks to all the guest bloggers. ‘Almost home sweet home! Welcome back, Kate.
‘Time to build an ark?
The guest bloggers were their usual excellent selves, thanks and welcome back Kate.
Thanks for the scenery shots.
The waterfowling should be pretty awesome this fall.
Hi Kate! Welcome back!
The guest bloggers are one reason why SDA rocks.
Welcome back Kate. Nice scenery shots. The guest bloggers did a great job and I could hardly keep up to all info they fed. Hope you came home with some prizes.
Great stuff from the guest bloggers, but you were missed Kate.
Nice shot of the Storm Clouds in the hills. Humbling it is.
Welcome home and thanks for the video reminder of why it is called SPEEDY CREEK.
Whoops, I messed up its not Speedy Creek.
Kate, you back before the fourth of July…

The guest bloggers were so awesome we barely noticed you were gone!
Well, no, but they did a great job. Thanks guys.
Here’s my nod to the guest bloggers. Great job keeping the home fires burning in Kate’s absence. Oh, and welcome back Kate.
Resourceful allies deserve recognition, Kate.
But how does one thank anonymity?
Other than, Thanks Guys!
For what it is worth, good job everyone!
