Seismologists in Denmark and Sweden on Monday registered powerful blasts in the areas of the Nord Stream gas leaks, Sweden’s National Seismology Centre (SNSN) at the Uppsala University told public broadcaster SVT on Tuesday.
“There is no doubt that these were explosions,” SNSN seismologist Bjorn Lund told SVT.
The size of the Nord Stream pipeline gas leak is huge.

It was inevitable that unless they have security on these lines, they’ll be sabotaged until a new alliances and contracts signed.

I read this yesterday through a European link. The locals are blaming the USA for sabotage: USA making $$$ on LNG, USA wants more war in the Ukraine.
Other comments along line that if lines are disabled, lets politicians off the hook, “don’t blame me for sanctions”.
There was a story yesterday on OilPrice.com about how the EU’s gas fill up was way ahead of schedule- something like 5 weeks ahead of last year while U.S. nat gas prices got drop kicked below $7/MBtu. The story’s tone was clearly smug, like the EU didn’t need outside help to make it through the winter (even if the price to fill their gas storage was 10x higher). If this sabotage turns out to be real and significant the accuracy of both that story and of Trump’s 2018 warning to the German delegation about being in bed with Russian Energy means you’re at their mercy will be immediately tested to see which one’s more pertinent. I can’t say I’m not surprised if it is sabotage. I wouldn’t be surprised if the perps were non-Russians either given the utter hate leftist EU Gov’ts have for their own. It’s a crazy world.

Right now, it appears Putin’s life is on the line, so he’s placed all his chips on the table. Iranian drones are beginning to impact Ukranian advances in the east and the Ukranians need advanced US weapons technology to counter them… which the US is not keen on sharing, unless they are manned by US troops. To whit…the two explosions that disrupted Nord Stream 2 are not accidents, they are the actions of a superpower with knowledge of the pipeline, and it’s most vulnerable points and the ability to apply and detonate an explosive a mile underwater. It has to be the Russians, and their actions are a not so subtle declaration of war on NATO.

I think they said that at the point of one explosion it was only 70 metres deep and 100 metres at another explosion. With a reasonable commercial sonar I could find that pipeline and drop a drum of ANFO on it with a timer however at that depth a “Techincal Scuba Diver” could place the explosives up to a depth of 200 metres so it doesn’t have to be a national actor, it could be anyone with the ability to hire the right group of skilled individuals.
I’ll bet it was Israelis. It’s always the Israelis. Or aliens. Not the Russians. Maybe Ukrainians. Or the Chinese. Yeah, China.
