  1. If this is a band office, I don’t see a problem. If it’s a liquor store, on the other hand, I can see potential concerns.

      1. “I thought a liquor store was a band office.”

        Oh, you’re bad… 🙂

    1. The location is at the University of Lethbridge; more specifically just south of the students union building.

      1. Hmm, probably some kind of licensed premises in the SUB, so, hard call. On balance, I’ll decline to be scandalized. The local bands have legitimate roles in the administration of the university and the elders play active roles there, so this is basically just staff parking for specified positions, which doesn’t strike me as a scandal.

This is the campus which has sworn to drive Frances Widdowson off with armed force because the most dangerous local criminals don’t like her. I’m inclined to worry more about that. Being nice to the local elders doesn’t strike me as a problem.

  2. Oh, my bad, officer, I thought it said “INDIGNANT Elders Parking.”
    PERMIT me to elaborate…
By the way “reserved permit required” is a tautological statement.

    1. In fairness, there’s a fine line between “indigenous” and “indignant”, and they often go hand in hand. I tautological statement, but I couldn’t teach it much!

  3. I guess they didn’t teach the apostrophe in residential school. No time after the lessons in pissing and moaning?

  4. If I leave my chicken hat draped over the steering wheel, I probably won’t need a permit, right

  5. That doesn’t look like a hitching post! Cultural appropriation of my community and ancestral arts and sciences!

Note: Cultural appropriation is the adoption of elements from a marginalized or minority culture by members of a dominant culture, typically without understanding, permission, or respect. In Canada the indigenous are the dominant culture.

    1. I might suggest that the unbelievably stupid, naive, easily fooled and manipulated are by far the dominant culture in OnePartyState Canada.

      1. I would consider them the dominated culture actually. They may be more numerous, but that does not make them dominant. Unable to think on their own and controlled by liberal party media machine and educational co-conspirators to blindly follow the dictated path.

Indigenous and fellow travelers (libs, AWFUL, judiciary, commies, etc.) are in control.

  6. I think we all agree this would not be a problem on an actual reserve. Imagine the signs there. “Parking for Frog Clan only, all others will be Toad!”
