In China today … the struggle sessions are virtual. Obedience has been sanitized. The threats, the censorship, the burning of books aren’t quite so dramatic.
Mao and his proletariat army of apparatchiks have been institutionalized. No need to take to the streets and make spectacles. It’s all in the algorithms now. Dissidents can be quietly cancelled. Goodnight and Good Luck.

Yeah, everything is rosy until youth unemployment hits 20% and the peasants are starving. Again. That’s the situation right now.
Interesting datum, lately Temu and Alibaba are filled with all kinds of highly detailed metal models, funny little antique reproductions, model steam engines, stuff like that. Toys. Quality is better than one might expect, and they’re -cheap-.
Because China has an -immense- CNC production overcapacity, and factory owners are churning out this crap in an effort to keep the lights on. They’re crashing.
When the power goes out and stays out because #TheDonald blew up Iran, the life expectancy of Communists will be measured in days. Every lamp post in China will have a decoration on it. A reckoning long overdue.
That’s why #TheDonald is doing what he’s doing, and that’s why he told Europe to shove it. If he didn’t do it, the Chicoms would take Taiwan, then Korea, then Japan, and then Australia. Because they’re Communists. That’s how they roll.
