         The B-52 is as olllllld as me! The A-10 is just slightly older than my daughter.

5. Rather interesting that shahed drones and equivalent fly at speeds of late WW1 fighter aircraft.

   1. And they get dropped by 20mm cannon fire … just like some WWI German aircraft. Well … actually 30mm cannon fire from Apache helio nose guns.

7. They’re great for taking out technicals and other lightly-armed ground assets that can’t shoot back.

8. Will never forget my first glimpse of a Warthog as it lumbered around above us while on exercise with the 1st Canadian Signals Regiment exercise in 1980. It looked so unusual, an armored jet that could fly slow and low.

   I asked what the heck was that and was told it was a tank killer. Now it kills boats, drones and again, bad guys.
   Such an amazingly versatile aircraft. The jet that wouldn’t die. Which will be in service longer, the A10 or B52?
