I am obviously a fool and an idiot.
Trump dominated, he curb-stomped. Under the worst possible circumstances of defections and criticism he still did the homework. Other than the pre-debate press conference there wasn’t the sex fire-works assumed to happen. On the issues raised Trump destroyed Clinton. It’s like Clinton decided it was over and…it wasn’t.
Lord knows what happens now.

  3. CNN behaved pretty much during the debate. It looks like they’re back to their usual behavior in deconstructing the debate though. I am surprised and not surprised, respectively.

The looks on the faces of the Clinton Media whores tells the story… David Brooks of the New York Slimes said, “Trump stalked the stage like a mafioso”, no bias there, poor baby.   5. No he did not dominate, he did not crub stomp, he won on points but it was a narrow to fair win, not a knock out and certainly not a game changer. Last week was disastrous for him and this will only partly alleviate the losses.

  12. Fine words, but do you think the average Hillary supporter (read…. Trump Hater – very few are actually voting FOR Hillary) knows or cares what may have been said, or what points raised, in a debate? All they care about is seeing De Niro yapping on a Facebook post about wanting to punch Trump, or a jack-o-lantern carved to look like an angry Trump. All they care about is image, and the media whores have done their ground work for months on that front. Hillary could skip the debates entirely, and the media controlled LIVs who vote only according to image presented in the media (cuz, like, Ideas and Issues and Accountability are like, so mean spirited) would still put her over the top. Well, that and the dead voters.

So, now I end up having to adopt some other SUCCESSFUL team playing post-season ball with one of our ex-talents.   18. First she publicly demonizes Russia with 500 million global viewers, and then when asked about controlling ISIS she states that “we need to work together with Russia and…”
    Trump did a good job, but he needs to continue hammering her involvement in the “Arab Spring” and the rise of ISIS.
    He lost an opportunity when she talked about American energy independence and simultaneously claimed US interests in the Middle East.
    I thought she almost slipped into her poor white mountain drawl when talking about Appalachian coal mines. Too bad, the meds must have been strong tonight.

  19. Lance, no, your neither of those. You just have a healthy concern to have the right candidate, and in a perfect world Trump would not be a candidate for the presidency and most certainly Clinton would for sure not be the candidate.
    Trump handily won the debate this evening, but it remains to be seen if he can get the momentum back. Frank Lunn’s focus group came in with few Trump supporters, but ended the debate with almost all of the group supporting him.

  22. That is not how these things work. People do not vote after assessing debate performance. They are looking for a President who can address the many problems. — not who did best in debate. Debates count, but mostly as a way of assessing the competence of a candidate. Trump was ok in the last debate. He was 100% in this one. That should help bolster confidence in him.

  33. Trump won Sunday night, no doubt about that. The most instructive outcome won’t be anything said during the debate, it will be watching the MSM gasbags torque themselves into pretzels trying to convince us (again) that Hillary was the winner.
    At this point in the campaign Trump could be shown cooking kittens in a microwave and those of us who support him wouldn’t care, because we’ve waited two decades for a politician who openly shows disdain for the MSM and makes their pompous heads explode. Policy schmolicy …I’m a shallow deplorable revenge seeker.

  34. Well, for what it’s worth , here’s my take on the “debate”. I just couldn’t stomach watching it last night, so I brewed some strong coffee and watched it this AM.
    The moderators were fair and balanced? BS! Hillary was often invited to rebut, Trump often had to fight for his rebuttals. The “no cheering” rule for the audience seemed to exist to keep Trump supporters mute. If anything, after repeated complaints by Trump, it appears to me that both moderators had no choice but to make an attempt to LOOK less biased. It failed. Trump rightfully called them out for their bias from start to finish.
    I tried like hell to be open-minded myself, but let’s be real, there is too much at stake not to be emotionally involved. Still, it seemed to me that Trump clearly trounced her on policy and conducted himself far, far more professionally than debate #1.
    I thought Trump missed an exceptional opportunity on the question from the Muslim lady. He should have simply asked her if she was an Islamist. He should have pointed out the TWO-PRONG threat to the western world that Islam represents. Terrorism AND Sharia Law. Where was the challenge to Clinton on the mass importation of haters of women and gays to America?
    Does ANYBODY give a shit about America’s extreme debt and the fact Obama shamefully doubled it?
    He slaughtered her on the email scandal and rightfully challenged the moderators for not doing same. Appointing a special investigator if he is elected…. well….. I may have actually got a chubby.
    Putting Bill’s accusers in the audience was masterful and I believe it stopped Hillary dead in her tracks on beating the dead horse of Trump’s reputation.
    He successfully made Hillary look the fool on both her tax and healthcare doublespeak.
    Trump should have called out the media for being in the tank for Hillary and challenged Americans to seek out alternative news sources to find some balance. But then IMO, every other sentence out of his yapper should be to that point.
    I know many are saying Hillary won, and in their own minds they probably have no doubt of that. To my mind, if she were also forced to debate 1 against 3, I would agree with them.

    As an old debate judge and moderator I cant bring myself to watch these things. They are the furthest thing from debate there is. More like wrestling than a serious exchange of ideas. I suspect few minds were changed.

Some pundits called the de age a draw on points and delivery. I wasn’t sure what they were talking about so
    I watched it again It looked like an even stronger victory – I can understand why “curb stomped” was used to describe the outcome in SDA’s comments. Hillary indeed looked crooked and lost and Trump projected strong vision and character. Great job once again in defying your many many detractors Donald!

  47. Hillary was supposed to provide the kill shot tonight. Just look at polling, albeit pre-debate and presumably before Mr Trump’s presser ambush.
    Clinton out on front by 10%+. Head to head, a done deal. An eight swing against Trump on Rasmussen, though he still leads the LA Times predictive poll.
    No matter the debate bounce, Trump hurt himself badly with women, which was the Dementomedia’s goal all along, to continually keep him off message.
    We saw last night what happens when he gets to go on message. When Hillary said it was awfully good someone of Trump’s temperament wasn’t in charge of the law, his “because you’d be in jail,” zinger was the enduring moment, but will it be enough?
    Had a talk with my daughter about this last night. She rightfully condemned Trump’s remarks, she said because they were representative of a rape culture and white privilege. I told her I wasn’t a rapist and the men (and women, ahem) of her generation were more crude and rude and abusive than mine, so I wanted no part of the “I think I’m right but have no idea why” so-called analysis of the PC Indoctrinariat’s opinions on sex, privilege or culture.
    She listened. I went on to tell her the media were utterly biased. I asked her what she would think if her doctor said she wouldn’t perform a surgery because my daughter voted NDP.
    She said that would of course be unacceptable and saw my point on the media. So, a small chink in the PC armour; btw she’s no fan of Hillary anyway.
    But I got a smile when I called Trudeau a dishonest idiot; in fact she had me go through the complete list of our PMs back to cabin boy’s dad.
    I wonder why she did that?
