During an official Department of War (DOW) press conference Thursday afternoon, Cooper said that the number of Iranian ships now sunk under ocean waves thanks to American forces is up to 30, with a particularly large vessel set ablaze just before the press conference began.
“if I just look back over the last 24 hours of the operation compared to where we were at its start, ballistic missile attacks have decreased by 90% since day one,” Cooper said, illuminating how few weapons the Iranian regime still has at its disposal.
He continued, “Drone attacks have decreased by 83% since day one. Having said this, we remain vigilant. Our strikes against the Iranian Navy have intensified. You may have heard the President say, just a little while ago that we have sunk or destroyed 24 ships. That was true at the moment. We’re now up over 30 ships.”
Most impressively of all, and perhaps explaining why Hegseth and Cooper were late starting the press conference, they had just received word of another victory: “And in just the last few hours, we hit an Iranian drone carrier ship, roughly the size of a World War II aircraft carrier, and as we speak, it’s on fire,” Cooper confirmed.

Iran has/had a couple dozen mini subs designed to bottle up the Gulf. I’m wondering how many the US destroyed. Hopefully all of them.

It was claimed on day 2, or 3 that the US had destroyed one sub, among ten or more other destroyed vessels at that point. The statement was brief and generalized.. If this is indeed the only type of submarines they have, then at least 1/3 of their sub-mariner force is at the bottom now.. forever.. They all may be gone as of now, but that is the only one I recall hearing about.
Iran had 3 submarines when this started, now it would seem they have over 30. An impressive fleet.
They had or still may have 3 Kilo class subs. Soviet type from the 80’s, electric patrol boats. The rest I think are those mini subs. I have no idea what shape they are in. Remember Canada has 4 subs on paper… and we know what shape they are in.
