  1. We’ll look back at this in 2036 (or 2046?) as the least expensive year ever for high speed rail in whatever’s left of tier 2 Canada by then.
    Do you think ViaRail or whoever the rail overseer is then, will apologize for leaving 20 seconds early or 20 seconds late like they do in Japan?

    Spending hundreds of billions on infrastructure that never materializes is a hallmark of liberal governance.

It’s the perfect grift, it’s going to take 5 years before the first shovel is in the ground doing “planning”, and then another 10 years work of lawsuits and “consultation” and the first and second lease useful leg between Ottawa and Montreal might get built allowing more money to be shoveled towards Quebec companies.
