Don’t Let The Door Hit You…

Kristi Noem is out as of tonight as head of Homeland Security.

The decision to replace Kristi Noem as Department of Homeland Security secretary came together quickly, and the timing of President Trump’s announcement caught many across DHS off guard, even as tensions had been building for weeks between Noem and the White House, according to senior White House and DHS officials.

  1. I haven’t read any reportage in the MSM which has said this was anything but “fired”.
She doesn’t seem too unhappy about this turn of events. Her appointment came at the beginning of what was to be a turning point away from the open door society run by the Democrats.

“Thank you @POTUS Trump for appointing me as the Special Envoy for the Shield of the Americas.
@SecRubio and @SecWar are incredible leaders and I look forward to working with them closely to dismantle cartels that have poured drugs into our nation and killed our children and grandchildren.

The Western Hemisphere is absolutely critical for U.S. security. In this new role, I will be able to build on the partnerships and national security expertise, I forged over the last 13 months as Secretary of Homeland Security.

We have made historic accomplishments at the Department of Homeland Security to make America safe again: we delivered the MOST secure border in American history, 3 million illegal aliens have left the U.S., we have located 145,000 children, FEMA delivered disaster relief at a 100% faster rate, we ushered in the golden age of travel, saved the American taxpayer $13 billion and revitalized the U.S. Coast Guard.”

    1. Actually, removing her from DHS kneecaps the Dem’s who have shut down the government over DHS funding … and they won’t be able to impeach Noem … and keep blaming her for dead Marxist agitators … on and on. The Dem’s just lost the focal point of their anti-American, pro-Criminal Alien narrative.

      Nice move Susie Wiles

      1. I don’t know what the Democrats are thinking. My opinion is The President and his circle of advisors are multiples smarter than whatever the Democrats may have on their team.

        1. That bar is not that high. If Republicans had their shit together multiple Democrat members of Congress would be under investigation by Grand Juries for representing geographies of which they are not legal residents.

  2. Here is where I remind everyone I am no fan of Noem? Why? Because she allowed Trans athletes to infect her State. She was afraid the NCAA would retaliate if she stood up to their LGBTQueer insanity. So she screwed the girls of S. Dakota. She lost me then and there.

  3. A convenient scapegoat.
    She has a golden parachute.
    Seems manufactured for the midterms.
    Politics 101.
ICE is doing its job. The advert campaign was cool.
This is red meat for the media. Look at them chew.

  4. Well played. This takes off the heat from the Minnesota issues.
New broom, clean slate and all that stuff.

  5. Kristi Noem is the consumate self-promoting politician who has always put optics above substance. All you need to do is look at her face to make that determination. I don’t know how much plastic surgery she’s had, but it’s approaching the expiration date.

More aptly, I’d refer you back to 2021. She vetoed a bill in South Dakota as governor that would have banned males from playing women’s sports. She got roughed up by the right side of the aisle on the issue, so she made the excuse that she only vetoed it to avoid legal entanglements with the NCAA. BUT, then she saw the reactions from her potential voters and *BINGO*, she signed a bill in 2022 banning males from women’s sports. Total 180 because of political ambitions. She was still playing around with being a VP candidate back then.

Kristi Noem supports Kristi Noem…end of story.

  6. I don’t know Kirsti Noem from William Shakespeare bur if she oversaw the closing of the US border with Mexico then I tip my hat to her for a job well done.

  7. Will miss those eyes of course, but she had to go. Just too many self-inflicted screw-ups. To be fair, mainly “optics” related.

  8. I won’t miss Noem, I don’t know, if she is solely responsible, but I feel that the DHS policies were deliberately confrontational, meant to create theater, intended to generate controversy and publicity rather than an image that was meticulous, competent, and professional. In addition it was used by the Left to deflect and misdirect attention away from the fraud. Not blaming her entirely. I realize all the rent seekers in the pro immigration industrial complex were coordinating to undermine the law and Trump. In some ways, I feel Noem played into their games.
Also, I would not have prioritized antagonistic blue cities. I would have prioritized cooperative cities with supportive law enforcement, maybe even driving the criminal element to the sanctuary cities to deal with. I would have let the positive results in compliant cities speak for itself.

Not a bad idea, in fact. Surprising that no one in the US government thought of it.
