New car registrations in February were the highest in more than 20 years but the take-up of electric vehicles is stuck in the slow lane.
More than 90,000 new cars were registered last month, the highest number for the month of February since 2004.
But the market share of new electric cars shrank for the second consecutive month.
More: The latest sales data from @SPGMobility confirms that ZEV sales collapsed in 🇨🇦 last year, decreasing by 32%.

One would have to be an economic retard to buy an electric vehicle. They are very problematic and quickly become an albatross around the necks of those who do go deep in debt to virtue signal their lunacy.
When are the Chinese EV’s coming to Canada?? I’m sure customers will line up for them!
Whether from the U.S., Japan, China, or wherever EVs are still a battery powered vehicle with a battery powered heater. Totally unsuited for the Canadian climate and Canadian distances. They are a fair weather second car at best.
Don’t worry, the Canadian government will give you money to buy a vehicle that no one wants… not enough to cover the spread between an ICE and a EV, but just enough to get suckers to buy in.
Pssst … there’s no such thing as a ZEV (Zero Emission Vehicle). They are TEV’s (Transferred Emission Vehicles). Their emissions are transferred to the poor people’s neighborhoods where the power plants are located.
The Government would Never Lie to You.
9 CEOs of auto companies have fallen victim to the absurd EV insanity.
And how many of those CEOs are planning car plants in Canada? Most are planning moves to the US where they can build what the buying public wants. Trump isn’t the threat to Canada’s auto industry, Carney’s net zero is.
Liberals doing Trump’s work for him.
