I, for one, believe that it is now obvious that General Patraeus is a liar and a scoundrel and that he’s betraying our friends in the United States. The surge has had no effect and it’s time to declare our intent to surrender to Osama Bin Laden. One must only read the link to see that not only are Sunnis killing Shiites and shiites killing sunnis, but now sunnis are killing al qaeda. Reprehensible behaviour from our terrorist creating soldiers.
We and our American cousins should follow the path that lefty surrender cod in Britain have cut for us. First we should oppose war under any circumstance (WW2), then we should run up massive deficits due to rapid expansion of government, then eventually give all of our decision making capability to the government. The Russians and Chinese are making plenty of inroads in the Middle East already. Their strategy to gain influence within OPEC involves sending in businessmen and signing contracts and they’ve been pretty sucessful with it so far.
