  1. Imagine Toronto is a grocery store. Capitalism fills the store with groceries. Socialism empties the store. Communism runs the store after it’s been emptied. But don’t worry. It will take quite a while to empty out Toronto. Even years.

  2. Did you notice she used the 2024 example of 1,164 home sales would be affected by this increase?

She didn’t want to mention how little this will generate, given there were ~120 home sales worth more than $3 million so far in 2025.

    1. “Only 25 new condos were sold in downtown Toronto last month. How is this possible?”

If the wealthy are going to be asked to “chip in more” I think it’s worth citizen’s while to consider, buy a house they can easily afford, and take their money out of all streams which the gov’t deems more taxable. It could be dramatically worse next year, keep in mind there are NO SIGNS of improvement whatsoever, and not a week goes by without the gov’t announcing a new tax scheme.

  3. Just another reinforcement of the Canadian ethos, “we don’t like failure, but we really hate success”. Canadians used to dare strive for mediocrity, now even that bar is too high. Is it any wonder the first act of the Canadian successful is to get the f*ck out of Canada? Shithole.

  4. Socialists won’t stop spending, till they,
Run out of other people’s money,
or anybody with anything, leaves the reach of their(insert city) taxation.
Not too different, than what’s happening in Saskatoon.

  5. Explain the concept of cause and effect to a liberal voter.
Ask them to explain how their voting for idiots resulted in having idiots elected.
See if their shallow one dimensional minds can connect the dots.

    I’ll wait……
