Tucker Up, Buttercup (Bumped)

Clips are now making their way to Twitter, and some of them are lit. According to the comments, you can access the event via Blaze TV. I’ll post a few in the extended entry.

Update: You can find the video coverage here, still live, now into its 4th hour. Scroll the red time bar back for segments with the candidates.

**********

This is going to pull a lot of eyeballs.

One by one, Carlson will grill Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former Vice President Mike Pence, South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy.

Regardless of any private hesitation they may harbor, each of the campaigns who spoke with RCP ahead of the event say they take Carlson seriously. Most have spent considerable time preparing. And for good reason.

Pence gets brutalized.

  1. This will be epic.

Tucker is the only conservative commentator who drags politicians away from their traditional loyalties, when those loyalties are damaging to citizens.

  2. Probably cause some upsets.

But I believe Tucker will vote for Robert Kennedy Jr.

    1. Tucker moved the Overton Window more dramatically in this one event than he was able to do in his entire last year at Fox.

  3. And here I thought pencilDICK wouldn’t go into a room alone with a woman that wasn’t his wife. The bible pounders in here lionized him for that, now those same fools are vilainising him.

    1. I wouldn’t get within arm’s length of a female in DC if I were that guy, much less be alone in the same room with one. You’d have to be crazy, the Bible has nothing to do with it. Instant assault accusation, guaranteed.

Since being VP for Trump, Mr. Pence has revealed himself to be a disloyal swamp creature. That could be why people here don’t like him anymore. Bible still has nothing to do with it.

Is everything about the Bible with you, Gym? You seem a little obsessive. Maybe go outside and touch some grass, dude.

      1. Panty Boi
Bible thumpers reveal part of their character make up pounding their religious beliefs, try understanding BASIC behavioral psychology, wood jah?
You see it in here, pounders are always winning about gays, until they agree with Rick Grenell, Joe Hoff, Andy G’no, Sue Anna Levi, or Sundance. And then there’s the constant attack on muslims, until they (including you) they need muslims to beat the CCP over the head.
You are nothing but a fraud!

        1. “And then there’s the constant attack on muslims, until they (including you) they need muslims to beat the CCP over the head.”

So the Xtians are the Big Problem, with their thumping of the Bible and all that, but the mooselimbs are totally cool? Because mooselimb fundies are what, holier than Xtian fundies? Better behaved?

I have no particular use for Christian fundies, but with them at least I know they won’t try to knife me in the street. It’s not a thing the Extreme Right Wing Christian types do.

Generally I’m pretty easy to get along with. As long as people keep their hands off me and don’t get on my lawn, I’m willing to let them be all the weirdo they want to be. Dress funny, talk funny, its a free country Gym.

I do admit to having a problem with rape, murder, child abuse, theft and the mindless destruction of public property. That’s why I don’t like things like FGM, honor killings, drug dealers, Liberals and drag queen story hour. All under the same umbrella as far as I’m concerned.

Tell me again about the bible thumpers Gym, I never get tired of misdirection and propaganda like that.

By the way, Mr. Pence really covered himself with glory in his interview eh? What a guy.

        2. My beloved brother GYM … The gays … the entire 2sLGBTQqAI+/- … declared WAR on the children of America. The War in Ukraine is being sponsored by the 2sLGBTQqAI+/- who want to rid the world of heteronormative leaders like Putin. Sorry … some WARS declared or not MUST be fought. The stakes are as high as the FASCIST Axis of Evil during WWII.

I am not particularly interested in what ANYONE does in the privacy of their bedroom … but shoving it in my face, and indoctrinating my children (grandchildren) is crossing a RED line in the sand. The 2sLGBTQqAI=/- can suck each other’s pennisses to their hearts content … but when they try to suck my grandkids male appendages … and then try to cut it off … they’re gonna call down my eternal wrath.

        1. Looking at that guy’s face in the Carlson interview, he looks like the crazy general in Dr. Strangelove. He’s a Perfumed Prince if I ever saw one. That flat affect? No who I want with his overly-manicured finger on the button.

      2. The Phantom:

Well said. I NEVER trusted Pence. I was struck by the barely contemptuous look on his face while watching Trump at his desk signing stuff. Paul Ryan and Bill Barr too. And others.
And you are absolutely right: in the den of thieves called Washington DC you’d have to be a total moron to be in a room alone with any other woman but your wife. And the same applies to those few male school teachers and their female pupils. Nothing whatsoever to do with religion.

And of course GYM’s obsession with the bible and its thumpers gets zero traction here; amazing that he persists. I’m thinking he’s suffered abuse from a member of the clergy or perhaps a devout ex-wife or something. He does make some good observations and seems to be street savvy but I suspect that nearly all SDA people skip his posts due to his insane bible obsession.

        AMERICA NEEDS A SECOND PARTY.

        1. America needs more than some minor political change. They need a competitive media, they need -honest- elections and they need their taxes cut in half. That would be a bare minimum.

Canada, we’re farther down the road of tyranny than they are. Our wheels are coming off at this point.

  4. So my question is “who will be the Nation’s “second choice”, when the “first choice” is locked away by the Stasi”?

  5. It won’t be epic, it’s moot. The president who had the election stolen from him, and who has an overwhelming lead, won’t be there. It’s like the satirical commercial about house hippos, but this is the house RINO event. Small, ineffectual, go-along-to-get-along globalists stringing together their pieties. Even if a separate interrogation / interview is held later the implication is that the-one-who-cannot-be-named-in-the-article is only a minor player.

I do not expect that the key question of whether the people of the US decide their government, or agencies of the government decide their government, will be raised.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dz1hXTZreBw to explain house hippos to our international friends.

    1. I hadn’t thought of this previously, but Tucker asking the questions of the other candidates that will not be asked of Trump (by anyone credible), actually puts Trump out even farther ahead. Therefore making things even worse for RINOs and making MAGA look much better.

      1. I expect the Lamestream Media will ask Trump ALL the inconvenient questions. That’s the one thing we can count on, actually.

Trump is not that great a guy really, in my humble opinion, but he’s SO much better than these other weenies it isn’t funny.

        1. The mainstream media won’t ask the questions Trump needs to be asked, because on those things the media agrees with him (taking credit for the vaccine long after it was a proven failure, defending “granny-killer” Cuomo’s Covid response to try and score points against DeSantis, refusing to speak against the tranny agenda, still being a horrible judge of people as evidenced by his Ronna McDaniel support, etc)

        2. I have repeated ever since Trump descended the golden escalator with his fashion model wife … that I have NEVER respected or been attracted to “The Trump Brand”. It has always felt so contrived and phony. However … as soon as he declared his candidacy … I KNEW he was MY PRESIDENT! Now and forever. Why? Simple. He was a political outsider … truly speaking TRUTH to Power. Albeit in a crude and rather DIRECT manner. And I correctly and unflinchingly predicted his victory in 2016 (and 2020 … oh well … I didn’t predict Biden would get 16m more “votes” than Obama in 2008).

Trump is the ONLY outsider candidate whose vision for America aligns very, very, closely with mine. And in the face of all the odds he was the GREATEST President EVER in my lifetime. America is in DESPERATE need for Trump’s second term

          1. Truthfully I kind of like the crude and direct manner. That’s one of his good points. ~:D

        3. I like Trump enuf, but if you ask me, Ramaswamy is Trump without the ego and bluster. VR is all for America First, MAGA, non-ESG, non-gender nonsense…

  6. I believe Blaze TV is carrying the interviews. You can download the app, or watch using Roku or go to Blazetv.com

    1. Been watching it all on Blaze TV … excellent broadcast. And Tim Scott needs new campaign advisors. Who told him that he should stand-up and walk the stage … turning his back on Tucker to answer every question. How odd … he looked like Joe Biden being confused and wandering on stage. Tucker’s face was priceless as he was doing this … taking it from a conversation FACE to FACE with Tucker … and turned it into memorized pre-rehearsed speeches. So FAKE. So contrived. So disrespectful of Tucker. So disrespectful to the viewer who wanted to hear HONEST, off the cuff answers … not campaign speeches.

Sorry … but Tim Scott came off as a wind-up monkey smashing his cymbals together in a repetitive mechanized beat. Go ahead, call me a racist. Meh.

  7. Pence continued to prattle on about Jan. 6 … I swear … he sounded EXACTLY like Nancy Pelosi … whining about being hustled into the SECURE basement of the Capital. Pencer Puhleeze.

  8. Say goodbye to Mike Pence. As much as I may admire him personally, and that goes down every time he speaks nowadays, stating it wasn’t ‘his concern’ to the decline of the USA will be the soundbyte to ruin him. What?

  9. Tucker’s tête-à-tête with Asa Hutchinson was a freakin’ homicide. The only thing missing was a chalk outline.
I’m sure Asa’s handlers told him…”ok, let’s not do that again”.

  10. Yikes! Pence doesn’t think well on his feet.

Not only did he give an entirely callous response. He repeated it a number of times while he tried to think of a way out of the situation. Finally, he resorted to a canned “I’m running for president to correct what Biden is doing.”

THIS is what we in the business refer to as a “Professional politician.” They have their agenda. They depend on media who provide a blank canvass so that they can paint their agenda without interruptions. When someone throws them a curve ball they are lost.

    1. Orson, google an interview with Ted Kennedy being interviewed a few decades back. He was simply asked why he was running for president. His halting bumblng robotic cliche-saturated answer was epic!

      1. And that is why Jimmy Carter was confident that he would “whip his ass”, which he did.

  11. I’ll give progressive Pence points for honesty: Power over the people of the USA, not their welfare or safety, is his concern.
Progressives need “war” to prop up their malignant ideology of false narratives to ditch accountability, to preserve their power.
Virtue signaling wars against poverty, drugs and now climate change have morphed into hot wars, in fact the first greenwash war.
Did Trump ever have a chance to restore the US to its liberty loving roots with such parasite progressives infecting its body politic?

  12. I’ll disagree with one characterization of Tucker’s grilling of these candidates: these were not murders by Tucker.

All of these blithering idiots committed suicide.

    1. When your whole platform is a tissue of lies, half truths and actual insanity, it is really hard to talk about it and come off looking good.

All these guys look like trapped rats. They’ve never been asked any real questions before.

If Pence had a brain he would have asked Carlson what the federal government and the office of the President should be doing to clean up the streets of New York City. But he -doesn’t- have a freakin’ brain, which is quite apparent from the interview.

  13. Having watched the interviews ending with Vivek Ramasawmy, I have to give him full contender rating above the others who have talked so far. He is DJT in his attitude towards the power structure of the US government. Whether any candidate would have the power to steer the US gov’t in a new (better) direction is a different question. He may be Don Quiote, but I have always had a soft spot for people of his apparent beliefs.

    1. I came to a similar conclusion a few weeks back. I haven’t watched these clips yet, but this guy, speaking, what he says, is out of the park.
I have yet to reconcile his earlier Soros funding nor have I followed up on the all important does he actually consistantly do what he says and can he do what he says. Mountains need moving. Currently I’d love to see a Trump / Ramaswamy ticket followed potentially by Ramaswamy / ? In ’28.

      1. “I came to a similar conclusion a few weeks back. I haven’t watched these clips yet, but this guy, speaking, what he says, is out of the park.”

Me too. Saw a video of him a couple of days ago being ‘interviewed’ by some rather hostile black people. He acquitted himself quite well.

      2. He didn’t/doesn’t have Soros funding. He got a scholarship from Mrs S & S junior (I think that’s right) to go to law school. Yes, it was Yale (I believe?) but he does NOT come across as anyone who is in ANY way ‘captured’ by the Ivy/left wing nonsense.

    2. Because I know so little about him … I want to dismiss Vivek. But I couldn’t disagree with a single thing he said today. And when he talked about a God shaped vacuum in the human heart … he was speaking my language. And I was especially impressed when he said that he didn’t see any great conflict between his Hindu faith and Christianity … and that he learned as much in Catholic school. Without getting deep into theology, I won’t argue with him.

In fact everything he said was so slick, and so targeted at the prototypical Trump supporter … I’m left wondering if it’s an act? Nothing would make me happier than to endorse a young, energetic, independent, conservative, Hindu who identifies with Judeo-Christian America. But something about him has set my lobster brain twitching. Yeah … imagine that … I trust a crude, Trump in a China Shop breaking things …more than I do a super slick, perfectly well-spoken Trump clone.

  14. Tucker is not quite Joe Rogen.. But, he is 100 million eyeballs.. Like Joe, he is beyond a platform.. He has transcended media.. A serious player who can make or break political careers..

As for him starting his own media business.. Why would he not?..

The edge of Rogan.. The appeal of Alex Jones.. Cleansed of pot smoke and conspiracy theories he was fired because of his power..
    Tucker is the real deal..

  15. I didn’t watch all of the interviews but what I did catch convinces me that Tucker has taken three of these ‘contenders’ out of the race. Pence, Hutchinson and Haley are toast, hoisted on their own petard. I can see the quotes being implemented by Team Trump in the next few hours to formulate the next series of campaign ads, nothing like letting the opposition skewer themselves in front of the voting public and then playing the quotes at the next Trump rally. “The stupid is strong in these ones!”
