Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

I do like many of Pierre Poilievre’s comments, but not all of his policies in these past few years.
and do think it’ll make for an entertaining interview. Maybe Joe will replay the apple eating interview for his American audience.

WTF is that creature? I think she was trying to make some point but we can’t be sure.
That’s Sharan Kaur.
Her whole business is propaganda. LIEberal propaganda.
Former Deputy Chief of Staff for Morneau.
Runs Navigator, a PR outfit.
Lots of involvement in “Communications” in Liberal government at other levels.
“Crisis Management”
She is, a PRO at misinformation and disinformation. Planting seeds of doubt based on nothing more than hunch, suspicion and hate.
Scott Reid is another face, from the same career path.
These are professional liars and scumbags.
Fifteen million plus listen to Rogan. And your ratings are….???
I had a look at CTV in the wiki and didn’t see the number of actual viewers.
It may be quite a bit fewer than Joe Rogan’s number of listeners/viewers and when you consider that Joe Rogan’s staff appears to be a couple of people looking things up and providing quick links, 2 camera people, and audio person, keep the lights on, have someone arrange airplane tickets and spiffs for those being interviewed, someone to archive the entire mess and ensure the taxes are paid.
I think it’s less than any show on CTV.
Most importantly, it doesn’t, and won’t, reach the Boomer Liberal audience.
For them, anything online is disinformation and conspiracy theory.
They’re just following the orders the TV tells them to follow.
The Rogan interview can’t hurt, but, the timing isn’t right.
So long as Jenni Byrne is still involved, the CPC appears to be following the same, misdirected strategy that will keep them safely in second place.
Won’t know til we can watch tomorrow but I don’t think it’s gonna be the win for PeePee that that all the cuckservatives think it will be.
It might make him look better on the American & International boomer stage, and I don’t think it will do him any harm amongst his current supporters, but unless he comes out and says that upon forming government he will end supply management & all tariffs on American goods, allows castle doctrine, reverses ALL previous gun grabs, makes all DEI hiring practices illegal and transitions all federal hiring to merit based, bans all trangenders from participating in biological gender based sports and banned from all female only spaces , the right of all provinces to secede, and whatever the equivalent or closest thing to a pardon should be issued to anyone charged and convicted of any crime related to the freedom, he won’t make any inroads amongst those of us who have already washed our hands of his cuckservative ways.
Great list, Thor.
I would only add three things: call out the residential school industry (maybe another inquiry…this time hearing from *both* sides, not just one), pledge to start arresting people who fund and organize Hamas rallies and do something about our uncontrolled immigration.
1. Property rights.
2. Crossing the floor triggers an immediate by-election.
3. Eliminate MAiD.
4. Eliminate bonuses for Federal management & employees who merely show up to work 2-3 days/week. There must be a clear goal & clear success in achieving that goal.
5. Eliminate “work from home”.
6. An immediate 50% reduction in Federal employees, with serious cuts to follow.
7. No Federal deficits upon pain of firing via MAiD.
8. A complete rework of MP’s vs population.
9. No more “Special Status” and constitutional guarantees for Kaybeck.
10. I’m tired of trying to find English on my cereal box. No more official bilingualism, especially but not limited to, MP’s, judges, etc., etc., etc.
.
.
.
.
As none of the above will be tenable to the Laurentian Elite, I don’t give a damn. WEXIT!!!
11. No more publicly funded urinalism. From MotherCorpse all the way down to the local rags.
“11. No more publicly funded urinalism. From MotherCorpse all the way down to the local rags.”
Seems that I missed a few. Thanks, DB…
I know I keep “beating this drum” but I would also add “Do not spend money, you do not have!” Eliminate ALL Foreign Aid – the federal Liberals borrow expensive money from international lenders to then turn around and “give it away” to “less than special” countries in Africa and to the biggest grifter – China.
Yeah, insist on that entire list! Refuse to support anyone who doesn’t check every single one of your boxes! Hold the line! Insist on complete and total conservatism!
And then you can wonder why you get liberal government from now on, forever. You too can be a UK, with commies in charge because you were Pure and proud of it.
It really says something about the media in general that the ONLY REASONABLE COVERAGE of politics is being done by -comedians- on self-funded podcasts that run live with no editing.
Rogan talks to these guys for three hours, and he asks questions like “What’s up with the Keystone pipeline, Pierre? Why didn’t you guys finish that thing?”
So I’m looking forward to watching that whole interview tomorrow.
I must say from watching PP on Triggernometry that he did not cover himself in glory that day. Came across as what he is, a Government Guy who believes in Government. However he does seem willing to acknowledge that pretty much every problem we have in Canada is -caused- by government directly, and that if we fired 60% of them everything would improve dramatically.
Ha! You almost sound hopeful PP will get elected and run Canada like Javier Milei? Yes, that’s what the Socialist Provinces of Canada needs … a serious government house cleaning shut down. But you know, and I know that will never happen. At least not until every last Canadian is taxed and spent out of their last dollar … and still then 49% of your country will claim “everything’s great!”
“But you know, and I know that will never happen.”
That is correct, it won’t, because the one thing Canadians are most afraid of right now is #OrangeManBad. Terrified! People I know are literally buying guns because they think they’ll need them to defend the country from the Americans. As if we could do that.
I’ll tell you something most people don’t know: Canadians LIKE lining up. They’ll stand peacefully in line for hours. It’s a sense of community, right? Everybody is doing what they’re supposed to do. About the only thing that gets them riled up is line-jumpers. If you try cutting in line, somebody will kick your @$$. That’s Canada.
The Normies don’t want freedom. They want FAIRNESS. What they -will not- understand (because they refuse to) is that fairness does not come from government. Shortages do. They’ll vote for shortages if it seems fair. You’re watching that play out right now. That’s literally what they’re doing.
So PP can only go so far with the freedom and tax cuts theme in an election. The imbeciles will not vote for freedom and tax cuts. They won’t! You have to run on fairness. Then after you get in, you can sneak all the tax cuts and freedom in under the door, type thing.
Which no politician will ever do, because where’s the fun in reducing government when you’re a politician? You want to -increase- government.
“I must say from watching PP on Triggernometry that he did not cover himself in glory that day. Came across as what he is, a Government Guy who believes in Government. ”
Sadly, yes.
In their defence, the Triggernometry guys (being British) really didn’t know exactly what questions to ask him. If they had, they could have made him look much worse.
At least PP has the balls to sit with Rogan and not have a liberal media filter. No doubt he will make some mistakes, the format is pretty free form. It’s not even worth asking if Carney would take on an interview with Rogan.
“It’s not even worth asking if Carney would take on an interview with Rogan.”
Gavin Newscum did. Looked pretty bad, but not as bad as I expected. I’d expect the same from #Carkey. Engaging and smooth, lots of bafflegab technical jargon, nothing of any substance would be said.
I’m sure #Carkey is very nice and engaging in person. He’d have to be, given what he’s managed in life. Bro would be so smooth you could skate on him. But he’s still eating your lunch.
Good points. However I haven’t seen Carney under much fire or pressure. It’s easy to B.S. in front of a friendly WEF audience or MSM that won’t challenge him or ask follow-up questions. Or put real inflation numbers in front of him and show him how his carbon taxes are fueling it. Or ask how solid of a document an MOU is. All his public interactions are engineered and prepared so he can B.S. for 30 seconds and skate on. Of course that’s modern politics.
It will be good conversation, but will amount to nothing. It really isn’t a big thing.
What are the betting numbers on Pierre being the Conservative leader as he begins his job as official opposition leader with the Liberal majority government.
The fact that he is willing to do a long form interview speaks well of him and his confidence in his platform. However, to the average USA-hating Canadian, this interview is a downside. USA style politics! American
far-right media….etc. etc., etc.
It could backfire, but frankly, I don’t care. If any TDS liberals dare to tune in, they may find a different PP than CTV has been selling them. People here like to bash PP, and my first choice will always be separation.
What I would really like to see is Carney attempting to do the same. He won’t, but that is my most delicious fantasy.
Which gives my age away….I know. If that’s the best I can come up with.
This will not change one elbows up retard, only drive them further entrenched in the liberal cult. They will insult PP even further with their envious ridden mindset.
It is a good move for PP in the long run, but my optimism for Canada to save itself left quite some time ago
Free the west and lets move on, is my hope!
Perfection is the enemy of good.
Maxime Bernier said all the good things you want and where does he stand in the polls?
The CPC has a base of about 35% that want what you want (includes me). The LPC has a base of about 40% and the pollsters and media. NDP/Green/Bloc has about 15%. That leaves 10% available to be converted – just enough for a strong minority or a weak majority. The CPC doesn’t need to be hardline, they need to talk to the 10%. Additionally they need the NDP to grow from 6% to their 20% before Singh tanked it. Their growth will come from the Lib voters who will never vote CPC.
So what is it to be: a kamikaze Don Quixote alienating the 10% or a strategic vanilla non threatening policy wonk talking to the 10%?
They’ve tried the strategic vanilla approach every election I can remember since Mulroney. Other than the Harper years when Canadians were pissed at the Liberals who were busy tripping over their own feet at the time, it’s literally never worked.
“They’ve tried the strategic vanilla approach every election I can remember since Mulroney. Other than the Harper years when Canadians were pissed at the Liberals who were busy tripping over their own feet at the time, it’s literally never worked.”
Absolutely. When your Liberal opponents write helpful editorials urging you to be more like them *and you listen to them*, you’re doomed. They do this deliberately, to divide the conservatives, because it continues to work for them.
Let me say this about that….
When Poilievre lost the election, that was his exit.
The thing is that certain Carney stole all of Poilievre’s election positions and made it his own.
You can say that the electorate liked Poilievre’s semi conservative ideas, they just went with the propaganda on the so called ‘Liberal’ side.
If they like Poilievre or not is completely beside the point, he is history.
I have supported him when he started, wrote to him about the money supply to the mass media cartel, his position was that he would stop it. Unfortunately, after the election he changed his mind and first agreed that the Q’bec state radio needed the public cash, then he did not mind blowing millions to the rest of the media cartel. Wrote to him about that and that was the end of conversation.
Will have very hard time voting for the so called ‘Conservatives’.
Hoping very much that the JRE podcast is not going to be a disaster, can’t think what is it going to be about.
“If they like Poilievre or not is completely beside the point, he is history.”
Yes he is….and rightly so. He was handed the perfect opportunity at the last election and he BLEW IT completely. He could have been Prime Minister today if he had just shown a little backbone.
Poilievre is not a stupid man. He knows that you can’t just defiantly confront Donald Trump and somehow expect to ‘win’ when you have no leverage…you have to ‘manage’ Trump by being willing to negotiate with him. Trump asked Canada for three very reasonable concessions (border security, fentanyl, dairy products) and all we had to do was *talk* to him about them. Instead, we got the “Elbows Up!” lunacy designed to spit in Trump’s face and infuriate him (for the sole purpose of gaining Liberal votes, of course).
BAD MOVE. Really bad move. Guaranteed to fail.
I held my breath only briefly when Carney pulled this, hoping against hope that Pierre Poilievre would see through this transparent attempt to generate Canadian ‘patriotism’ at the expense of our economic future and do the smart thing. I wasn’t at all shocked when he chose the cowardly path of publicly proclaiming that “We will handle this just like the Liberals, only better!”.
He’s done. Choose your next leader, CPC.
