    2. Thank God I renewed my passport about a year ago … for the full 10 years.

      When I travel, I won’t be deemed gay upon entry to countries that don’t particularly care for the gay life-style, which is, the majority of countries. Those who do tolerate it, are doing so under the duress of the majority.

    Canada should change its flag to a buttercup with two yellow stripes, it’s something both sides of the aisle here have shown themselves to agree on: A population of fearful Karens and their Manginas who carry water for them.

      True. The maple leaf, (which is flora not seen everywhere in this country, incidentally), was originally green on the Red Ensign. Pearson changed it to Liberal Red on his flag.

    LOL…they just can’t quit him.
    And if you have any illusions that Canada’s military doesn’t and would never unleash malevolent programs on Canadians…let this article dispel you of that notion.

  10. Interestingly, the CF’s annual Personnel evaluation software has a hidden algorithm that spits out an diversity and inclusion score. It generates a little paragraph on personnel’s ideological purity. The factors considered by the algorithm are very fuzzy (such as having “difficult conversations” and “creating an inclusive space”) and what weight any of them are given is not stated. Somebody has the key, but not your average Joe. No idea how it affects promotions or appointments. And it stay on your record. THAT is something the media should be looking at. An ideological assessment independant from performance that is next to impossible to figure out or correct given the variables and their weight are unknown.

      Years ago, in the short period where Sterling Faux was hosting a weekend evening national broadcast on Wic or Corus, (I think he’d been given the sack on his high-profile west coast gig), he hosted two senior recruiters from the CF. They sounded very young, very woke (this was before the term even existed), and very aggressive in their “progessive” politics. I kept wondering, “what does anything they have to say go to do with fighting a war?” As their sign-off from the interview, they said “if you don’t like what we’ve said here tonight about a new Canadian Forces, then we don’t want you, so don’t bother applying.” I figured with these two weirdos in charge, recruitment would take a nose dive. It is true that overall headcount has been “streamlined” since this interview.

      Getting back to Sterling Faux, his brief weekend evening stint was excellent. Apart from these two CF recruiters, many of his guests were outside the mainstream. He regularly had guests on predicting the 2008/9 financial crisis at the very height of the financial boom in 2006. I guess he was fired for being too interesting and too on point.

  19. Don’t fret. What you need to do is look on the rainbow as a reminder of Peter’s words:

    In fact, one of their flags, with those words printed on it, would be desirable.

  20. Does anyone remember the old joke t-shirt from early 80’s. It said “Visit Russia, before Russia visits you,” and had a graphic of a T-72 tank on it, with hammer and sickle.
    I never thought we would see the day when we would want the Russians to come and liberate us.
