Remember the goal. Part of that goal, per the former Club of Rome, of which Pierre Trudeau and Maurice Strong (the founder) were members, believed that the population of the earth was to be limited to 500 million in total. So it is not surprising that they wanted population reduction and control. It is a death cult.
exactly so. population reduction was the goal all along. easy enough to create a famine in the less developed parts of the world or a debilitating war using tribalism to keep it going. a bit harder in the developed world …create a soft socialism in the west by both consumerism, govt control of industry, media compliance and an effort to eliminate the Judeo-Christian ethic that used to characterize the West. You end up with a society which is based on envy, that refuses to accept that some people are more naturally talented that others and those people can and do create wealth, not only for themselves but others. Allow this envy to grow and fester, creating a whole lot of mental issues and misconceptions, such that a segment of society will either render themselves unable to reproduce or become suicidal. the key concept is to get people to think that others are the problem, and not focus on the government. how am I doin so far?

Anyone who has studied the eugenics movement would not be surprised by this. You kill it off by one plague and environment change after another until finally there are no survivals left to reproduce.
