I’ve noted the same thing about most churches though, not to single out the RCs for a special scolding. The Anglican church for example is completely made of rubber these days. To the point where the American side has essentially told the original British side to get stuffed, or so I hear.

The Roman Church’s official condemnation of anti-Semitism has never amounted to more than empty words. Oh, Rome doesn’t actually call for Israel’s destruction, for good reason—a nuclear-tipped Jericho rocket would make short work of Vatican City. But Rome has never truly repented her goal of forcing the Jews to choose between extermination or conversion to a pagan cult with Christian window-dressing that teaches that an Italian gangster in a silly hat is God’s representative in this world. Rome never repents anything.
A nuclear-armed Israel with support from an America governed by a Righteous Gentile is, to put it mildly, a serious obstacle to Rome’s agenda.
Even if the current pope is an American, his loyalty is to the Roman cult to which he’s devoted his earthly life. He is not going to change, and his interference in secular politics will never be to the benefit of the American people.
