‘NORAD pact would change if Canada pulls back from F-35 order, warns Trump envoy to Ottawa’ https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/norad-canada-us-f35-9.7059800
US envoy says US would ignore Canada sovereignty if Canada doesn’t buy F35s
Here is a simple solution: the F35 deal was for $19B for 88 aircraft. At present prices that is escalated to about $35B so that leaves $16B over the $19B in the original deal. Cap the F35 program at $19B and budget that $16B for Gripens to make up the shortfall. You get almost as capable aircraft that is more reliable and not subject to US pressure.
And send Hoekstra home, with Trump declaring the trade talks unnecessary, an ugly american is not needed

    1. Never mind the 35’s, or Gripens, get a whole bunch of 15-EX’s, they are better than both of the others.

        1. “Aye, no Gripens, they just complain all the time.”

About their old age, no doubt.

Hollywood star Kristen Stewart, once known for her Twilight fame, is now threatening to abandon the United States and relocate abroad, all because of President Donald Trump’s America-First film industry policies that she claims are stifling artistic freedom and squeezing Hollywood out of its creative core.
In an interview with The New York Times, Stewart blasted Trump’s proposed 100% tariff on foreign films, calling it “terrifying” for the film industry and a direct threat to creative expression in America, according to Fox News.

The private jet that crashed during takeoff from Bangor International Airport in Maine on Sunday evening is registered to prominent anti-ICE lawyers who were spending tens of millions of dollars to elect Democrats in the upcoming Texas primaries.
The jet was registered to Arnold & Itkin Trial Lawyers, known for its aggressive litigation and leftist political activism, including substantial financial support for Democrat causes, particularly those opposing strict immigration enforcement and Republican policies in Texas.
