    Put their money where their mouth is.

  8. About 20% of the Canadian population has a second passport. I assume most of them would leave when the s*it hits the fan. Another 7 million are children under 10 and people over 70. Add to those the pro-independence people in Quebec and Alberta. And there’s the perennial 10% who would welcome the US troops with open arms.

  9. I stopped my $40 a month subscription to the Globe about a year ago, for obvious reasons. I had been subscribing since the left-wing paper does have a stockwatch feature, allowing holders of stocks and ETFs to analyze corporations they own or are considering buying. To my surprise, they also allow non-subscribers to use their stockwatch feature for free. So I still use the feature, so I glance the Globe every day.

    My point is that this slavishly pro-Carney outlet has become rabidly anti-U.S., they see no problems publishing absurd slop like this posted article. Note in passing that the Thompson-Reuters corporation, which owns the G&M, has steadily declined over the past few years.

  11. I agree with the globe and mail, kinda. Canadians need to learn passive resistance because of the policies of our Canadian federal, provincial and municipal political class. For instance, how to protect yourself from the government freezing your bank accounts, illegally declaring a national emergency and other violations citizens constitutional rights.

  16. I still don’t understand why the flipfloppers choose Chinada, it’s a cold weather country. It’s unnatural for them.
    Life is easy in a warm weather country, much more comfortable. Given the choice, most of us would relocate to a warm weather location year round, everything else being equal.
    But they come here, initially for FREE MUNNY. But then they work in servitude within their own culture, here. They are still in a caste system they thought they had escaped. And the weathers cold, it’s expensive to live here, they still have to be in their family hierarchy, wear shitty clothes, and live a in a box room with several smelly friends.
    And then? They either make shitty labourers, shitty fast food workers that can’t cook western food, or are permanent servants in one way or another.
    In a COLD climate.
    The white chicks want nothing to do with them too.
    Not the sharpest tools in the drawer.

    This is why I brought up veterans and especially Ukrainian veterans yesterday. I’m a bit disappointed that nobody caught the clue. It appears as though you’ll at least be taking care of them and their families. So I ask again, how are Canadian veterans doing? Perhaps some of the newly minted foreigners with military experience your government is desiring will be given some bennies, if nobody else.

  19. Not sure about Canada, but in Alberta the Yanks would be getting sick of getting pulled into every backyard along the way for steaks and beers. They’d be as revered as highly as Canadian soldiers formerly were in Belgium.

    Canada has become such an embarrassing shit hole. (it started long before Trudeau Jr; and the Cdn “conservatives” ain’t exactly blameless either)
