Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Typical Blackie: He was mute/MIA before the game when Trump + JD Vance joked, provoked/trolled him. Now after the win he’s feisty and boasting. Disgusting & typical for a scumbag like Juhtin.

it’s possibly less jokey over in the Trump camp. That’s how sports works.

Still nothing at PDT’s Truth Social account even just congratulating Team USA on an excellent series.
Now do Kanukistan’s aircraft carrier.
For the masses, it’s all bread and circuses.
For the elites and Emperor Justinian, it’s proof of their natural right to rule. Thumbs down and take those Yanks out behind the coliseum and execute them.
For the tax-slaves, it’s just another Friday. Back to work for the Masters.
It’s back at sea. But, can it submerge and resurface?
Submerge?
Ah, Yeah! For sure.
Submerge? sure. Surface? Not so much.
Only the Rainbow brigade can take our game!
You slay me Kate!
Thanks. 🙂
What ever you say governor.
“Our Country” = “post-national state with no core identity.”
And don’t forget the genocide.
Which, interestingly enough, Little Justin’s father would have authorized and overseen in his 15 years in power.
It takes a very courageous or very stupid man to get in that antiquated tub. Lets hope it doesn’t get nudged by a pod of killer whales.
For what it’s worth, there’s nobody I’d rather lose to than McDavid.
So I guess we flew our ‘one’ submarine crew from the east coast to the west coast to take that sub to sea… now that HMCS Windsor is getting ready for a 5-6 year refit.
O-boats, 22 month long refits conducted by Her Majesties Canadian Dockyard (Halifax).
I thought our game was lacrosse. Didn’t we steal that from the indians?
Those were rusted hulks thirty years ago when we bought them. It likely would have been a lot cheaper to have bought new American nuclear subs or built our own. The only reason to keep subs is to maintain the skill set, not fight wars. That’s why we should have a small aircraft carrier, perhaps an oiler with a full flight deck.
Logic and reason dictates that if you want to protect and maintain your sovereignty over a piece of territory, you have to demonstrate you have the capability to confront any force that might make an incursion into said territory.
Pay attention to any party making defence procurement proposals or campaign promises over the next while and when they mention obtaining more naval capabilities, specifically sub-surface fleet capabilities, they purposely avoid using the term “nuclear”.
I’m not referring to munitions with nuclear warheads.
No, I’m referring to nuclear powered submarines.
It’s like some kind of sacred cow in Ottawa and among our betters.
Truth be told even if we did obtain such assets we would be subject to limitations due to the fact we can’t maintain them currently and would have to get them from an ally that would trust us and would allow us to use them at our discretion.
Which then leads to an ironic situation where the Canadian government would be forced to request the US government allow the sale of nuclear subs to Canada.
And frankly, becoming the 51st is likely a lot easier than trying to buy a nuclear sub.
Then again, making a suggestion to the Trump administration that we are interested might be the type of thing he wouldn’t mind hearing as a sign of good faith.
Quite right.
“Which then leads to an ironic situation where the Canadian government would be forced to request the US government allow the sale of nuclear subs to Canada.”
That was attempted in 1987 when Canada proposed acquiring nuclear powered submarines from Britain. However, the US had the IP rights. Washington said ‘no’ because it didn’t trust Canadian information security re. USSR or China.
The mania about nuclear military technology resides primarily within the abominations who staff Foreign (Global) Affairs in Ottawa. They refuse to get over their sense of entitlement and being insulted over India’s 1973 nuclear weapons test.
9 years with stupid in charge has destroyed Canada !! Pierre Poilievre has his work cut out if we ever get another election!!!
It will have to happen before May. The Government of Canada runs out of money in April. This will require a new appropriations bill in the House. Being a money bill, it is automatically a confidence motion.
Lord Stanley moved to the US 30 yrs ago and hasn’t returned.
And the players are all paid in US$.
The NHL is rigged. Never mind just Canadian teams. No team outside of a major US TV market has won in that long. The odds of that happening without interference simply defy any reasonable doubt.
That’s my tinfoil hat thing.
US response:
We already took “your” game. When last did a Canadian team win the Stanley Cup? Oh and just so you know, this isn’t the first communist state we’ve lost to in hockey.
CCP instructs Trudeau to put the Canadian military on full alert to prevent American subversives from sneaking across the border and stealing all the precious resources they covet.
ONE diesel-powered submarine, in a world of heavily-armed nuclear-powered subs that can stay submerged almost indefinitely. A diesel sub needs constant refuelling, meaning resurfacing. What is it armed with? Popguns? 40-year-old sub using WW2 technology. I feel so safe.
An article I read recently referred to Canada’s “cardboard military.” How apt.
Canada has a squadron of four. They are armed with 6 21-inch torpedo tubes firing up to 18 Tigerfish torpedoes. These are state of the art weapons in use by Australia, Brazil, Canada, Netherlands, United States, Republic of China. These torpedoes have a range of 50 km. The government bought the latest upgrade for them in 2014.
Four subs to monitor 243,000 km of coastline (151,000 miles). Yes, I know that’s following all the little ins and outs, but there is still a massive length of coastline where foreign subs can hide or secret bases be built. Satellite imagery can reveal some of it, but it cannot drive it out or discourage it in the first place. In comparison, the US has 153,000 km (95,000 miles) of coastline to monitor, and they have many, many subs and ships and airplanes to do it. The subs can run under the arctic ice for a very long time.
Modern submarines (non-nuclear powered) use “air independent propulsion” (AKA fuel cell AIP) which is quiet and has much greater range. The earlier Type 212A model has an underwater endurance of up to 3 weeks and will be replaced by a larger updated model designed for stealth. This looks like an excellent solution for coastal patrol on all three Canadian coasts. The Type 212CD will be much larger and faster. Submarine development has come a long way.

“Don’t let its small size fool you however, the Type 212A is has a long, three-week underwater endurance before it needs to surface, and benefits from a diesel engine for high speeds, and an Air Independent Propulsion system powered by hydrogen fuel cells for slower, silent cruising.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_212CD_submarine
It would not matter what Canada has they will never fire on anything ever.
Row, Row, Row Your Boat.
With a little bit of ingenuity, Fidelito can have those subs enhanced with oars made from discarded wind turbine blades. Think of the emissions reductions!
One torpedo hit, or 5 days with a DEI crew will put that out of service.
If PP is elected, I sincerely hope one of his first moves is to create a DOGE who will eliminate the entire procurement department of the armed forces and start all over with new staff. The current department is horribly incompetent and likely corrupt as well.
