Home Again

Returning from over two weeks of dog shows between Colorado and Idaho, it seems my home province has decided to pour out the welcome mat…

The photo was taken south of Swift Current this morning. I’m lucky I didn’t decide to cross at Harlem.

It was still dry in Montana yesterday, but not for long.

Dryer times at the Canyon Crest restaurant, overlooking the Snake River Canyon in Twin Falls, ID. Every few minutes a base jumper would parachute from the bridge.
Thanks, as always, to our intrepid team of guest bloggers. Work obligations have meant a lot of international travel so far this year, and SDA simply couldn’t continue without them. If you haven’t already, be sure to offer your thanks in the comments.
Normal posting will resume in the coming hours.

  1. Welcome home! You do more traveling than Tommy Hunter and Hank Snow put together.
Now, feed the kids. They’ve been whining since you left…

  2. Welcome back to the wetlands Kate. EBD, Cjunk and others have been doing a stellar job of holding down the fort.
I thank them and you for the continued effort.

  3. Yes, I did get a couple of whiny emails. Apparently people have this blog confused with what I do to make a living…

  4. They all did real well. Nice to see you back with that special deft touch of yours.

  5. I think they just love the free home cooking, hence the impatient foot-tapping…and the demands for refunds.
You might want to consider lowering the entrance fee to $5.

  6. Welcome back Kate. Man, I can’t believe all the water in your neck of the woods. Looks like you have only two types of weather in Saskatchewan, too dry or too wet.

  7. Wow Kate…just like you have described in the past…water poured on a cookie sheet with nowhere to go.
    Yes indeed…
The guest bloggers did a fine job.
    But…
    Glad you are back!

  8. Welcome back! Guest bloggers kept us informed as usual. Thanks!
Dog show!? Any winners? The scenery pictures are amazing!
Silly me…I was thinking you were in Quebec to make a deal with the Sun media/tv people…heh.

  9. As mentioned the guest bloggers did a fantastic job.
What bugs me though is that AGW was supposed to make us warm and dry.
Old Man river is flooding. River parks shut down. Farmers have reseeded after the first deluge 2 weeks ago that left seed rotting. Won’t be any better this go round.
I just wish they would either bring on the global warming or shut up about it and quit getting our hopes up.

  10. Thank you to all of the other posters …yes i am greatful for your posting’s again thank you …..glad to see you back kate.
