  1. “you have been sat too long here for any good you have been doing. Depart, I say, and let us have done with you. In the name of god, go!.”

    (Harper–2004)
    (Cooper–2007)

  2. So an NDPer steals money, commits fraud and lies….and this is “news”?
Don’t be shocked when the MSM grabs some extra zzzzz’s over this one.

  3. What is interesting are the number of fraud/theft/scandals that are plaguing the Sask. NDP. Grant Devine’s crew never got charged until AFTER they were out of office and the NDP commissioned a witch hunt. This NDP government is bursting at the seams with scandal and corruption. ie Channel lake, Spudco, Murdock Carriere, Glen Hagel, etc.

  4. “Lorge was not satisfied with the way the Ann Lord situation was originally handled by NDP caucus”
That’s a pretty funny statement, especially after you read Lorje’s report to the Caucus Administration committee. She didn’t seem to have any problems with how the “Lord” situation was handled, Chief of Staff Fodey was ok, it was Carla Douglas who was the problem.
Reading through all the documents provides a prime example of what a whistleblower can face.

  5. Completely unbelievable what they put Carla Douglas through, for merely standing up and doing what was right.
One of the memos also indicates that the NDP were prepared to fire Carla Douglas without paying severance as dictated under common-law principles.
Makes you wonder…they were going to fire Douglas without severance, but they went and paid $275k + pension to Murdoch Carriere? Completely unbelievable.

  6. Did Lorje ever have a forensic audit performed as was advised by the police? If so, and discrepancies were noted, why no follow-up?
I would question the ethicacy of Mintz and Wallace, the NDP accounting firm. Did they whitewash the audit?
I suspect that Carla Douglas was asking too many questions and the NDP could not afford a scandal after their Grant Devine and Co. witchhunt. She needed to be contained. How did a $19,000 discrepancy become just $6100? Must be Socialist accounting!
One also has to question the police investigation or lack thereof. Seems they lacked interest in investing the new government of the day. Wonder why?

  7. One big problem I see here:
The Information and Privacy Commissioner is not a police officer, and is not capable of conducting a criminal investigation, nor laying criminal charges. Thus, information he derives from his investigation, including interviews with members of the 1992 NDP caucus, will not be obtained under police caution. (you have the right to remain silent…..)
The problem this brings up is that NDP members, if culpible in the commission of criminal offenses such as obstruction of justice, will be able to allege that a (potential) police investigation was based on statements given to the Information and Privacy Commissioner, without the protection of police caution, and thus, evidence given to the commissioner would likely be inadmissible in a criminal proceeding.
The only appropriate investigation to conduct here is a criminal investigation, with potential obstruction of justice suspects (ie: the NDP caucus) given appropriate police cautions, and the results reviewed by an out-of-province Crown prosecutor.

  8. Re: the police investigation…
As Gypsy notes, “One also has to question the police investigation or lack thereof. Seems they lacked interest in investing the new government of the day. Wonder why?”
Interesting that the Police Chief at the time was Murray Langard — who ran for the NDP in a nomination shortly after this surfaced in 1994 I believe…

  9. I would like to know if SP candiate Christine Tell has any information related to the lastest development in this story. The RPS are now investigating that the leaked documents in this case are from the Regina Police Department where she works. I look forward to the results of this investigation and maybe the SP might have some explaining to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. It’s illegal to have this report. Are you trying to compare 6000.00 to the 800,000.00 your party took? The SaskaTory party is drawing at straws trying a little too hard to nail the NDP with some immaginary coverup. They obtained legal documents illegally. I hope they get sued for slander. This will backfire in your face. You are such losers. Do all the polls you want most NDP supporters will not answer any poll. Remember only SaskaTory supporters answered it. Also remember “the devil you know is better than the one you don’t”

  11. It’s illegal to have this report.
No it is not. The document has been tabled in the Legislature. It is now a matter of public record. And there is nothing in either police report that could not be obtained by looking in a telephone book.
Its a police report, and any reasonable person reading such would understand that any allegations contained therein have not been tested in a court of law.
Are you trying to compare 6000.00 to the 800,000.00 your party took?
However, this statement of yours would appear to be libelling the Saskatchewan Party. Shame, shame.
The SaskaTory (sic) party is drawing at straws trying a little too hard to nail the NDP with some immaginary (sic) coverup.
The evidence is out there, and in plain view.
They obtained legal documents illegally. I hope they get sued for slander.
And what evidence do you base this allegation upon? Whoever leaked the documents ‘may’ have breached an oath, but merely being in receipt or possession of such documents is not illegal.
Do all the polls you want most NDP supporters will not answer any poll. Remember only SaskaTory supporters answered it. Also remember “the devil you know is better than the one you don’t”
Sounds like we have a desperate NDP caucus worker amongst us, posting in vain, scared witless about having to find a real job in the real world when he gets the boot to his ass along with the rest of Calvert’s cronyism crew after the election.

If there’s nothing wrong with having the report, then how come the SaskParty has removed it from its website?
And “nothing” in either police report that could not be obtained from a telephone book?
    An outright lie.
Sounds like we have a desperate NDP caucus worker amongst us, posting in vain, scared witless about having to find a real job in the real world
Please enlighten us about the ‘real jobs’ in the ‘real world’ Sask Party leader Brad Wall has ever held in his lifetime.
According to his own official bio, Wall has spent his fair share of time nursing at the government/political teat.
How did the ‘Last Stand Adventure Company’ do, btw?
