  1. Driving across the nation this week … with my Bluetooth paired 15’ Ford UHaul truck and car-carrying (suv carrying) trailer.

So across the nation I am streaming my favorite KVHS high school radio station. Deep cuts from (mostly) the 1970’s.

And their incomparable music selector (virtual DJ?) serves up this gem first thing this morning … The Flying Burrito Bros. Just can’t be … we’ve ALL been there.

      1. I’d rather not say specifically … but somewhere in the Appalachian mountain range zone of human settlements.

BTW … my final epic day of driving was the most excruciatingly difficult hours I have ever spent behind the wheel of a vehicle. Yes, the weather turned … ugly … and as it is want to do … and turned the humans into spastic idiots. I SURVIVED my final day of driving. I will add some color later.

But now … I can proudly say that I did the Kessel run … in three parsecs!

      1. Nice article about the Speedwagon. Love the name. Even more than Dodge’s Powerwagon

  2. Annnnnd a serious note about my journey. We all know that CA roads are shit. And the worst were just outside Palm f-ing Springs. The two right lanes were a potholed mess for miles. But what has really bothered me is the condition of I 40 through AZ and NM. The highway is a deteriorated, poorly maintained MESS. Pot holes everywhere … poorly patched and almost as bad as the pothole. My back is sore from being bounced around all day.

It’s so bad that when the road is clear, I drove with one wheel on the center dividing line between lanes. And when not clear, did the same thing with the right wheel over the curb line … just to avoid driving in the mangled roadbed. The truckers were doing it too.

Didn’t we spend over $3T on “infrastructure” between Obama, Trump, and Biden? But there was not enough $$$ to properly repair our interstate highways. I’m telling you, this is a national embarrassment.

For all our trucker problems … I’m surprised the truckers are not driving a convoy to Wash. DC protesting the deplorable condition of our roads. And these roads are being HEAVILY travelled as we have transitioned into a mail order society. Wall to wall trucks in the middle of nowhere USA.

Just a little more deterioration… and Americas infrastructure will resemble a third world country’s. It’s absolutely scandalous.

    1. Except for the potholes, I’m jealous of your journey.

One of the great blessings of my life is the freedom I now have to drive north, west, south, & east across America.

Your road reports are obviously accurate, but many Canadian travel bloggers often remark about how much better the roads are south of the border. Apparently not everywhere, it seems.

    2. Last year I had the good fortune of driving north from San Francisco into Southern Oregon (Gold Beach). We did not take the entire ocean route due to time constraints but we did stop for oysters and some excellent California wine in a nice bay at the ocean’s edge.

I was surprised by the high quality of the highways, much of them recently repaved, right up to the Oregon border where things quickly changed.

Kenji, if you think California has bad highways I invite you to take a drive down the main drag of Timmins or Sudbury, or along Highway 11 in Northern Ontario. Our TransCanada highway has many sections with an 80 km/hr speed limit, one lane each way with an unpaved shoulder and lots of potholes. Welcome to Canada.

      1. Yeah, I travelled east on I90 and back home via TCH. Even with four lanes, the TCH is garbage compared to the Interstate system. Rest stops on the TCH, with one or two exceptions, are just two-holers off to the side. The Interstates are true controlled access freeways. In Kanada, even though the government calls them that, there are no freeways. Four and six lane divided highways here still have level intersections and rail crossings. Yet Rooster Lollipop Marx Carnage has the gall to say Kanadians are builders.

    3. I90 is in pretty good shape. There was also quite a bit of maintenance going on when we were travelling on it in May of 2024.

    1. There is a joke out there about changing TSA employees with Chic-Fil-A to speed up the airports.

    1. I deleted their app. They were so proud that it came with a climate change warning function.

  3. The big morning news where I live – 400 more permanent layoffs at Conestoga College. Not enough money from international students. The story behind the story – WTF did we allow that many Indians in the country that they needed over 400 more staff (this isn’t the first layoff)?

    1. Lambton College in Sarnia, Ontario enrollment going from 5100 to 2900 by the time the graduations work out. 1 giant scam to benefit the post secondary education industry and entry level jobs in hospitality, fast food and convenience stores. Guess who ‘foots the bill’?

  4. Today’s conspiracy is that just before Ma was going to cross over to the liberals Poliviere was told and his response was

    PP:“Yes I know”
    Aide:”but shouldn’t we stop him?”
    PP:”no, you’ll thank me later”

      1. And it sounds like pensions too. No real military build-out. Accountants all the way down.

        1. When your overall economy shrinks by 10%, if you don’t change the military spending, its portion of the economy grows by .2%! (Just inventing the numbers, but I think you know what I’m getting at).

          1. Concur

The goal was 2% of GDP, not increased capability.
A goal that can obtained in good faith by increasing capability until the spending meets it or by including anything as “defence and security spending” and tanking the economy until the defence budget equals 2% of a depleted GDP.
Thats how something like funding security for a pride event counts as defence spending.

Note that nobody except a liberal partisan actually believes the goal was attained, especially the rest of the world. They get better intelligence than our government does, they just pick up a copy of Jane’s defence

    1. Arming the Canadian military with single-shot Crickets.
How much of the 2% was spent on firearm buy-backs?

    2. Well….spending is the one thing our federal gov’t does well. In no way does that imply that the CAF will benefit in any way by that extra spending.
There are probably some Liberal friends who made out pretty well.
Remember the 1/2 million dollar tiny homes they were so proud of?

  5. https://torontosun.com/news/world/america-rolls-out-red-carpet-to-prison-for-canadian-pedos

Good article by Brad Hunter of the Toronto Sun, highlighting the discrepancy between jail sentences for pedophiles, between Canada and the U.S. Take the case of Musta Hosseini, who had the hots for young girls, so much so he drove from Manitoba to meet a “girl” in the U.S. that turned out to be a police sting. The Muslim adherent got 46 years there, not the 3-4 years in our wink-nod country.

  6. In a case of “What is he smoking” Ontario’s budget deficit will balloon to $13.8 billion in 2026-2027 (almost twice the previous projection) before settling down to a surplus in 2028-2029.

    https://budget.ontario.ca/2026/brief.html

If I read their idiotic graph properly the government was projecting a small surplus in 2027-2028 back in 2025 but it’s now a sizeable deficit. But the projection for 2028-2029 is a surplus. In 2025 they estimated a 12.3 B which ended up being 14.6 B.

A surplus in 2028-2029. Who wants to wager that will happen? Wait, when does Doug Ford leave provincial politics? 2028?

  7. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c8dlq8e45e5o

The Bradford city council refused to grant permission for a Muslim madrassa (a place of learning) to be converted into a mosque. The Muslims claimed that the new mosque would hold 50 people tops, but 200 people signed the petition.

(but wait until the Islamists take over Bradford city hall).

  8. https://www.cicnews.com/2026/03/how-international-students-can-fast-track-their-journey-to-canadian-pr-0373266.html

CIC News, c/o one Asheesh Mossapeta, says that in 2027 the Carney government will be fast-tracking all newcomers to Canada –students, temporary workers, etc. — by mailing out SIN cards to their home countries in advance of their arrival.

I checked with AI, and it says CIC News gives out reputable information. So it seems Aseesh is on top of things.

  9. THE DEMOCRAT SPIN MACHINE CANT FIX THIS:
Democrat Chicago Alderwoman named Maria Hadden blamed the victim, suggesting that Gorman was in the wrong place at the wrong time, or that she might have startled the shooter.

Hadden isn’t the only one feeling the heat, so are Pritzker and Johnson. The suspect couldn’t make his court appearance because he required a $30k TB treatment that Illinois taxpayers are paying.

Hard pass on the videos tho.

  13. AND IT ONLY COSTS $30 MILLION PER YEAR

Chicago, Where The Mayor’s Safety Is Far More Important Than Any Average Citizen’s – Shooting News Weekly
    https://www.shootingnewsweekly.com/gun-control/chicago-where-the-mayors-safety-is-far-more-important-than-any-average-citizens/
Reports now circulating in Chicago political media and on social media reveal Mayor Johnson’s personal armed security detail includes as many as 150 Chicago Police Department officers at a cost to taxpayers of roughly $30 million a year. That’s almost three times the number of cops that protected Johnson’s predecessor, Lori Lightfoot.

  14. Re They lied to you..

Great video. I always suspected there was a scam behind lotteries.

And then “media relations” won’t talk because of a power failure, despite the lights being on and the elevator working.

Rebel News doing the work the mainstream media can’t be bothered with.
