Very, very disturbing. Auto production in Soviet Canuckistan will soon be a thing of the past due to the incredible incompetence of the liarberals and the maniacal hubris and zealotry of the “elbows up” morons. Thousands upon thousands of jobs at stake. At least all those auto-workers who will be thrown out of work can enjoy plenty of good, fresh milk at $7 a gallon, whoops, per 4 litres, to make those Quebec dairy farmers nice and rich and secure.

There will be no referendum. There won’t be a need for one

      1. “Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after ‘brutal’ knife attack in Belfast”
        https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cdejnjdg08eo

“A man believed to be Somali has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a “brutal” knife attack in Belfast, police have said.
The man, in his 30s, remains in custody after the incident in north Belfast at about 22:30 BST on Monday.
Video circulating online shows a number of people, including one wielding a hurling stick, confronting the apparent attacker until the police arrived.
A man injured in the attack, aged in his 40s, is in hospital where his condition is described as serious.”

I’m surprised the gov’t news outlet has mentioned “Somali” in their opening reportage.
And I’m still not accustomed to seeing this sort of attempted murder take place…

Instructions via WhatsApp have been sent out for shops in the areas to close near to 5PM or face consequences. Some people saying Irish citizens will be traveling north to protest with them…

Also a correction for the above, the culprit is said to be from Sudan, not Somali, and was recently given a 5 year visa from the UK Gov’t.

      2. Hurling is a uniquely Irish sport. It’s massive in Ireland, and every city has its local team that is just as popular as futball. We have close friends in Ireland (Gráinne) who have gifted my grandsons hurling jerseys … copy and paste

A proper weapon, those hurling sticks

“Nothing quite like a nice piece of hickory”, err Ash … Clint Eastwood.

  2. Watching the stupid antics of stupid people is time poorly spent.

It reminds me of a saying: It is better to be alone than with stupid or disagreeable people.

    1. My problem is, when I’m alone I’m still with stupid or disagreeable people.

      1. Read a Matt Helm book. “The Death of a Citizen” is a good place to start.

      2. You aren’t a disagreeable as I!
Hell, I am so disagreeable I spend half the day disagreeing with myself. No, you don’t. Yes, I do!

        1. Hence YOU are a sentient being … as animals have no such internal struggles

    1. Number one reason is that in the last dozen years the Canadian economy has gone into the shitter. In Canadian dollar terms we are barely holding on but the Canadian dollar has lost over 30% of its value. We are being crushed by the developed world. I also suspect a lot of new Canadians weren’t looking for a winter wonderland and move on to the US at first opportunity.

    2. I’m trying to convince my girlfriend that it’s time to go to Mexico permanently.

      1. Yeah, that’s the cold hard truth.

The tree of liberty needs to be refreshed.

    1. I worked in a Liberal constituency office when Jason Kenney was the Immigration Minister.

The Liberals loved him and his open borders policy.

I could not handle how many people I was supposed to help, who were bringing over schizophrenic relatives (all African), and all the unskilled middle-aged or older workers who were immediately being put on our transplant lists (all were for livers or kidneys) though years later I found out from the office manager that they were priority immigrants at the request of the Aga Khan!

Kenney completely ignored Section 38.1(c) of the immigration act and in 2016 the Liberals eliminated it completely calling it racist, the section that stated that all people who are likely to be an undue burden on the Canadian healthcare system are ineligible for entry to Canada.

Yes, I quit the part-time job before it ever became full-time (so no pension) and eventually quit the Liberal Party. I don’t “belong” to any political party.

  3. My wife wanted a spectacular sink for her powder room. She sourced one from Turkey. Very inexpensive. Made from a single piece of sculpted marble that holds pink and white hues. They sent us photos during the process. Incredible handywork. Very nice people. Highly recommend them.

Then … they contacted us to determine how to ship this beauty. My wife asked what the options were. They suggested ocean freight. It’s the cheapest. My wife asked about air cargo because she needs the sink sooner rather than later. They didn’t recommend it. Why not?

Because it weighs 500 lbs! Whoops. Checking with the framers to see if that can even go on the wall.

Tip of the day: When you order something overseas ask about shipping weight and dimensions.
